Electric Indigo, I really love this shot. Your painting and weathering skills really bring the models to life. Did you build the kit out of box or did you make any modifications? I do not remember seeing the radome lightning diverter strips being included as new parts or molded on the kit.

Gathering Interest For 1/72 VF-4 Resin Model Kit
Model-Junkie replied to Valk009's topic in Model kits
I freaked out yesterday afternoon when I checked my tracking number and it said delivered to Jacksonville, FL. I live in MD. I looked at the tracking numbers and noticed I got Sidewinder's tracking info instead. When I got home my kit was waiting in my mail box for me. Thanks for releasing this kit again, Valk009 -
I'm 27 yrs old & built strictly in small scales (1/200, 1/144 and 1/72).... As a kid I loved the small scale stuff as it allowed me to build armies without taking up too much space. That has stuck with me as I grew up. There are many subjects only available in 1/72 scale and it is not necessarily a money issue, more of a lifestyle limitation that determines what scale people build. Asians and a lot of Europeans love 1/72 scale as most of their homes are small compared to say those in the U.S.

If I am not mistaken, that was an IA 63 Pampa. I'm not familiar with the RAF pulling any reckless stunts like that. -
Hasegawa 1/72 VF-11B with fast packs on the way!
Model-Junkie replied to Dobber's topic in Model kits
Great news, glad to see Hasegawa will be milking the VF-11 molds. Now if they can just re-release the VF-11D with actual squadron markings/super packs! -

I'll pick up another one if you re-release it. Are you willing to include 2 vacuum form canopies like last time? -
Sad to hear but thank you for all of the master pieces you had put out, your Cat's Eye is the jewel in my collection. Best wishes in your future endeavors

Forgive me Tenjin for a know not what i'm about to do
Model-Junkie replied to SpacePirateNeko's topic in Model kits
I also really need to bag my kits or store the same kits in one box as my stash takes up one entire room (and then some) in the house. The only thing that stops me is that the boxes make storing / stacking the kits easier and it takes too much time to go through all of my kits. I think my stash is currently 300+ kits, I really need to catalogue them! -
Jason, were you able to get any of the kits shipped out last week?

Looks like it is from the same re-caster that is also selling the atmospheric booster and launch vehicle

I fly with British Airways almost every year, I find their service good & consistent plus they are the only airline who flies direct from BWI to LHR. Though Heathrow is not my final destination when I fly to the UK, my connecting flight is with BA & the transfer is trouble free. I flew with Lufthansa for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was able to fly on my favorite airliner, the A340-600. The flight was torture though, 12 hour flight from Munich to Hong Kong was hell, especially when I had to do it again on the way back. I do not remember much of my flying experiences with Cathay Pacific or Air France. -
I already have several of the Hasegawa 1/72 VF-19A Ravens & YF-19 model kits but I'll pick up a few of the re-release for those extra missiles!

I haven't pre-ordered an item from SSM in 6 months+ but if they still do it this way, you are just added to the pre-order list & you will be sent an invoice once the kit becomes available again. They try to fulfill pre-orders before offering the kits for sale in their store so you are pretty much guaranteed a kit, you just got to complete the order within a certain time frame. Edit for spelling

where was that custom 1/72 VF-25 with twin gun pods from?
Model-Junkie replied to regult's topic in The Workshop!
I only know of the VF-25G that was built & painted to look like a U.S. Navy fighter, perhaps this is what you are looking for? -
I am one of the 1/72 guys but the cost and size would limit me to one. How about a 1/200 scale version? I also collect 1/200 airliners / military transports, which seems to be a popular scale, and should make it more affordable.

Wich resin seat could fit a 1/72 hasegawa VF-1 cockpit?
Model-Junkie replied to Cesar Enrique's topic in Model kits
I agree that the kit seat is fine & I will not be changing them out on my kits. As for fitting aftermarket seats, I tested the GRU-7 (A-6 & F-14), ACES II (F-15 & F-16) & SJU-5/A (F/A-18) ejection seats & the only ones that 'fitted' comfortably were the SJU-5/A seats. All of the seats were too tall & the bases will need sanding down considerably. Also, the GRU-7 seats were also too wide -
Wich resin seat could fit a 1/72 hasegawa VF-1 cockpit?
Model-Junkie replied to Cesar Enrique's topic in Model kits
If you can wait until Saturday I can pull out my VF-1A kit & try the resin seats I have. -
Sorry, I haven't had a chance to pull the VF-1D kits out to check what spares they have. However, I do know the tail mount plate is common to all the VF-1 fighter kits and the 1D did not come with a duplicate, I'll check the other parts when I get home this afternoon.
-
Kelsain, I have several Hasegawa VF-1Ds that came with spare parts for the regular VF-1s - upper fuselage piece & the piece that goes in the middle (pieces A8 & A17). Let me know if you are still wanting to convert to a regular VF-1

Need help identifying anime character
Model-Junkie replied to Model-Junkie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Thanks for the help folks -
Hey all, I need help identifying the female character in white/blue/pink outfit with the bow. Does anyone know who she is & what anime she is from? TIA

Nonetheless, because the gunpod is on its own sprue Hasegawa will most like not include it for the VF-11D. Now the VF-1D did include parts from the VF-1 single seater kits (ie: cockpit, nose section & chest piece/top fuselage piece) but only because the VF-1D re-used parts from the same sprue. Whilst odd, one excuse I can think of is because news crews will not be able to use helicopters in space?
-
The gun pod is on it's own sprue for the VF-11B kit so most likely the VF-11D will not come with one and it will be replaced with a sprue for the camera pod.
