I am sort-of a completionst, but I don't keep duplicates. To me, the lower two CDs are identical, unless someone can tell me why. I know the cover's different, but freedb identifies them as the same. My question should be, what other CDs should I get to get most of (or all of, if it's not too difficult or costly) of Macross's songs/BGMs? I think I got most of the songs covered, so I'm left the BGMs and opening/closing theme? I'm only interested in Macross/DYRL/2012, not Macross 2 and 7. I know about Macross The Complete, but I want to get the individual CDs if possible. Oh no, they still do. They are the very first SM discs I bought, 9 years ago. It's only recently that I decided to get the originals.

Erm, the same songs, but in different order? Seriously, there are only so many Macross songs to go around. I think I can do without the Macross 2 or 7 songs... Yes, it's terribly confusing. That's why I ended up with so many CDs with same songs!

Two questions. 1. I bought the lower two CDs without realizing that they have the exact same contents. I intend to sell one. Which should I sell? And above all, why does Victor come out with two identical CDs with different covers? 2. I have these four Macross CDs, along with Macross The Complete (but SM bootleg). Are there other Macross CD/LPs I should get?

I find it strange the reaction is so negative, even on MacrossWorld. It's a good thing they decided to release just 3.

Why on Earth can't they have one head for one body?

Please quote properly. "QUOTE", not "QOUTE". This will make your quoting work properly. -
How much is the Minmay figure in HK?

Macross the complete 3 cds set
nhyone replied to Iron Man aka Tony Stark's topic in Movies and TV Series
I'll say it's not important whether the first print/limited edition looks much better or has better contents. They still play the same music, right? I've also never seen it before. Actually, I've never even heard of it until now! Maybe it'll turn up eventually on Yahoo Japan. -
You can spot the answer from a mile back. The questions are vaguely obvious to any Transformers fan -- most of the leaders have certain characteristics or catch-phrase. And if you are not a fan, most likely you won't take the test.

All right, let's settle this once and for all...

The children of the 80s never grew up; they did grow old.. -
No, this would mean that humans are still slaves. The ending is supposed to be peaceful co-existence. I think Smith able to take over a human is meant to show that AI has advanced so much that it's now indistinguishable from humans as we know it. Thus, in future, AI and humans will live together on equal terms. Yes, Neo's connections to the sentinels still require a supernatural explanation. But that's why he is the one.

I agree. Legs are extremely out of proportion compared to the arms. But her face is spot on -- the closest to the anime I've seen so far!

I think the anime writers wanted to hint that the Inbits were restoring the Earth to its pre-pollution days. This wasn't brought up again, however. I don't like the atmosphere explanation. A sizable number of transports managed to land -- and got wasted on ground. (The base that Stig was looking forward to reach.)

Doesn't look like she's going to work that day. (Nice, but doesn't really look like Misa.)

If you want the cheapest, you should ask how much they cost in HK.

Caught a burglar red-handed in my house!
nhyone replied to Majestic's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Burglars make my blood boil. My house was broken in for the first time in twenty over years. I guess that made us complacent, because we never secured all the locks. In any case, the burglar(s) went after the door (the weak point), rather than the locks. I lost at least five years of red packets and most of my cash. Blame it on my laziness to bank them in. The sum was significant enough (to me), but the physicological impact was far greater. For example, $2k may not sound much, but if you consider that it's over ten years of saving (during student days), it's a lot. It's best to get a third party to help you see the flaws in your home security, and never use analog cordless phone! (I believe this was how they knew we were away -- for the next 1-1/2 hours. The whole house was turned upside down in that time.) -
how many of you buy doubles of your toys?
nhyone replied to GobotFool's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I rarely buy duplicate of new stuff, but did so recently -- when my heart was faster than my brain. The rationale I came up with was to display one at home and the other in office. But now I decided that rotating the sets is a much cheaper option! Stuff I have extras of (but shouldn't): Evangelion gashapon set 2, Evangelion seaside figure collection, CMs Macross figures set 1 n 2, Gao Gai Gar wedding figure, some anime-related books, and tons of Macross/FF trading cards. I will most likely get duplicate HCM Pro figures to create diorama. I'm still wondering how many Zaku IIs to get. What really kills is not duplication per-se, but (i) getting some subsitute because you can't find the toy/figure you want, and then later finding it (so now you have two, the first which you don't really want but can't bear to sell it ); (ii) overpaying for some toy/figure because you can't find it anywhere else, and then finding it wasn't as hard-to-find as you thought. -
Is this only for DYRL sung by Mari Ijima? I got a cantonese version, emailed to me by mistake (I think) from one of the board members. Not as good as the original, tempo's slightly slower, but kind of nice; low bitrate, though.

Remove Roy's front hairpiece. His flock of hair should be beneath it. They made it such that it is always there, whether wearing helmet or not.

Rare for the sake of being Rare (Rant)
nhyone replied to Ghadrack's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Surely no one believes that the prices will stay the same, due to the extreme mismatch in supply-n-demand. I would say the item is undervalued initially for their exclusiveness. (I agree that the items don't appeal to everyone, but demand should be higher than supply, or they would have limited the supply even more.) Yamato will lose a lot of goodwill if they reissue it. But why focus on the low-vis? They can always come out with another limited non-canon color scheme. People will lap it up, thinking it will be another low-vis, and the prices of low-vis will go down, because now the number of limited VFs is doubled. -

You want another easy target? The recent Hikaru and Minmay limited CMs figures. -
One question on Minovsky particles: does it have to be "deployed' actively? How long does it last? Was there any case where battles are fought without the particles? If there's no Minovsky particles, is Mobile Suit still practical?

Thanks for da pics Solscud! I always knew Misa had da perfect hips....nice and thick. What about the waist? 22.4"? That's way too thin.

I don't mind, but just not another DYRL stage dress one. Is the auction for a prototype figure? If it is really limited to 500 pieces, I won't mind if I don't manage to lay my hands on it. DYRL stage dress overload.

DYRL is not the only movie that overloads you so much at the start that you can't catch them all. Sometimes you just have to watch it again, or have someone babysit you. (Not you, but your friends) On babysitting, I think you should answer only the questions that weren't answered in the movie later on. Personally, I think Hikaru explained the situation pretty well when he and Minmay were trapped in the cargo hold. Before that, just enjoy the visuals!
