  1. I'm happy to see from the poster that its rated R.
  2. LOL! Love it. Actually wouldn't the light sabre be the perfect weapon vs. the aliens? Cauterizes as it cuts thus preventing the nasty acid blood of the aliens.
  3. Pachinko videos? I guess Bandai Visuals legal department has a lot of spare time on their hands then.
  4. Watched Sky Crawlers last night. Have to confess that after 20 minutes I was very close to turning it off since I though the pace was too slow and the dialogue too awkward. Boy I'm glad that I didn't. There's a actually a good reason for the first half hour to feel the way it does, and the story takes some unexpected turns along the way. The mechanical designs are really cool too and the CGI and sound are absolutely amazing. Have to say though that I did not like the minimalistic character designs at all, specially since they contrast so sharply with the rich and lush backgrounds. But all in all a good film that leaves a lot of things to think about.
  5. A concert scene with original background and very clean. Ok then, Then the price is understandable. Gunbuster cels in general are not cheap. Recently got a nice Kazumi one but I've actually never seen a Noriko one on sale.
  6. $1200 for a Minmay cel? Was that autographed by Mikimoto or something?
  7. Thanks for the upload. Pachinko must be one hell of a good business then. I mean throwing money at Macross is one thing, but Aquarion?
  8. Awesome stuff. It must have cost a pretty penny to make this! I assume the Pachinko game must be rather popular then?
  9. Yeah thanks. Just ordered it from the US instead. Will take much longer to get here, but it's not like I haven't read them before...
  10. I can already picture it. "Xenomorphs vs. Predators 2: The Final Crackdown".
  11. does anyone know where the first 1.30 of this video is from?
  12. Hey, what a coincidence. I just bought from an online trader an Orguss cel with the man Kei Katsuragi too. And for a good price too. Nice background on the 2nd one.
  13. Yeah, Mikimoto really put some effort into drawing her
  14. Well I think that part of the appeal of this series is how Tanigawa has been touching upon the complexities and anomalies that time travel and alternate universes would cause:, not to mention the presence of a teenage divinity that can unconsciously alter the fabric of reality. All presented in a very moe package, but its still not easy. And from what we've read, it does seem that the plot is thickening. Look forward to seeing full translations out soon By the way, does anyone know if the Rampage of Suzumiya Haruhi is out yet? Amazon UK has as official release date june7th and yet when one tries to actually order it, it says that it's not yet released.
  15. I'm pretty sure Ridley Scott won't put his name to something that doesn't fit or make any sense. I can think of several ways for them solve the "did Weyland know" issue. We'll have to wait and see...
  16. If that video is the real deal, that's one lucky squirrel and one lucky driver. I would have though a Lambo was too low for anything to run beneath it.
  17. The story sounded interesting enough and solved the whole "space jockey as protagonist" issue. Let's see how it plays out.
  18. This is excellent news. I saw one of these films so long ago that I can barely remember the story. Look forward to watching them again!
  19. Yeah, Misa looks sweet in that pic.
  20. Yeah, the TV series and the OVA are far more enjoyable and have some of the funniest scenes I can remember. But I kinda went on Patlabor marathon last year so its still fresh on my mind. And the serious tone of the first film was exactly what I wanted this time around.
  21. Saw Votoms ages ago and enjoyed it quite a bit. Have yet to see Blue Gender so I'll look it up and might take it up then.
  22. Due to the insane taxes in cars in Denmark, its also pretty rare to see anything above Mercedes and BMW's. There's the odd Porsche now and then but Lambo's are rare. My automotive highlight of the year was being overtaken on the E20 by a Bugatti Veyron with german numberplates. Trust me, there is nothing else that looks remotely like that car on the road. Every single motorist on the road either had a mild heart attack or developed stains on his pants.
  23. After doing Ah My Goddess I needed a dose of mecha action so I'm rewatching the first Patlabor film.
  24. Actually the name comes from bullfighting. Lamborghini names a lot of it's cars after famous bulls like Islero, Murcielago, Reventon and Gallardo. "Aventador" was a particularly fierce bull that took part in a bullfight in Zaragoza, Spain in 1993. Apparently Mr. Ferrucio Lamborghini was nuts about bullfighting. In fact if I'm not mistaken, the emblem of Lamborghini is a bull. And yeah, that is absolutely awesome car.
  25. Southern Cross would have looked very different with that kind of character designs. And I think it would have been hard to sell that stuff to Macek and pass it off as part of Robotech.
