  1. How do I select who to lock on to using control scheme C? It seems to lock on to the nearest enemy unit, and the lock appears to drift after a couple seconds.
  2. the last two is "concentration" and "spirit, or soul (tamashii)". I can read only kanji.....but nothing else.
  3. Thanks for the info/tips guys. I feel better knowing its not just my unit. Yamato really has come a long way with no minor issues like these for the most part for newer molds. Now just hope Arcadia keeps it up! I don't think the canopy on mine stays open no matter what position though.
  4. Just got my first YF-21 and have a few questions for you guys. Is the cockpit door supposed to stay open like the VF-1 and newer valks? Mine doesn't, not at all. There is no resistance, friction at all that would keep the door open. Rear retracting wheels, they don't lock, and they are generally pretty loose. If I have fighter mode rolls backwards they pretty much retract automatically. The wings seem to be just holding up by friction in fighter mode, does this get loose over time resulting in droopy wings? I understand this is an older mold but have to say I'm a little disappointed with the above issues. I want to make sure that it's not us to me getting a defective unit. Havent even checked out the transformation yet.
  5. Few more reasons Yamato's prices (MSRP) are higher than Bandai: - Yamato offers to a much more niche market than Bandai's Frontier stuff. I'll bring out the old argument of large quantity = lower price. Bandai probably makes a lot more Frontier valks than Yamato, even though it doesn't feel that way. Fans for currently big hit movie vs. fans for a 30 year old anime is just night and day in comparison. You walk around Akihabara, you'll see a bunch of One Piece, some Naruto, a small presence of Macross Frontier stuff, and almost non-existing SDF or DYRL or M7 stuff. In fact I don't remember seeing any Yamato's offerings. - Yamato's releases are much riskier than Bandai, so they need a lot more safety. THey are also a small company that can't take a financial hit like Bandai can should a product fail to sell, so their risk management needs to be a lot more conservative. - last but not least, Yamato's engineering is superior. Bandai's MF valks look nice, but the transformation scheme and the fit just isn't as good as Yamato's valks. Most of my Yammies manage to stay tight and poseable through the years, while my renewal VF-25's are already loosening over time. Plus, I never know when I have my MF valks transformed properly, whereas it's pretty clear with Yamato's valks. There's a big difference there. While I wish Yamato's offering are a little cheaper, I understand where the high pricing come from. The fact that you can buy many of them at a discount down the road also helps!
  6. in my opinion the VF-19's are so awesome in every other department that the relatively minor issues you described don't even come close to resembling any sort of deal breaker. The first time i transformed it I was floored. Its design and engineering is one of the best I have seen, and I own most yamato and Bandai SOCs and frontier molds.
  7. cool thanks! I wonder how hard they are to assemble. Not bad for $400. Shipping isn't that horrible either. Great find! I wish I knew about them earlier before I bought my cabinet.
  8. I love my VF-17S, and even more now that I have the super pack!! I just got the Fire Valkyrie with sound booster, and the ace pilot trio of VF-17S, VF-19S, and VF-19 Kai looks awesome together. No pix though......no time. I hardly had enough time to transform my Fire Valkyrie and put the sound booster on before having to do something else......sigh.

    Macross figures

No wonder I got some serious seiya vibe from it. They really should make a toy line with decent pilots. Like they did with Alto EX gear, but just the pilot and his accessories.

What is that articulated Basara? I'd totally buy one.

    Macross 30

sorry, off topic, but instead of opening another thread for it, i'll just ask it here. Is the PSP Triangle Frontier getting a re-release as a "Best of PSP"? It looks from the CDJ link that one may be released in February. I can't tell for sure since no picture is available (I don't generally keep up with games but I'm interested in getting one for Macross fixes on the go). I ordered Macross 30 already. http://www.cdjapan.c...?KEY=ULJS-19072 I haven't touched my PSP for years, does any of you know if it'll work with the original PSP (launch model or whatever you call it)?
  12. Great! Do keep us updated on your progress if possible.
  13. Shinsei Industry VF-11C Thunderbolt APS-11 Protect Armor Pack http://www.macross2.net/m3/macross7/vf-11c-protectarmor.htm thank you.......someone needs to make one of these! i had one of those "moments" when it came on screen. You know what I mean...
  14. I was just watching M7 last night, the episode where they visit planet Lux (can't remember name exactly) and they were attacked and an awesome armored VF-11 went on a suicide mission to save the day. What is the name of that armored VF-11??

  16. thanks bluemax. For some reason I don't recognize SV-51 from that angle. It looks like it's a weathered version? I have yet to obtain any valks from Macross Zero. Some day......
  17. is that a custom?? looks nice!
  18. Nice pix TCracker! Mine was shipped around X'mas time from Nippon Yasan, doesn't look like it's pass custom yet.......may be another couple of weeks before I get mine..
  19. VF-4G, VF-17 fast pack, VF-171EX armor pack, and MP-14 Red Alert all coming not soon enough.....probably won't get it till next year. I do have VE-1 and the super/fast pack already here and still unopened. Maybe tonight, it's boxing day after all. gosh it's been an expensive month.
  20. yen is actually 85.485 yen per dollar as of this writing. Paypal dings us about 2 yen per dollar...... But in any case, if this thing had come out when 1 dollar only gets you 75 yen instead, it would have cost us 40 dollars more. I'm surely glad that USD value went up at the right time.
  21. I paid today and made order in USD.
  22. hm mine's price didn't drop and stayed at $72.46 + $16.16 shipping.
