  1. The last ep couldn't hide Kawamori's Macross background. A love triangle brewing, singing and a very large and transcendent mecha.
  2. Daaamn, I need to pay more attention to those drama albums
  3. ^ Excellent. Thanks Tochiro.
  4. +2 The Grace & Leon version of 0-G Love alone will be worth the price the CD. Hearing Grace (Kikuko Inoue) singing Totsugeki Love Hear will be a splendid bonus. Is this a general release that will be available on the usual standard retailers or will it be some kind of more exclusive release?
  5. Thanks for the video antibiotictab. You know an anime has made it BIG when it's used for a car commercial. Now if only the Recon Corps could get their hands on a couple of Subaru Forrester's to escape the Titans...
  6. Spot on with your breakdown of Berserk renegadeleader 1. There is just one small thing to consider. I think that despite the fact that yes, Griffith considers Guts to be his chess piece to help him get to the top, he is also the only person that has distracted Griffith from his goal. I think it's in volume 12 of the manga where he says something along the lines of "Among thousands of comrades and tens of thousands of enemies, you're the only one who made me forget my dream.” Casca knows this, and it's the reason of her volcanic dislike of Guts .
  7. I like Chie's singing. She provides a low key contrast to Fukuyama's amazing rocking pipes.
  8. I've been incessantly mocked by a couple of guys of my anime watching circle "Dude, you have not watched Sword Art Online???!!!" so I've given in to the hype and watched the first couple of episodes. The premise I agree is very interesting and I like the world they have created. Having said that, the whole affair seems a tad rushed to me at some points. I'm assuming that there is some source material (light novel, visual novel?) and that they are taking some liberties with it.
  9. Last ep was pretty decent I thought. The Tenjin War Armour was one good looking mecha. Kawamori hasn't lost his touch.
  10. 3 eps? I thought only 2 were out so far? Yeah, it's pretty enjoyable series. Just think the mecha feel a bit out of place. Keep it to magic and law.
  11. Attack on Titan has been extremely successful in Japan as well as overseas, so there is no reason to believe that they will not continue the series. It's a matter of time IMHO. The anime adapted up to chapter 33 of the manga (AoT is based on a manga of the same name in case you didn't know). So far there are 53 chapters (available on Crunchyroll manga if you want to check them out online) so I imagine they are just waiting to have enough material to do another 2 cour season.
  12. I see were you are coming from and I agree for the most part. The problem is that when the argumentation presented to give a dissenting opinion seems to be adversarial just for the heck of it. The points of view presented seem to come from a "Everyone talks highly of this so I'm gonna trash it" perspective, instead of honest impassionate critique of things. Anyway, back to Berserk, if I remember correctly, depending on how well the films did, the producers were inclined to continue the story. If you've seen the third movie you'll know that it already sets things up for a continuation much more so than the TV series. So do your bit, buy those BD's and lets hope to see more relentless slab of iron hacking in the future.
  13. Great video guys and like Gubaba said, very fitting soundtrack to it. While looking at the video I must confess one thought kept popping up: Either that's a very small door or you guys have some Zentran blood in you.
  14. It is, and it has a good premise and some wonderful art. A bit disappointed with the ending though. I have been hearing there might be a second season. I really want to like Space Dandy more than I do, but there's something missing. I cannot put my finger on what. I hope it gets better as it goes on.
  15. Yeah, I was thinking that too! Maybe Kawamor, always aware of the times we are in, i is looking at the success of "imouto" manga and anime and capitalizing on it?
  16. It had a whole lot of WTF moments for a 4 minute show for sure! I thought the second episode of Space Dandy was ok. It reminds me a lot of Outlaw Star meets Redline with a touch of Johnny Bravo. I think it's going to be more of a hit with mainstream audiences than with hardcore anime fans. Nisekoi looks like your standard high school romcom story, but SHAFT gives it a style and feel that will probably make me stay with it. So far I have to say that the winter season is not really as good as the autumn one.
  17. Nice video of the Fire-BomBAR guys. The place looks really cozy.
  18. Armin figure LOL. Speaking of which, last chapter of the manga
  19. I found the first half of the episode actually pretty amusing. It's like a mix between Outlaw Star and Inferno Cop sprinkled with a bit of Johnny Bravo. The animation and art were pretty good too. Now the question is if the story/plot will be any good. I don't think it's going to be too popular with the hardcore anime community though. There's no high school setting or underage female characters
  20. I cannot say that trailer impressed me too much. Some things are best left in 2D.
  21. The strange thing is that at some points it becomes kind of serious and you're left wondering if they really mean the satire bit. I mean the whole bit with Speaking of serious, anyone else seen Nobunaga the Fool yet? I'm so glad that Kawamori reserves some of his more zany ideas for series like this or Aquarion. I'm not so sure how I'd feel with a Macross with historical figures running around.
  22. If you guys liked Claymore, make sure to check out the manga. Not only does the anime only cover the first third of the series or so, but the manga really fleshes out the characters much more. It's a pretty good read. And yeah Teresa of the Faint Smile is a great character. But I really like God Eye Galathea too! I'm checking out Gatchaman Crowds before the new winter series start kicking in on CR. After the initial shock of the colour and designs (and the fact that it seems to have very little if not nothing in common with the Gatchaman of my childhood) wore off, I've discovered that its actually a pretty thoughtful series that's asking some very relevant questions. And it has a killer soundtrack that just doesn't leave your brain. Anyone checked out Space Dandy yet?
  23. That's one good looking fan movie right there! Congratulations to all involved.
