I had waited and waited and finally got the eta for like $160 before shipping few months ago and now it’s sold out everywhere. I’m glad I got it and love love love how it looks. Too bad I don’t think the red or green will ever drop that low as I imagine the run will be much lower and faster to sell out.

Thanks for pointing this out! I didn't know either. Now I don't need to track down another pair, and no need to get myself the 31J Kai either.

VT-1 is still available on HLJ, I wonder if it means it's really not popular! This blows the chance of ever seeing the 1/60 reissued.....

this came 4 weeks ago, finally got to take him out last night. It's a gorgeous piece.......the ARMDs are for sure much harder to get on compared to the Yamato version. Haven't put on the screw covers yet. Hoping to free the VF-31A, regult pack, and Big O full package from their brown boxes soon. -

It's alright. The panels are basically on printed cardboard, which is sturdy. All of mine came flat, which was nice, as I've read review with warped panels. The panels don't stand by themselves so I have them propped against something else. They connect well side by side, but getting it to connect in perpendicular fashion is a little trickier. THe floor panels do not connect at all. I think the print and overall quality is good enough to do what i want, which is for the autobots to hang out and for me to take pictures, and with the occasional decepticons attacks. Too bad I don't have a place for it to sit on permanently, it's just too large. It's easy enough to setup though. -

I caved and got the extreme set deluxe control center. It’s huge! This gives me incentive to complete my season 1 bots. Now where did my Rachet go? -

Hey guys I was messing with my ET Legioss tonight and specifically looked into pegging in the two missile sets that goes underneath the intake. If I’m not mistaken, the end with the red tip typically face forward, but it doesn't peg in well at all in this orientation. However, I noticed that if I place the missiles with the red tips facing the tail end of the fighter (instead of red tip facing forward), the missiles peg in very securely. The pegs actually has different thickness at its base to keep the missiles level when pegged in this way. Upon closer inspection, each missile has two sections, one short and one long end. I believe the short end is supposed to be in the back. However, ET has the tip of the short end painted red and the long end left unpainted. I suspect this was a painting error. If the missiles are placed with the short end on the back, the tip of the long end lines up well with the chest/intake piece, and actually looks better this way. So it may be a simple fix of painting the tip of the long end red and stripping the paint off the short end tip. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

I think you should be very proud of your self control! -
Ya tentative preorder means amiami has requested an order of the product from the manufacturer but the order has not yet been confirmed. Once the order is confirmed, if you had made a tentative preorder, amiami will email you and let you know that they are able to confirm the order. At that point they'll also change the tentative preorder to preorder.

It's just Testor enamel I got from the local Michael's. At some point I'll spray matte coating over it to get rid of the shine. Note that i left the skin and hair unpainted.

I’m not a modeler either and very inexperienced in painting. However, I think you can pick and choose on these 1/20 kits. Simple design and paint schemes is achievable even for beginners like me. The China minmay is the first human figure I’ve put together and it’s at least presentable in my eyes and wasn’t all that much work because of how tiny it is. I might pick up Hikaru and Misa too. Minmay was a good practice kit.

And it's sold out

Mine just arrived from NY. Gotta love how I paid 8,700 yen on shipping when the shipping label clearly states 5,900 yen of postage fees. It's probably still much cheaper than HLJ and other places shipped so I'm not complaining.

Thanks! THat's the one I remember! Of course it went to Kicker's museum, what better place for it (other than it's creator MT's home). I don't pay enough attention to the Workshop thread as there are some seriously epic projects there, with this one being the king of them all. Now if only I could see that final video on that thread, it doesn't load for me with this error: "This video contains content from WMG, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

Care to share more about this? Does it have an open hatch and have an interior? I remember seeing something like this in the workshop thread but don’t remember if it got finished.

Sorry for the late reply. I finally had the chance to transform him tonight. I like it a lot!! It’s a much easier transformation than what I remember for the Beagle/Toynami. Everything was relatively smooth and intuitive. I suspect going back to Bike mode would be more difficult, but I enjoyed transforming to armor mode. Transformation wise I think the Sentinel was better than the Toynami so far. Yes the bits keep popping off but it’s a minor annoyance only. The Sentinel doesn’t feel fragile for me. I was a little concern plugging in the knee connection because it’s tight, but other than that I didn’t feel like breaking anything at any point of the transformation. I think the Toynami uses a lot more POM than the Sentinel though, since this one is painted everywhere. I do think the Toynami has a greater range of arm movement with the armor on, but it’s been awhile and I don’t remember for sure. The shoulder area on the Sentinel seems very very tight with all the things jammed in the vicinity. Overall I like this release very much. I’m not into a lot of posing and fiddling, so the limited articulation doesn’t bother me. It looks sooo good once put together in both modes. Overall, it’s up there with the Toynami for me, if not slightly ahead. This makes me want to transform my Toynami! Once Rei hits I might finally open up my Toynami Rei too.

I haven’t spent enough time with the Sentinel to give a through opinion. The stig figure while poseable does have many things popping off and the Toynami feels sturdier and more fun to handle in comparison (until the cloth start flaking anyways). The cloth seems ok so far on the Sentinel. Obviously no screw hole covering half the neck on the Sentinel. I actually prefer sentinel’s head sculpt in the helmet than Toynamis. I like that the Sentinel bike has a lot of tiny details and paint that makes it look less plain than the Toynami. The bike main body so far holds together well but the side canons are easy to pop off. I like that there are diecast in bars and brackets distributed in different areas so it has a little bit of weight to it. The back of the seat collapses easier than the Toynami one does. The wind shield stays in place well compared to the floppy Toynami windshield. The front body of the bike below the windshield holds together well unlike the Toynami. I like the Sentinel color scheme better. I haven’t noticed yellowing on my Toynami but haven’t looked too closely either I haven’t transformed the Toynami in years but remember it not being a pleasant experience. I expect Sentinel to be about the same. Hopefully tomorrow!
