The distribution just really doesn't seem to make any sense. On various GI Joe forums, some people are claiming that their stores are stocked several pegs deep, while others claim that they never got entire waves. So far, I've been able to find every figure at retail except for wave 1 Flint, variant Snake Eyes, and the SDCC Destro. I stopped by a Wal-Mart on my way to work this past Friday and they had just restocked all of wave 2, probably 3-4 of every figure except the troopers (somebody ALWAYS beats me to the troopers ). Looks like Hasbro is still shipping wave 2 for those that missed out initially, so that's good news.

Love that Firefly pose. He's definitely my favorite figure from wave 3. Of course, the original Firefly was my favorite figure when I was a kid, so I'm biased by nostalgia. Luckily, I found a yellow Stalker at Target weeks ago, they're going for crazy prices on eBay right now

I would order ALL of my Macross toys from Los at laftoys.com if he weren't in the same state as me. Because he is located in Texas (where I live), I have to pay 8.25% sales tax on anything I order from him. I have ordered several smaller/cheaper items from him in the past and his prices are generally very good and his customer service is unrivaled.

Graham has said, on more than one occasion, that there is absolutely no chance of any 1/48 two-seaters from Yamato. So, unless you have some inside information to the contrary, I'd say proceed with your custom

I went looking for wave 3 today. I went to 3 Wal-Marts, 2 Targets, and 1 TRU and did not find any wave 3 figures. I did, however, pick up a couple of the Cobra Legions 5 packs which was awesome. Awesome, that is, until I decided to open one of them. For crying out loud, how do they intend for anybody to take these figures out of the packaging with out breaking them. I decided that I didn't want to risk it and just cut up the blister all to hell. I would have liked to keep the packaging in good condition should I ever decide to put the figures back in for safe keeping. Anyways, I like the figures even though they're all repaints. I especially like the black CC and the dragon SS. I mostly bought the pack for the troopers, but these CC and SS repaints are really nice (IMO)

Actually, IIRC, I believe there is a montage that shows him (Hikaru) training in a VF-1A when he first joins the service

Unlike the (apparent) majority, I don't care much for any of the other VFs so a redo of the VF-1 in 1/60 would be awesome in my book

It was not a limited edition release, it just hasn't been re-released as of yet. Yamato may very well decide to re-release it at some point in the future. Of course, if they don't, then at least you'll have one

I got the impression that the Wave 1/100 YF-21 was, in fact, a variable model. At least, the pictures on the web page that Reactive linked to show it in battroid and fighter modes.

Just logged into HLJ to check the status of the order I already paid for, this is what I saw: Seriously? I know a lot of you guys like HLJ, but this is seriously not leaving me with a good first impression. I don't think I'll be using them again.

Heh. Same here. I got the payment request last night, which I paid immediately upon receiving, and it still says (nearly 24 hours later) processing payment. I realize there's about 12 hours difference between here and there, but they do seem a tad on the slow side. Oh well, I guess I'm in no rush

All of the rumors that I have heard indicate that most of the figs in the 5 pack will be released carded or in the comic 2 packs. Out of all of the figs in the 5 packs, I only really wanted Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander, and Destro. I think I will leave my 5 packs unopened and pick up the other figs when they are released on cards or in comic packs.

Wonder when we'll start seeing prototype images? Have we known about any of the other releases this far in advance without seeing prototype pictures? Probably so, but I can't seem to remember any.

I already found all of the wave 2 figs except Serpentor I had a terrible time trying to find wave 1 figs at retail. All I ever found was the 5 packs and a single carded Snake Eyes v2. Either wave 2 has received better distribution than wave 1, or I just got really lucky

Why is the thread about the 25th anniversary figures getting posts about Sigma 6 junk? j/k. I thought I liked the S6 figs at first, but after buying the wave 1 Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, I decided that I do not like them. The overly stylized/animated look just doesn't appeal to me

Just got back from Wal Mart (ugh) and I actually managed to find all of Wave 2 except for Serpentor. I was actually able to score 2 Beach Heads and 2 Cobra Troopers. I was quite shocked, not to mention a little bit embarrassed at the cash register

I managed to get all of wave 1 of the 25th anniversary figs except for the "Pimp Daddy" Destro convention exclusive! I had to resort to eBay though Hopefully I will have better luck with wave 2 at retail.

I haven't received a notice from HLJ yet either, and I placed my pre-order back in March. What gives? Should I be worried?
