I was under the impression the original actors were voicing their characters in this series, and this was the "out" to having more adventures when they were actually kids. Gotta say, I'm less interested now, that seems like a missed opportunity and I don't know why Netflix didn't spend the money to get the actual actors to return, it's voice work, they could record it anywhere.

Another Roy? I get it, it's Roy, and some people missed out, but once again, every time I see this get bumped I get excited thinking Bandai is going to finish the squad and announce my damn Kaki TV 1A, then nope, disappointment all over again.

We're nearing the half way point of the comic, finally getting to the real meat! I'm excited to see evil, buff space Freddie Mercury, and Dinosaurus, one of the best characters in the comic.

"He-Man and Masters of the Universe" Film by Sony
Tking22 replied to Mazinger's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I think it looks really fun, I grew up with He-Man but never watched it, this looks fine to me, everyone looks on point, I'll probably check it out with some buddies one weekend while it's out. Skeletor looks really good, that's pretty funny, very accurate. -
Star Wars Maul - Shadow Lord, 2026 on D+

Yeah that's the armor from Bad Batch the Empire started using on the clone trained normal human troops. I like Filoni, and his characters, only thing I thought was a bit mediocre was the Ashoka series, other than that I enjoy pretty much all his work. I'll definitely be watching this one, love me some Maul, and I still enjoy seeing stories and characters in this era, I'm absolutely in.- 29 replies

This newest episode gave game fans what was teased last season, the Deathclaws, and they look absolutely glorious. Seriously, I love how these things were brought to life, CG of course, but also some really impressive practical effects as well. The blend of CG and practical effects being used to bring this world to life is fantastic, absolutely the right way to go, especially the power armor, and seeing a T-45 brings me right back to Fallout 3, that armor was crap but looked great. Loving this season so far, it's more Fallout then season 1, thou shalt get distracted constantly indeed, it's just like playing the game, I'm loving it. Doesn't hurt that New Vegas was peak Fallout, well above 3, 4 and 76 of course, easily up there with 1 and 2, best Fallout game made IMO. I'm also loving that, so far, there's still no definitive answer to what ending is canon for Fallout New Vegas. The show has been really, really good about tip toeing around giving us definitive answers to what happened to House, The Strip, and of course the player character The Courier.

Street Fighter - in theaters October 16th, 2026

Taking it seriously made it far my goofy IMO, it's still the same absurdity, but they tried to make it edgy, realistic and cool in the same setting with the same characters, it made me laugh as much as the Van Damme film. I will never not laugh at Ryu staring down a giant villain then they start shooting off fire and lightning, you just can't escape the stupidity and over the top nature of the source. It's cool, and a fun movie, but goofy as hell. Attempting to adapt the source material seriously won't just make audiences take the absurdity of this franchise more seriously, it's just another avenue that leads to the franchise being goofy and over the top, trying to take it seriously is cringe. I think that the only decent balance was the YouTube Legacy and Assassin's First series, even then, it still fell into the trappings of trying to take an absurd series seriously. It looked real, they took the source more seriously and attempted to ground the characters, setting and fighting, but it was still dudes fighting and shooting multi colored fire balls at each other. Better to just lean into the chaos.- 55 replies

It was a good movie but it was still dumb, goofy, over the top and the story and characters still can't be taken seriously. There's just no avoiding that when adapting Street Fighter, it's still a dude in a white ghi shooting fire balls at either a seven foot muy Thai fighter, an Uber Nazi looking super villain dictator, or any one of the various full on over the top monster final bosses.- 55 replies

Those third party sellers are absurd, who knows, it's not the least or most shady thing I've seen from an Amazon third party seller, it's like the wild West sometimes. I see no benefit so who knows what they're getting from it, I see no end game, just a really odd listing This listing was a bit different though, it's for a product not even officially announced by Hiya themselves, a third party seller took it upon themselves to make a listing for something that hasn't been pushed back, just not actually announced as in production and there hasn't even been a prototype shown.
-
As far as I can tell that's a listing for a product that isn't even announced, I can't find a single other source for even an announcement of a Hiya Male MUTO so I don't think that listing is anything genuine. As far as I was able to look up Hiya hasn't even shown off a prototype.
-
I'm in for Tiamat and all the other B and C rank kaiju from the Monster verse. I'm glad someone is taking a crack at them, just wish Hiya would've done a male MUTO to go with the female.

I'm guessing they're saving him for a potential sequel villain, then clone Bison for part 3 if they get there. Street Fighter is weird lol. My only worry about the film so far is there's a really big cast, maybe too big, I'm guessing a few characters will just be fight scenes, no way they can focus and put actual character time into a cast this big.- 55 replies

Definitely excited for more House of the Dragon, Lanterns, and Dunk and Egg! Finally adapted after years of just being talked about, and it looks pretty good.

Yeah I think Drinker reviewed Superman, not Supergirl, which obviously isn't out yet, he may have done an opinion video on the trailer. I think it looks just fine, I liked Superman overall, I'll definitely be checking it out. Momoa finally playing the DC character he was always meant to is a huge bonus for me, I've loved Lobo for years, dude is insane, THE MAIN MAN!
