    The first couple of episodes of Toward the Terra are a bit sluggish. The series gets better after episode 3 or so. Just saying so you don't get discouraged early on.

    You can catch Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam on ANN's website for free. I think Crunchyroll has a couple of other Gundam series too.

    RIP Neil Armstrong. It pisses me off that suddenly there's a lot of talk in social forums about "Did we really go to the moon?" A lot people cannot fathom that with the technology of the 60's man was able to reach the Moon. Sad really.

    The series did have a couple of episodes were the jingoism, national stereotyping were getting a bit too bad for my taste too, but they have toned it down a notch and the last episodes have been back to focusing on the combat/mecha side of things more. As a plus, I've also read that the creator of Muv Luv had the director replaced, so as from episode 10 there is a new guy in charge. Which will hopefully help with the pacing issues you've mentioned.

    Started watching Arakawa Under the Bridge. Incredibly random sense of humour. Reminds me a bit of Bakemonogatari (well it is made by Shaft and a lot of the seeiyus are the same). Muv Luv Total Eclipse finally had some combat yesterday

    Sure looks like him. I wonder how he and Basara would get along? Mac II has definitely been blasted into oblivion in all these celebrations.

    Good episode this one. For once we get more explanations than questions and the story seems a lot less cryptical now.

    While seeing Basara and Mylene on a car is unexpected, never in a million years would I have expected the Flower Girl to have a place on it. Love it!

    I always though that it might make for an awesome animated series. There are some great stories in there and some amazing characters too. Fëanor in a particular is such an marvelously over the top character: immensely powerful and talented yet also deeply flawed.

    Watching Death Note on DVD and Kokoro Connect online. So far so good. The last 2 chapters of Muv Luv Total Eclipse have been pretty bad.

    I got mine from YesAsia yesterday. They're a bit slow but they get there. I don't think I got a film strip though? However I only checked the whole thing superficially. I'll unwrap everything properly later tonight.

    Finished Claymore. Mysterious Girlfriend X: Drool is now sexy. DeathNote: Finally get to watch this. Will it live up to its reputation?

    Nice link. The Macross Zero ones are pretty accomplished but in the last page there's a hand painted Misa that's the best of the lot IMO. I'm not sure but it could actually be an oil on canvas. Anyone?

    YesAsia sent mine on friday and am now patiently waiting for customs to fleece me with an extra 37 per cent. Despite some of the negative stuff I've read about the quality of the release, I'm still very excited about getting a new special release of DYRL.

    Yup its a pretty good series so far. Just seen the Teresa arc. Absolutely loved the character. I know the manga is ongoing so I guess it has an anime only ending. Hope its a good one.

    Picked up Claymore very cheap and am now watching. It's got kind of a Berserk-light feel to it which I like and the Claymore character designs are pleasant to the eye. As an added plus, there's bagpipe background music during some of the fights which for some reason I find really cool. The latest episode of Muv Luv got a bit too much into nationalism and race for my taste. I hope there's less of that in future chapters and more kicking BETA ass with cool looking mecha.
