  1. After doing some more digging and finding the source of the chart which is this page http://www.macross2.net/m3/macrosstechman/tech-zentradiheight.html What's the specific source for this?
  2. Is there a solid primary source for Miria's height? There's 885cm in a wiki, 8.55m in a zentradi height chart floating online, and Macross Chronicle 05 has a vague height chart that look to put her closer to 7.5m. Which of these has the most to back it up?
  3. New kit is another VF-11D recolor On the bright side the Macross Zero Tomcat and Mig-29 are coming back!
  4. amazon.ca has always been a horrible disappointment and only a fraction as useful as either .com or .co.jp If you're in Canada definitely check your local dollar stores for this stuff instead.

  6. Don't know about the others, but Hikaru figure came with FIVE whole pairs of eyes and eyebrows. They do seem to expect people to need the extras.
  7. It's definitely a cultural thing. Most people in the west first experienced DYRL the same was as the TV series - on a tiny screen horribly ruined by analog video. Meanwhile in Japan with the theatrical release it was more like an event. A lot of anime movies were like that even back then with people lining up around corners, premiers with staff and cast present, etc. There's lots of photos from the premiers of the original Gundam Trilogy, Ideon movies, Farewell Yamato, etc with just crowds and crowds of people showing up to theaters after the TV shows built the hype. These were cultural milestones for the people that cared about these franchises, with quite a few of these people now making the decisions of what merch gets made today.
  8. From the Aoshima page - 価格:9,800円(税別) Without tax. HLJ still lists with prices without tax since that only applies to Japanese residents Other sites like Hobby Search and AmiAmi unfortunately started listing taxed prices on their english sites, presumable to make their discounts seem bigger >_>
  9. November release, 9,800 yen MSRP http://www.aoshima-bk.co.jp/special/acks/vfg25g/

  16. If you want to use solvents in your ultrasonic cleaner just put them in a separate container and put the container into the water in the ultrasonic cleaner. The water will conduct the magic voodoo waves into the container. I use a small PE/PP bottle full of lacquer thinner to deep clean my airbrushes, works great and uses far less solvent at a time than filling the ultrasonic cleaner itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUCl9NQymBI
  17. Looking at it as it is now, the arms are straight form the Gerwalk, Super parts are all the same, and legs are maybe straight from the fighter? The big issue is that a completely new torso is absolutely needed but it seems they did think about this long ago and those parts are all isolated to the B runner. If they do decide to keep the existing legs that might be unsatisfactory to some people. If they decide on all new legs that might make it financially not viable to pursue. Oh well I guess we'll see what the future holds eventually. At the end of the day any Super/Strike kit is still gonna be ~36,000yen and that's ouch... Honestly I'd still they rather do VF-1D. We know for sure that's only swapping out the body and cockpit parts with no other issue.
  18. It seems like it's new tweet from Max, specifically mentioning if a Battroid kit is possible with minimal mold changes. Not really a promise or announcement but still interesting. Maybe he's putting this out twitter because Shizuoka Hobby Show got cancelled.
  19. The builder for that is KOMATU on twitter, you have to scroll through his photos back to last September for the masking fun:
  20. Wow, it's actually Klan Klan!
