What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
GU-11 replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Good gosh, what is it with manga artists these days and sloppy artwork? I guess I'd better look out for the remake version then. Being better than Macross 7 isn't saying much, but I'll give it a change either way. All I watched of M7 was the youtube clips and it was enough to put me off. Milia's little election campaign ad was...(sighs)...what have they done to you, Milia? -

Well I am now. TBH, I've never heard of the name before, but a quick wiki of the anime caught my interest. I'll make do with the manga for now; at least it's easier on the eyes than the Attack on Titan manga. As for Symphogear, if it's no worse than Guilty Crown, it's going on my to-watch list. I actually kinda enjoyed Guilty Crown, despite the mixed reviews. -

Is there any news of a 3rd season for Attack on Titan? I'd read the manga, but I can't stand the crap artwork. -
Kinda reminds me of the Green Goblin's glider.

G1 Mirage was my first ever TF. I was promised Optimus Prime for my birthday, until my dad saw the price tag.- 16945 replies

Just my opinion, but just like James Hong will always be remembered as Lo Pan, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa will always remind me of Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat. It was the first time I saw him acting in a movie, so the image kind of sticks.

All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!
GU-11 replied to Keith's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've had it up to here with glitchy games, to be honest. Fall of Cybertron's off-and-on freezing drove me up the wall. As much as I hate to say it, if user reviews bring up any complains about glitches and freezing in Battlefront, I'll have to pass.- 6831 replies

...which is the same point I'm trying to make--that the guy's d-bag who likes doing random sh!t for the giggles because he thinks he's above directing a "silly toy movie." While I sort of know where he's coming from, that's a very unprofessional work ethic.

Since I'm not much of a FPS gamer and don't have the game, I'm not about to find out for myself. So, is that a good thing? The fact that Battlefront should play like BF4, I mean.- 6831 replies

Wow. I see your point now. Because Michael Bay. Yes, the guy who, in the first TF movie, wasted almost a whole day filming a 5-second scene where the Camaro goes on 2 wheels along a tunnel...on a whim.

Crom...I've never prayed to you before. I'm Catholic. But good reviews pleases you, Crom. Please make this sequel as great as the original movie. And if you do not listen...then to hell with you!

Can't argue with your points. ROTF did give us a perfect or near perfect leader class movie Prime, and that's almost enough to make up for the movie's very existence. AOE, on the other hand...first ever toyline where I didn't pick up a single TF--except High Octane BB, but I'm kind of regretting it already. BTW, Chinese propaganda? Didn't really notice it, honestly.

You and me both, but the sh!tpool that is ROTF is so deep that any TF movie after it seems like a shallow puddle.

Unfortunately, that could go either way. They could focus on Optimus hunting for the creaters or whatever, or they could put that in the background and focus on Marky Mark and Shia, with Bumblebee-otch returning to his former role as a human house-pet.

I hear that Rebecca Chambers is pretty popular among Japanese RE fans. I also hear that the game's utter crap.- 6831 replies

That is an absolute work of art!

Looking forward to seeing your progress on this project, Xigfrid! Truth be told, I've been tinkering around with a project for a "personal-collection" 1/60 X-9 Ghost to go with my Yammie YF-19 and YF-21, using ZBrush and Sketchup. It's not quite as elaborate as yours, though. Just the drone itself and a detachable attachment for a Yamato mighty block stand. May or not have retractable landing gears. I know what you mean about the lineart. I've been wracking my head over the missile bay as well as some of the contours.
-
Nice! I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished results.
-
You have my respect, friend! Sketchup doesn't usually play nice with curves and organic shapes. I'm guessing you used curviloft for the curved shapes. Either way, it's beautifully done. Will this be a model kit or a single solid piece?
-
disclaimer: not a comic reader. I'm not surprised at all. The easiest route to take is to just give her the usual Harley Quinn trappings with a more "practical" feel to it. Lazy, but not surprising. Question is, what does she actually contribute to the group? She's basically the Joker's woman/toy/pet/hang-around, with no special training or abilities whatsoever. And without the Joker in that earlier pic, she just looks lost.

@Xigrid: Very nice! If I may ask, what software is that? Looks like Sketchup, but I can't be sure.

Absolutely gorgeous! BTW, What toyline did that VF-22S Gamlin come from?
