    Took forever to checkout. I barely got home when the preorder went up, was expecting later tonight but guess I was wrong. Glad I don't have to spend all night hitting F5.

    i ordered a $470 item from anime king once and they shipped it with minimal packing, Shipping box fell apart during transit, and the item had dings and tears on the box and missing pieces. I returned the item promptly, and they refunded promptly, but they wouldn't refund my return shipping cost and not a word of apology despite the few messages I sent them. Never ordering from them again.

    I wonder if it's just a lot of scalpers out there buying all available quantities or just that the numbers are so limited that the few ppl who happened to be watching during those 15 minutes got them all....... I mean, 3AM in CA, 6AM in NY, pretty much none of us in US would be in front of the computer.

    picked it up from the post office....it's pretty awesome. The crotch joint is not as tight as the Alto one on mine, but this one seems easier to transform. paint job is okay, very minor bleed around the skull. For SAL small packet, i've been tracking my orders and based on a sample size of 16, delivery time is from 6 to 32 days with an average of 17 days. So this one is right in the middle.

    I find it ironic that it's been more difficult to secure one of these mass released items than the tamashii web exclusive stuff. I stalked 3-4 sites for weeks before I was able to get the pre-orders in for Alto and Ozma. I doubt I'll have the luck with YF-29, seeing how many scalpers are out there buying it purely for profit.

    everywhere i checked this toy is not available for pre-order.......is demand really that high or it's just that the vendors haven't figured out how many units they have yet and haven't started a full blown pre-order?

    Thanks guys again for your input! I'm leaning towards VF-17. My SOCs seem to stay together fine and hold its value pretty well. I guess over in the macross arena with Yamato it's not the same. Luckily, my Yamato Danguard Ace is fetching higher prices over time.

    Thanks for the wonderful input. I did read both reviews by Jenius and was impressed with both. Both seem to be great toys and that's what makes it hard to decide between the two. To sum up what I have read: VF-17 : more attractive design due to its distinctiveness from all other valk more shelf presence due to larger size more expensive VF-19: slightly better engineering potentially slightly better gimmick, small margin more bang for the buck Let me take this into another direction, which valk will hold its value better over time?

    Thanks for the input guys. I'm leaning towards the VF-17. LOL, my favorite part was the pilot comparison where 17 wins hands down.

    Ya I think I may just get one or another. I only have so much disposable income that has to be spent between super robots, macross, and transformers. The VF-17 and 19 are the only non DYRL/1982 TV series/Frontier valks that have my interest, as I'm not a Macross 7 fan. However, they are both different enough but yet good looking in its own way that warrants a purchase in my book. So far, one vote for each of them. More input is welcomed. I enjoy figuring out the transformation for the first time, and then after that it's about shelf presence. Which one is more imposing on the shelf? The 19S has the awesome blue while the 17 has size (and I love the matte graphite).

    on the fence, should I get this or the VF-19S? It'll be my first Macross 7 valk.

    I just paid for mine at Hobbysearch. It's my first time ordering from them. Does anybody have experience with hobbysearch and with their customer service?

    I think the 2nd release also has the updated hip connection, or v.2.1 per jenius's notation. So far so good. I'm not complaining!
