  1. Wow, epic indeed! I can't wait for mine to arrive now and Yamato also included 01 and 02 decals for the ARMDs!!
  2. I will keep you on top of my list I'll definitely be looking here for some advice when I start building this beast in a few weeks
  3. Oh poo... I'd better get some tweezers and a good pair of glasses now, thanks
  4. I just got the payment request from HLJ, as expected the shipping cost stings a bit more than on the prebuilt version but it's still a much saner deal... providing the build process doesn't push me on the edge of madness btw can someone confirm if there are also a few 1/3000 valks on lauch arms on the etching parts sheet?(I'm not sure if I'm not confusing this with stuff from the 1/2000 thread though) --edit : just read kyekye translation above, 1/3000 valks yay!!
  5. I was trying to take some pics of my hi-metal toys when this happened instead Edit : Thanks for watching and also for all the kind words everyone
  6. And it has intake covers too, like all other Yamato valks and this time the packaging is compacted as in the vf-11 which means reasonable shipping costs
  7. Fantastic news! I can't wait to see it in gerwalk mode, just like in the M7 opening. I wonder if a spring loaded ejecting gun would be possible too
  8. Great pics! I love the light you caught in the 25G's eye, probably my favorite head design of all the Macross series
  9. Love it! The color looks darker than I expected but it's a beauty and the poseability at the ankles seems greatly improved over the YF-19. I can see why people are being picky on the intakes and neck covers but without a doubt it's the ultimate firevalkyrie toy!
  10. Mighty block stands are my favorites, you can really make all the in-flight displays you want with them. The YF-21 will work fine, the connection plug is compatible with both mighty blocks and the hefty Yamato valkyrie display stand. SV-51 is the only valk I know of that isn't made to work with the mighty block, I don't know if Yamato's Monster connector is compatible. However I could plug the SV-51 on a mighty block by using a connector provided with Yamato's valk display stand. I had to mod it a bit and then it snaps on the SV-51's fighter stand connector. The only valk I had problems with rigging on the mighty block so far is the VF-0A equipped with the ghost booster.... that thing is so heavy that it has to be balanced carefully or it will topple on either side if bumped even moderately. Mine did, nothing broken though but finding and putting back the 2 million pieces back together can cause severe madness.
  11. I used MW's patented superglue coating method : a drop of superglue into the ball joint and then I moved the joint until the superglue dried. However maybe you should use nail polish because the superglue might damage the rubber inside the join. You can also try to replace the rubber joint with a flat piece of gummy eraser cut to a fitting shape.
  12. Max's TV VF-1A, with a gunpod
  13. My VT-1 came with broken shoulders in the box. I mailed HLJ 1 month ago and got a message 2 weeks after that saying they changed their parts department. No news since then, and with the current situation in Japan I don't blame them
  14. Tokyo-Fukushima = roughly 130 miles... so it's next door, really I'm definitely worried by this, 50% of the japanese population lives in Tokyo and all around it! I'll pass on this sale, I'm just not in the mood of buying toys right now
  15. Fantastic project, looking forward to see it completed!
  16. I wonder if this sale has anything to do with these meltdown rumors... then I guess all exports from Japan would be severely damaged. In the first hours of this tragedy medias were talking abour only 4 casualties caused byt this 8.9 magnitude earthquake which was unbelievable, now it's over 10000... this is really a nightmare.
  17. Cool display Melbin, love the way you displayed your SV-51s! I got a few more Yamato display stand mighty blocks and finally added the valkyries I got from the last HLJ sale on my ever growing Tokyo style display:
  18. I had the same hip looseness problem on my 22S Miria. It was due to the rubber bit that is placed in the joint being slighlty damaged. Taking the hip apart/coating the ball joint fixed the problem.
  19. I'd pick my 1/60 YF-21 as well but it'd be a tie with the VF-1D.
  20. I'd love a Glaug too! And both two seaters look very good as well
  21. I know, I've read it in your review of the VB-6 btw. I could overlook that slight scale difference to have a MF transforming figures display though.
  22. That's where I would start collecting Frontier stuff. Bandai's VB-6 Monster is a nice figure, but it deperatley needs some in scale transforming valks to go with.
  23. WOW... these yf-19 kits blew my mind!
  24. I think one can still compare it to a detachable heat shield.
