sorry to bump an old thread but this noob needs help. I'm planning to buildup my fan racer, and am wondering which spray cans i should buy. Tamiya has polycarbonate (PS) and lacquer (TS) spray paint, which one of these would go better with enamel (i have a bunch of testor enamel paint that i will use for cockpit and fans and detailing/touchups)? I see from another thread ppl use white gloss and orange gloss tamiya spray paint, but can't seem to find these colors in gloss.

That's what I figured since all my other V2's have them, but it's my first weather edition VF-1 so I thought I'd ask before I go and complain to the seller just to make sure.

can any of you guys confirm whether VF-1A weathering max come with intake covers or not? I can't imagine they wouldn't but I got mine used and it didn't come with the covers.

good info. I assume that one has no subtitle either (same as bluray), so take that in mind before purchasing.

No tv CF with option parts. I got the DYRL version instead.

The VF-1A CF TV (older) version is now gone from both angolz and HKC. It was still there yesterday, and I was going to order today....... So I had to suck it up and pay the extra $40 for the option parts......

this is a hobby, and we all have work and life that gets into the way. I agree with above that I hate ordering DX valks because it's just so much hard work! I got in of the first release of VF-25F renewal no problem, got the VF-25S only because I was lucky, got the VF-171 Alto because AE happened to put it on pre-order during day time my time, and the YF-29 30th probably because it was less popular than Bandai thinks. Despite keeping an active eye out on here and all websites I know of, I had to get the 25G, the RVF, and the 171 CF all at marked up prices. The weird thing was that I was happy to pay those prices because that means I can go to bed peacefully........ Also agree with above that I don't like transforming the Bandai valks......the Yamato ones are just much more fun to do. To this date I haven't put my ozma armor in fighter or gerwalk mode, and the 171 Alto never left battroid mode once transformed...... 25G has never been transformed and YF-29 30th hasn't even been opened. I did also get the YF-29 Alto, and it was the biggest pain the butt to put the shoulders back correctly.....

Ya. I hope i get a break from AE since that isn't a common problem with the 19. Chronocidal, keep us updated with the upgrade parts you are thinking of doing.

Any suggestions of how one might go about fixing it? If need be? I'm leaving the YF-19 in battroid mode for the time being to avoid applying more stress to the piece. It's ready to fall off any moment.... When I placed the order I was all ready for the common problems (even ordered from Shapeways the bicep parts by VF255), but wasn't expecting this....... Any other input is welcomed. Does anybody have experience with AE ordering used items?

I just purchased and received a used YF-19 from AE. Upon first transformation i discovered a crack at the joint located in the bottom rear in batteroid mode and in the back of the cockpit in fighter mode. Has this been reported previously?? I'm hoping I can either return the item or receive a full refund. The crack is bad and the cracked piece appears to be falling off soon. I'm not sure how to repair it, if AE won't do anything.

to me it's more a question of how much space I have to effectively display my valks without the clutter. Batteroid mode is the most space efficient, followed by Gerwalk, and fighter mode takes up the most square footage. Having said that, in my display, I have battroids and fighters/gerwalk on stands in the back, gerwalks in the middle, and fighters in the front, kinda evenly distributed.

Thanks Chronocidals for your detailed tips!!! I found a guild with an enemy ship hovering above it last night but didn't bother to destroy it. I'll try that tonight and hopefully enter one of those races.

few questions: 1. how to toggle between targets when locking on using control scheme C?? 2. I keep hearing about races but haven't accidentally run into any. Where do you access races? I just finished Chapter 1, it could be that I haven't gotten far enough yet?? 3. Anyone try to use grenades yet? Is it just like using repair kit or is their another button to push to activate them once selected?
