The other thread is incorrect, they are actual water-slide decals. Hasegawa does not issue stickers or dry rub transfers with their kits.

There are 2 boxings of the clear kits. One boxing has the same box art as the standard kit with the addition of a gold foil sticker on the box top - these ALL include the bonus Model Graphix decals. The second boxing is in a plain white box with a colored sticker (matching the kit color) that does not include the bonus decals. Info is per this thread

Valk009's (Andy) kit was, according to him, "based on the rare Musasiya kit with modifications and updates." I cannot remember if he acquired the original molds / master but his released was not a straight recast or knockoff. Almost everyone commented the quality of Andy's kit and the improvements done. His first batch of kits also came with white metals parts but later switched to all resin for simplicity and ease in building.

Only just saw your post here after I responded to your PM. I bought the kit new from Valk009 in 2012 and it sat in my stash for 3 years. I never did an inventory of the parts as I did not expect anything to be missing, no parts are at my end as I never took them out of the box, only opened the box to ogle at the parts and clean castings and then placed away. I did offer options for a refund and am still willing to work with you.

Anyone out there with one of these kits in their stash have an issue with missing parts?? Apparently, a few parts are missing from my kit Just trying to see if I am unfortunate or if this happened to others.

Older aircraft such as the F-4 Phantom, A-4 Skyhawk and RA-5C had a nose up attitude on takeoff. Though to be fair, the RA-5C and A-4 had a constant nose up attitude. Edit to add photos

Imagine having a casket in the shape of the shuttle and being shot off into space for a burial! Yes, smaller is better I've always had a preference for small scale models as it meant being cheaper and easier to build armies or fleets.

Hasegawa announces a TV SDF-1 and a Super Messiah!
Model-Junkie replied to cool8or's topic in Model kits
Knowing Hasegawa, they may eventually release an SDF-1 with DYRL & TV parts as Limited Edition boxing -
None of the Cosmo Fleet Special ships feature any special features other than rotating turrets or extra mini ships so I do not expect this to transform. However, those should and arm joints do look very movable. Maybe they can move up or down and swing outwards?

Mattel released a Vac-U-Form machine and I actually acquired one a couple of years ago. Its a neat machine and has certainly held up well over the last few decades. There are even companies out there who make replacement parts for it. I used it as a starting step and moved onto custom made vacuum-form tables for larger pieces.

Aircraft Super Thread Mk.VII
Model-Junkie replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
UH-1Ns were retired from USMC service only a year ago but are still in service with the USAF, granted there are not many of them in service so I guess I am lucky to see them every day. -
Yep, sellers from Asia seems to be the only ones that really include 'gifts'. I've had strange snacks or even small cloths from Japan but never tried them as they do not appeal to me. I've had a few useful items such as nice pens or key chains from North American sellers. Now with regards to comments from the sellers it happens all of the time, especially if you are a repeat customer, and its not just limited to Asia. A lot of times sellers want to include a message in the buyer's native language expressing their appreciation and it just may not translate or spell out well. That said, if you are not sure of how to write the message do not include one. I ship an average of 30 items a month all over the world and I save my buyers and myself the embarrassment by not including any messages

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2
Model-Junkie replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Kenner / Hasbro were not just limited to the U.S. market, they were also available in the UK / Europe. I remember contacting Hasbro UK directly in the 90's to purchase my Star Wars figures when I was young I am becoming less and less enthusiastic about TFA toys and in part towards the movie. None of the 'western' merchandise is appealing to me and Disney's actions have soured any excitement I had. -
Only with the new Hasegawa Gerwalk kits

Good luck any purchase from E2046...... I've been tempted to order from them before but most of the products are recasts and are supposedly of low quality.
-
There is also the F-14 & Mig-29 from Macross Zero and VF-11D Thunder Focus from Macross the Ride

Hasbro introduced the super articulated figures in the SW AOTC toy line and it was not until ROTS where they released almost all of their figures with the super articulation. Its amazing how Hasbro has taken a great leap backwards taking away the articulation from their figures but I had always been curious how much more the articulation cost them. I stopped collecting Star Wars figures a couple of years ago and I was hoping to pick up some figures from the movie. I find the 5 point articulation disappointing too but I will probably just pick up a few of the imperial troopers that look ok in their static poses. Edit to add: someone on the rebelscum forums were able to purchase the figures already and posted some close up shots. Based on those photos, I think I'll pass on the figures for now and see if Hasbro ends up releasing better versions in the future.

Hasegawa announces a TV SDF-1 and a Super Messiah!
Model-Junkie replied to cool8or's topic in Model kits
Below is someone's observations from the SSM forums: For me, I am mostly getting this kit for the Daedalus and Prometheus parts -
Sebastian, Thanks for the extra clarification, I did not know the ones with a brush are a different type. Just wanted to post the following info from this website as it provides a bit more info about the 3 different types of polystyrene cement: 1. Polystyrene CementThis is a mixture made of the plastic dissolved in acetone, chlorobenzene, or trichloroethane, and is the most commonly used of adhesives in plastic modelling and the basis for most plastic modellers. There are three main types: Tube: most people's first introduction to polystyrene cement, this is a very thick solution and tends to be stringy. One danger with it is that it will continue to melt the plastic it is on for some time after application and if used too heavily it can distort small parts or the entire model. Semi liquid: still a mixture of solvent and plastic, but a lot thinner. The only supplier I know of is Revell and it comes in a bottle with hollow metal 'needle' for application. It is much easier to use than tube cement and had more 'body' than the true liquid cement. Liquid: this is really the solvent without any plastic dissolved in it. It has the great advantage that it will flow along a joint by capillary action. I discard the brush fitted to the jars from some manufacturers and use an old paintbrush to apply the liquid.

Sorry, I am unable to find the post from the StarshipModeler forum that mentioned someone placing an order earlier this year and was waiting a while to receive their order. I do not even know if the person received their order as the thread got purged after 30 days. Again, nothing against PetarB I am just advising people to reach out him before committing to a purchase. Here is a thread from last year where PetarB posted he wanted to update his site around xmas 2014 but I see no new updates since 2013.
-
WAIT! No disrespect to PetarB but people have had issues receiving their products and getting in touch with Petar. You may want to contact him before committing to a purchase

Paint application looks great. What scale is that Tallgeese III?

Making some of the lesser known vehicles from SDFM
Model-Junkie replied to SpacePirateNeko's topic in Model kits
Whilst some of the vehicles have been done, they are not currently available. Jason is busy / unreachable and some of his clients are still waiting over a year to receive their items. It may be worthwhile for SpacePirateNeko to redo some of the vehicles if they can be improved upon. Anywho, here is a link to my sales thread of Jason's ground vehicles which in turn link to his WIP threads. -
1/72 hasegawa vf-19 25th anniversary help needed
Model-Junkie replied to batcode's topic in Model kits
Its hard to compare colors on a computer screen but the metallic blue in the color chart I posted looks similar to their mica blue. The metallic also comes in the paint jars too. You can always test the colors on a scrap model or plastic to get a feel. The YF-19 and VF-1S models are readily available, its only the 25th anniversary decal that is somewhat harder to come by. None of the Hasegawa models have become collectors items though a few Macross Zero models were selling for higher prices a couple of years ago. If you're not satisfied with the paint before the decaling stage you could either strip the paint or obtain another YF-19 model to use the decals on.
