    That's just great. I've always preferred the designs starting the later MP designs, namely Soundwave, Lambor and Prowl, and now the guy who designed them is being replaced by the one who designed the older MP's? At TFW2005, I notice there were some who are debating on whether it was Hasui or Kobayashi who actually designed MP-10.

    Nice pics! Sorry to hear about the yellowing. What happened? Heat, sunlight, UV light from fluorescent tubes or energy-saving bulbs, or cigarette smoke?

    Well, given that the Japanese government willfully rewrote history in their textbooks, I guess it's inevitable that their citizens would be ignorant of what happened during that period. And I'll leave it at that.

    Hopefully without any markups or defects. One of the reasons I stay away from evilbay is all the back-and-forth's with the seller if the item is defective.

    It's sturdy enough in all three modes, but the VF-0S's fighter mode is probably the best looking mode of all.

    I'm a bit of a mecha geek, so I tend to spend a lot of time poring over mechanical concept art. I just stumbled upon the book, myself!

    I wish they'd bothered to paint the inside of the cockpit in gray or something. The naked blue plastic sort of breaks the realistic look of the heavily-weathered exterior. I mean, for 300 USD, it's only fair that the paid attention to the small details. Nothing major, though.

    The reissued version I got is vastly improved as far as joints are concerned, although the two halves of the foot thrusters still leave a small gap when closed together. I hated the OVA as well, but the VF-0S happens to be my favorite Valk design.

    It's a collaboration between ThreeZero and Kunio Odawara to create an original mecha. While it does take a few designs cues from Gundam, it's a completely original design, with a heavy samurai feel to it. It may or may not have its own fiction, but as far as I know, it's not affiliated with any known anime/manga/game. Something along the lines of Abakan 2288, except the latter is just artwork.

    Sadly, after a bit of number crunching, that impulse pre-order of the Kotobukiya Ray kit and a few other things ate too much into my budget, and I'll have to let this one go. Hopefully, Bandai might decide to do a reissue in the future, as unlikely as it is.

    Nice pics. Too bad I can't read a word of Chinese. Having the Ghost pictured with actual people really give you an idea of just how big it is. Love the concept art, too. I really hope they'll include a booklet or something with some artwork. I'm still wondering why they decided to give the pilot simian facial features. With those highlights across his eyes, he looks almost like Sun Wukong aka Son Goku.

    It literally translates as "period drama." Basically any movie that's set in olden times. Trivia: IIRC, the word "Jedi" was derived from Jidai by George Lucas, who patterned the Jedi after the samurai.

    I just only realized that that Shield Liger's a ThreeZero product, and not a Kotobukiya kit. That explains the killer weathering. From Metal Gears to TWD zombies to Gundam, and now Zoids; is there anything these guys aren't making these days?

    I can't thank you enough! If it's cheap enough without the added taxes, I might just be able to fit this into my budget. That Fullmetal Ghost has really taken a toll on my funds, and it's supposed to see a release in April next year! Not to mention that I just bought a home theater system. One last favor: can you post a link? I googled "NY YF-29" and got nothing but reviews for the YF-29 and tourism stuff about New York.

    Thanks, Falcon18! One question, though. Is NY American-based? I might get slaughtered on import taxes and shipping, having it shipped from across the globe.

    As far as I know, the one with the fixes is not bundled with the Ghost. Yamato also released the fixed version in the same box as the original one, making it very hard to tell. Not sure about Arcadia, though.

    After looking at some of the in-hand pics, I'm seriously regretting not buying one when I had the chance. The battroid mode's kinda meh, but the GERWALK and fighter modes are gorgeous. Long since sold out at HLJ, and I don't like AmiAmi's no-returns policy. Then again, I'm not even sure if I can afford one after pre-ordering so many high-end stuff recently. EDIT: My bad; HLJ doesn't even carry it.

    That's great news. Hopefully it'll stretch out well into 2015.
