  1. Hmm, this thing doesn't seem to have any verniers either (which are present in all over Valks also). How does it maneuver in space?
  2. Yeah, actually I like all three of those styles. Nice variety.

    Bandai DX VF-31

    I'm all about the -31C :-)
  4. Yep, first episode of Frontier I think, Alto coasts forward in gerwalk mode for a while using those thrusters after he rescues Ranka. Damn, I really like the -30 but this is gonna bother me, haha. I'm silly like that I guess.
  5. So.... guys. Where are the rear thrusters on this thing in gerwalk mode? I.e., how does it fly forward in gerwalk mode? As far as I remember every other Valk has some sort of thrust that can be used for this purpose; even the -25 has those tiny little things where the shield was connected in fighter mode. But I can't see any such thing on the -30.

I actually like the shape of the gear, although David's point about the doors acting as accidental air brakes during take off is interesting.
  7. Okay thanks. :-)
  8. Are you able to lock in the legs/intakes in GERWALK for more stability if you didn't need the waist joint?
  9. Because of all those extra atms of pressure in the vacuum of space, right?
  10. So this may be the worst idea ever, but... Has anyone considered just gluing the missiles in place?
  11. The arms do take some particular aligning to go back. I'm pretty comfortable with it so you will eventually get an instinctive feel for it, but I hear ya, the first several times it was not fun.
  12. Given your previous post history I'm not sure it's a joke at all. You have some sort of rage crusade or something.
  13. Ahh yeah you're right. Now that I see that the module can store neatly in fighter mode I like it even more.
  14. Hahahaha I really want this thing! The only thing that looks odd is the missile pod FAST pack in fighter mode.
  15. This is pretty much it right here, for any business. Let's not kid ourselves here about company morality - what it boils down to is "this particular company's business strategy is not conducive to me getting foreign toys as an unintended market and that makes me angry".
  16. Significantly better than what I thought it was, which is touching the display will rip your hand off right above the fingers!
  17. 1) The long cockpit/fuselage section makes the gerwalk look very unbalanced. 2) The arms go over the wings, which looks awkward. But the bottom line is, it's aesthetic preference, which is subjective. For what it's worth, neither of those points bother me, I like it just fine.
  18. I like them. Good communication and service. I paid for both VF-171 and super pack at once for pre-order, not having read their policy that they'll combine shipping for pre-orders unless otherwise specified (my fault). I actually wanted my 171 shipped right away, and the super pack sent when it became available. They responded to my emails in a day at most, and the extra shipping charge for having two separate packages was only like $12 (!!).
  19. The transformation is very fiddly (there's a certain order you need to do things, around the neck / chest area) but after some practice now it's not a problem. The parts are well engineered and the transformation is fun now, after getting used to it. Unlike, say, the v.1 armored parts which sucked every time....
  20. Most people would say all of us are insane for dropping anything above, oh, I dunno, $100 on some plastic transforming robots.
  21. I love the centrifugal force launch mechanism on the Valhalla
  22. I see what you did there
  23. Hmm, why do you have both the old UN Spacy and the NUNS logos on there? Not saying there's anything wrong with that, just curious.
  24. And they're very good about communicating, which I find reassuring about an overseas seller.
