I got a VE-1 last week and ran into the same problem as you, i thought i was alone and doing something wrong. Sucked the fun out of the toy as i spent the next hour or so fighting those things. It got to the point where i took the arm off so i didnt break anything with all the force that i was applying. I ended up using a guitar pick looking tool from an iphone repair kit and jammed it into the front part you see on this pic. That spread the tabs enough for me to manage to get one side off and it didnt mar the plastic. Im thinking of doing some filing to make easier to take them on and off because this was just crazy.

Got this Frontier movie set yesterday. Glad i could own some form of official release with subtitles. Watched the first movie and its stunning on Blu Ray. Comes with these 2 heavy art books that significantly added some cost to the shipping. Im not a fan of art books but these have some nice art in them.

Only anything that has subs. I have a Macross Frontier PS3 blu ray box on the way that has both movies with subs on it. If there are any more Macross blu rays with subs you can recommend id like to know
