From what I understand, backordering means the product is currently out of stock, but HLJ is planning to restock and has ordered more from whichever company is manufacturing the product. Just have to wait until new stock arrives. Of course, there's no guarantee that a shipment might be canceled or delayed indefinitely.

Wait, what? There was a revoltech Bumblebee in the works?

That's true. Objectively speaking, he's got something for everyone. Badass cutting edge CGI robots and hot chicks for the general audience, toilet humor for the teens, . In an interview, he said something about coming to an epiphany when he noticed the audience walking out of the theater befuddled after watching Blade Runner, but happy and enthusiastic after Star Wars...or something to that effect- 950 replies

Actually managed to get my hands on an FE Arcee! Surprisingly, there are pink accents painted on the face and shins, unlike in the promo pics. Overall, she's very well-designed, and in person, the back kibble is easily forgiveable. Really like the included display stand, too--not exactly stable, but it's free and it looks decent. Now I don't get why some people say her proportions are not as feminine as RID Arcee. The head sculpt and proportions are totally fine in person; it's just the trademark poorly taken pics from Hasbro that made her look bad. The fact that she has double-jointed elbows makes her a class above RID as well. I notice that the plastic is rather soft, though. There were several times while I was transforming her that I wasn;t sure if I was bending a particularly stiff joint too far, as the plastic started bending before the joint even moved. She's a midget in alt mode compared to her ROTF incarnations, so I can't imagine how tiny the RID version would be. RID Arcee's got nothing on her.

Just got a better look at TF Prime RID Arcee. It's a head shorter than the FE, and looks much too simplistic now that I've got a better look of the fig. That thing is hideous with all the kibble on its back--damn wheel was hanging almost an inch away from its back. And those wings.... It's either the FE version or nothing. NOTE: tried to link a pic of the fig, but couldn't for some reason. Here's the link, if you're curious.

Well, lucky me. I'd just decided to go buy Uncharted 3 this weekend, when I stumbled on this post. As a strictly solo offline player, if the replay value sucks, I'm not buying it.

Less toilet humor in TF4 would be great--better still, none. I'd expect there's still be far more humans than bots, but at least give us better quality actors; that Ken Jeong guy and Simmons [to a lesser degree] overacted to the point of looking like morons. For me, it's the idiotic humans and crass humor in all three movies that NEARLY spoiled it for me. Now don't get me wrong; I like South Park and The Simpsons as much as the next guy, just not in my TF movies. Well, at least there weren't any robo-pee or robo-farts in DOTM; here's hoping TF4 omits them, too.- 950 replies

While we're on the topic of Figma, there's more BRS coming our way. A recent 4-disc set was announced, most likely an 8 episode set of the sequel/continuation of the original BRS animation. Includes a bonus CD and a special BRS fig called Insane BRS. The price is 29,400 yen for Blu-ray, and 25,200 for DVD. Here's a pic of said fig: Also coming up in Wonderfest 2012 Winter: Yup, Black Rock Shooters up the wazoo. Other highlights include a prototype of the BRS bike, T-elos [Xenosaga III], as well as an interesting looking fig I can't identify, called "Silver Crow." And here's one for Fate/Zero fans: Plenty more pics to be found at moeyo.com, FYI.

It's at times like these that I feel like a dog staring into the window of a butcher shop. See, there's this annoying thing where I'm at called the "toy safety ruling." About a year back, there were some complaints that imported toys [read: Chinese KO toys] had toxic compounds in them, and the government decreed that all imported toys for ages below 15 are to be subject to testing at the local lab before being allowed into the country. Even for toys meant for private ownership, you'd have to do some paperwork. I've stopped buying Hasbro Transformers online since then, and only get high-end figs that are obviously designed for grownups. I've even told HLJ and AmiAmi to specify on the invoice that the figures are NOT toys, and meant only for ages 15 and above. Even my favorite local hobby store has stopped bringing in TF's. Thankfully, there are still a good number of hobby stores elsewhere that bring in both Hasbro and Takara TF's. I've long since given up on the DOTM line. Unless they finally come up with leader class Megatron, I'm not interested.

At this point in time, it's probably next to impossible to find the fig in retail, and I'm not paying evilbay prices for him. She does look rather simplified, but the CG model has pretty clean lines as well, so it doesn't really bother me. As for Starscream, I'll pass on him. While I really love his thoroughly treacherous character in the show AND acknowledge that his rather sneaky and decrepit design fits him to a tee, I personally can't stand having him displayed on my shelf. Simply put, I just don't like his design. Good point. Seriously, I didn't really notice how bad the RID figs chest plates were; all my attention was on the clear plastic arms. I can still deal with faux chest plates if they actually looked like chest plates, but the lazy job on the leader class's chest looks lame. Blue paint? Really? As for the blue plastic, I think it's part of the manufacturing process where clear parts of a certain fig are all made in one mold, hence you only get one single color for all clear plastics. I think Bandai is the only complany to be able to use several different colors in a single tray right now, as seen in their Gunpla kits. Honestly, even if the chest panels WERE fake, I'd have considered buying the leader class fig if it was clear smoke-tinted plastic. She does? Never noticed that. Still buying it. WFC Optimus's gun is hollow on one side, as are WFC Soundwave's thighs. It's part of cost-cutting; can't do much about it. You could still cut out a piece of plastic from an ice-cream container and cover up the hollow thighs, as well as the triangular hollow parts on his lower legs. Finding the right purple paint might be a bit of a problem, though. But even without customizing, the hollow thighs on the fig don't bother me at all. Jazz and OP, on the other hand, look grievious. Looks like Jazz's top-heaviness isn't due to bad camera angling after all. And those scrawny legs.... It's a shame, because his alt mode looks nice.

@ anime52k8: The only thing I don't like about TF Animated Shockwave is his tank alt mode; IMO it looks like he's just lying flat on his face, like he got steam-rolled from behind. That said, it;s amazing how the designers could actually fit in his Longarm disguise into the same fig. I've been aching to get a fig of him, but the local TRU sucks. As for TF Prime, Soundwave is the only one I'll be picking up. Knockout looks "scout-ishly" simplified, and Starscream looks meh. Ironically, Arcee looks more screen-accurate than the FE version. Now if only they'd do something about that "wing kibble" on her back. Or is it just a case of mistransformation? Why couldn't they give leader Prime NON-FAUX clear chest panels? They've been able to do so even for voyager class movieverse Optimus despite his convoluted movie transformation, so there's really no reason they do it for a leader class TF Prime figure.

Actually, the FOC toys look pretty much like their CG models, especially Optimus. He looks boxier than ever, apparently because the game designers wanted to make him look like a "fist with wheels." Shockwave IMO is the best of the bunch. As for Jazz, I seriously hope it's just the angle of the camera that makes him to top-heavy. BTW, I noticed on one of the pics that the back part of Shockwave's gun-arm is broken. Is that why they decided to make him hold in in his hand? Or can he even mount the thing on his arm in the first place?

Yeah, good point about the disc potentially getting stuck in the event of a RLOD. But since I rarely play for more than two and a half hours at a time in an air-conditioned environment, I'm not all that worried about RLOD just yet. Actually, I'm more worried about the wear and tear on the slot mechanism than anything else. Still, I'll try vacuuming the mouth of the slot and see if it gets rid of the noises. Glad I decided not to buy this one. I mean, only one character in story mode?! At least Tekken 6 gave you the arena and separate endings for the other characters.

I am way jealous of you guys and your Mospeada collections. Started fig collecting too late to pick up those gorgeous ride armors. Now if Yamato were to release some ride armors, I'd sell my pet dog to a Vietnamese hot pot restaurant to buy one [just kidding...sort of ]

Thanks for the advice, Archer and David! I guess I'll be leaving the discs inside the PS3 from now on, then. Probably should have done the same for my first gen PS2; poor thing's disc tray is busted from over ten years of opening and closing after each gaming session, and I haven't got the spare funds to fix it. Chalk it up to all those stupid rumors I heard about discs getting warped if left inside a game console.

Not sure if that's a very fair comparison, since it looks like the one on the right [Energon Bruticus? Sorry, don't know my Bruticii too well] has some FP upgrades to him. I was just being nitpicky for the heck of it. But in the case of the WFC/FOC universe at least, the Seekers seem to be thrust-maneuvered aircraft and don't need an atmosphere, hence the small stubby wings. While it doesn't explain the large wings on the Aerialbots, at least I can imagine jets in a non-atmospheric environment. Helicopters, on the other hand.... That said, once I get my hands on that game and the figs, I wouldn't give a rat's ass about these technicalities. What perplexes me is that the bot mode's torso is inexplicably pinkish red, but you don't see those colors in the alt mode. I wonder why they even bothered making the torso a different color. And what's with the toy painted up in ALL red without the brown/bronze? Either way, I really like the helicopter mode design; the head portion reminds me of a mechanical mosquito due to the guns on the nose. Just a little worried about potential kibble that makes up the tail, as the bot mode doesn't show any parts that might make up the tail part.

This probably sounds like a stupid question, but is it okay to leave a game disc inside the PS3 after switching it off? I'm asking because the mechanism for slotting in the discs is showing signs of wear and tear. Whenever I slide in a disc, it makes a slightly different sound than it usually does, and one time when I put a disc in, it didn't even register it [blue light didn't come on] and I had to eject it and put it in again. So in order not to cause any more wear and tear, I thought I should just leave the disc in the console and only remove it when I change games. Would that be okay? BTW, I always eject the disc after playing, which is two or three sessions a day. I also keep the PS3 in the vertical position.

I was thinking of buying Uncharted 3, but since I haven't played 1 and 2, I'm worried if I'd be missing a lot of the story. So, is it okay to just get 3, of must I have played 1 and 2 to understand what's going on? It's almost impossible to find Uncharted 1 and 3 at my place, BTW.

Seems like it WAS mistransformed after all. Just found a pic of Blast-off correctly transformed.

The only parts I don't like are the arms. Kind of expected the static fists, but Blast-off as an arm looks way too long and disporportionate. BTW, not sure I like Vortex as a reddish Cybertronian helicopter--in any case, choppers can't function in space. Of course, I'm just guessing it's a helicopter judging by the rotors. @ David Hingten: I think that weapon is a combination of all the sidearms of the Combaticons--you can see Onslaught's twin-barrel cannon as the center/main component of the gun. And yeah, it does look like there's a real left arm that's just obscured by the weapon. EDIT: Also got beat on the hand spotting. Definitely smaller than past deluxes, but not so small that it puts me off buying TF's completely. They better not shrink the figs any more, though. BTW, I'm tempted to get TFP Wheeljack after seeing these pics of him, but the little bastard is so hard to track down. Good thing I already have his Generations fig.

More good news on the FoC front. Pics of Onslaught have just surfaced, and while the alt mode looks kind of "compromised" for the combiner feature, he looks good enough.
