Is there anywhere still selling super parts for the renewal 25A other than Ebay? I finally got myself locked in on my first VF-25, now it's time to dress it up and make it da bell of da ball.
-
I'd still like to get a VF-4, I never jumped on board at release and I never pre-ordered. The current price is steep, but it is what it is, that's how 90% of these high-end Macross releases end up. I may try to dump some of my random Hot Toys collections soon, a portion of that could end up being VF-4 money.

It's good to be back on MW, where people don't judge you for spending entirely too much money on toys.
-
So is the glaug dead at this point or what? I mean we've seen the prototypes, is the toynami vinyl line officially dead?
-
I really liked mine, but I sold them. I would have kept them if they would have continued the line, but after buying the exclusive skull squardon I felt kind of meh, Yamato is putting out some great stuff in 1/60 so I didn't really have a need for a small collection in 1/100.
-
Honestly I need a new 1/60 VF-1D V2.
-
I'm still thinking the release Graham isn't telling us about is perhaps Mylen's retooled and repainted sound force VF-11, or a possible jamming bird, we'll see.
-
I'm picturing the VF-11 ending up like the zero line, what's left out there is all there is, maybe since this is 2012 Yamato will put out some more stock but it's looking doubtful. I'd say grab any VF-11 while you can, my 11B got broken a few weeks back when I had some friends over, I promptly went in to search mode to find another, it is a pretty great mold articulation aside.

Graham any word on the D? I'm ready for a 17 but the S head is too herp-derp for me, if Yamato releases the next 17 the same way they released the two 19's then maybe we'll get an announcement in what, the next month and a half or so? -
Yea this is the newest ad most updated 1J I think you can buy, and it's called the more "accurate" version since it has the grey around the head monitor/visor thing. I honestly grabbed one a few months back when HLJ had them, I finally completed my vermilion squad thanks to this thing.

Yikes Mommar, you are in dangerous waters friend, I learned people on this site apparently take the 17 VERY seriously, how dare you make a minor complaint about a toy that everyone apparently has to love to death no matter what, all hail Yamato! -
As excited as I am for this, and as long as I've been hoping and praying for a VF-4, there is no way in hell I'm paying more for this then the cost of the VF-19, we'll see but I'm expecting rape-rate prices.

If it's a kit I'm out, I have always wanted a VF-4 but I'm not much of a kit builder, and I suck at painting, hopefully we'll get confirmation that this is a completed toy, or maybe a toy version and a kit version.

At this point I'd say get any of the new release VF-0's that you can, the line didn't do too well and wasn't the most popular so I'm really doubting they'll put out more. It's weird, the Mac-0 line caught a lot of flack, the toys were beautiful but they had the worst QC of any Macross toy Yamato has put out, and yet now they're some of the most expensive and most difficult figures to get a hold of. As far as an SV-51 goes, good luck, I don't think they did any re-releases on those, no update versions, it was just the luck of the draw with the Ivanov being the worst and the CF being the latest and most durable release.

Wow it's that important for you to "win" isn't it? You're taking so many of things out of context it's unbelievable. Just relax guy, you won, it's over, you're right and I have no idea what I'm talking about, you are truly superior, whatever your view is is correct. Can we move on or do you want to reply to another comment made nearly a day ago about a discussion you clearly didn't understand. -

Lol what are you talking about? Anyway, Graham has me excited for what the next VF could be, if I remember right I thought the poll we had a while back showed the VF-4 was near the top if not the top choice. -

Nice post, I'm actually not bothered by the gaps either way because I won't be getting a 17, I simply pointed out that the people that had complaints were justified. I'm glad you pointed the pics out, apparently many of us hadn't seen those pics and were still worried, it does indeed look MUCH better, now they know and can have suspicions laid to rest. I'm also glad to see you clearly didn't get your panties in a bunch and find another reason to attempt to publicly flame someone -

This, and after all the ankle issues with the 19 I'd just caution people to be more reserved or at least be weary when it comes to any new expensive Yamato products. I'm not saying this thing will be full of flaws, far from in fact, it could end up being one of Yamato's best releases, but I too am concerned, or at least curious as to why we haven't seen a finished product shot yet. Renato messed with it yes, but he also didn't completely transform it into Gerwalk or Battroid, I mean we've barely seen any perfectly transformed shots of even the prototype, this close to release we all saw how the finished 19 looked. -

I'm thinking after the 17 drops, the next things we will see will be the retooled and designed sound force VF-17 and VF-11, it just seems like the next obvious move. -

You never know, it seems like after the Kai they would have done the other sound force valks first, or at least Mylene's VF-11, but they instead did the 17. -

Maybe someone should talk to Yamato about getting their hands on a finished product instead of more prototypes so we won't have to deal with this anymore. The final version of the 19 was gorgeous but perhaps if someone got there hands on it early they could have warned Yamato about the ankles, a lot of people bit the bullet on that, I sold my 19 Kai and Sound Booster the day before yesterday because it could no longer stand in battroid mode. But, before anyone else bitches at me for not liking the same toy as them, is the D all but confirmed at this point? -

Simply put, because I can, why are you so bothered by me not liking it? This a forum, I can't say this any nicer but deal with it. That aside, literally the entire time I have been attempting to defend the people on the fence because I don't care either way. Remember the 19 prototype shots? People had complaints about then but it came and and BAM it was gorgeous, but guess what else happened, the ankles turned out be a huge problem for a lot of people. It's weird, the ankles were the only issue but we had no way of seeing that from pics, we just had to deal with it after pre-ordering and taking the plunge, now with the 17, we can see flaws and you think people should just pull the trigger and hope? All I'm saying is that I think it is safer for people to be weary and really decipher and inspect ANY shots we get before release. Yamato has been putting out some beautiful stuff, but then serious problems end up popping up that cause people to end up selling the figure they just bought for a fraction of the cost and they're left feeling cheated. Oh and ALL the people I've talked to hate MW because they have simple questions or restrictions or criticisms about something then BAM, they get torn down by some a-hole know-it-all, that or they dare to second guess Yamato in all its glory. -

All I'm saying is that it isn't out yet, so nobodies opinion is more credible or biased than anyone else's. I remember the prototypes of the new 19 not looking anywhere near as bad as these, the paint was off but not the mold, the mold on this is looking gappy and flawed. I personally don't like this thing anyway, but like I said others did and the new pics aren't helping. I don't think anyone is being negative for the sake of being negative, I don't know where you got that, obviously the design won't change and that's not what anyone is hoping for, people are just voicing opinions. Once again why are you all so bothered by people not liking the toy that you do, to each his own, what are we 12? Nobody expects anything on this to change, it's all just opinions, everyone on this site needs to relax, it's like it's a crime to really like a toy to much but to also dislike a toy in the slightest because then you're a hater without a reason, it's why a lot of the toy community hates MW. Hardly anyone got hands on with this thing, and that wasn't even a finished product, so who knows, this thing could be great, or it could a $300+ mistake, is it really that bad that people create criticisms off a figure based on the only way they can? I mean nobody will really know until it's out, why is it so absurd to make opinions and assumptions based on the only thing we have, pictures, these things are a big investment, how you handle your money is your business, I really don't think it's absurd to have restrictions and doubts about a toy that will end up costing a small fortune. -

I think at this point your opinion is pretty biased, it's fairly evident now you're excited for it, others were as well but the pics really aren't helping. I just think it's childish to say people shouldn't post in a thread about something they won't buy or are on the edge about buying, I mean this is a forum, that's what this place is for, I think people should stop being pissy about not liking the differing opinions some people have about toys they already obviously love. I mean if you love the toy isn't that enough for you? Does it really bother you that much that someone else doesn't like it? C'mon people these things are expensive, I think it is a good idea to have a few negative or differing opinions about these kinds of things, just because something is expensive it doesn't mean it's perfect.
