  1. I did an exchange with my bro and gave him my Yamato BD's and he lent me JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I've only seen 3 episodes so far but it's a blast. It's like Fist of the North Star dropped into Victorian England. The levels of GAR are positively off the charts. Kill la Kill ends tomorrow and I cannot wait. There were so many death flags in the last episode that we might be in for a memorable finale.
  2. That's one heck of a cel! You really have them all jvmacross!
  3. Splendid news. I really hope Mikimoto gets to finish it now that they've found another venue for it.
  4. This thread is giving me some massive flashbacks!
  5. Started watching Ga-Rei Zero. Surprisingly good so far with a casualty rate that would keep most Tomino fans happy.
  6. Thanks for the links guys. The Gundam franchise is really putting out a lot of quality stuff. Origin looks amazing and am I right in assuming that those 2 kids we saw in the trailer are Casval Rem Deikun and his sister Artesia? And the casket they are standing in front of is the man Zeon himself?
  7. Love it! Wouldn't it be a heck of a surprise if Kawamori went ahead to the past and went 2D with the valkyrie design?
  8. Watched some Gundam Seed Destiny (film version, don't wanna watch all 50 eps) and I have to say that in the Shinn Asuka character they have created the single most dislikeable character in Gundam. And that's a hard thing to do. Not to mention destroyed any kind of development that some characters from SEED had done during the course of the series (damsel in distress Cagalli is unbearable to watch).
  9. Just finished hearing your podcast. Great job guys, thank you. They keep getting more interesting and the sound quality has improved so much since the early versions. Regarding the Valkyrie Project affair, I talked to a mexican friend who told me that apparently most of the Latin American Robotech fandom is incensed at Harmony Gold for what happened and raising hell in a couple of forums and Facebook pages. So it's pretty interesting to read your take on things. I wonder who ordered that cease and desist to be sent. In any case, it's another sad case for HG where they are once again best known for their lawyers instead of their products.
  10. I think the sidebar with the links is working fine now. The main page is now red and with a different font now though; is that deliberate? Or part of the fix? Seeing in on a mac with firefox browser.
  11. Hi guys How long before part 2 is up on Itunes? Edit: Never mind. Just downloaded it.
  12. Finished Casshern Sins and have to say I'm a bit disappointed. It all started so well, beautiful art and retro character designs, a dystopian, dark end of the world story with a great OST. But the story soon got a bit repetitive and towards the end there was a lot of inconsistency in the characters actions (sometimes from one episode to another), plot holes and in general I was left with the feeling that the screenwriter didn't know how to finish the story properly. A triumph of style over substance IMO. Anyone else here seeing Tonari no Seki-kun The Master of Killing Time? Absolutely hilarious stuff with sketches about a girl with a vivid imagination getting the wrong idea about what the savant kid next her is wasting time on. Each episode is only 7 minutes long and it's well worth a watch.
  13. Kill la Kill is going to be a must buy BD for me when it comes. This last episode confirmed that.
  14. A dude older than my dad cosplaying like Ozma Lee? Gotta love it!
  15. I thought it was coming out the 11th? Keith, do you have your own little backdoor supplier you devil?!
  16. Me too. I cannot wait. BTW, the American BD is coming out next week. There's also a special edition coming out that includes the 2 soundtracks among other things.
  17. This last episode was trippy to the max. The visuals and OST were completely out there. I wonder what Watanabe smoked for this one. I love the episodic character of this series. Every episode is it's own world altogether.
  18. I've had 2 Volkswagen Jetta's. Awesome cars both of them and the first one (which I sold to a friend of mine) has been running for 14 years without a single glitch. My only complaint with VW is that their prices (both vehicles and service/repairs) have risen considerably over the past decade compared to other car makers.
  19. It's from the same mangaka who did "A Bride's Story", right? She's one heck of an artist but I wonder how a japanese artist tackles Victorian England. Is it any good?
  20. Indeed, indeed. I think that with her 'nice body' she can pull anything off though
  21. I think if they had made Niimi with the Melda Deitz proportions, the figure would 'mysteriously' disappear in customs
  22. Episode 20 of Kill la Kill is awesome for all that appreciate rampant nudity and ludicrous combat scenes. DuelGundam is going to hate it with all his might for sure and give us a CAPS LOCK extravaganza post on all is wrong with it for sure.
  23. Finished watching Gundam Seed and am now watching Casshern Sins. Great watch. Dystopian, apocaliptic slow paced show (I'm a sucker for those). Love the old school art and character designs too and from what I can gather it's a reboot of an anime by none other than Tatsunoko from the 70's. Anyone ever watch the original? As a fan of Tsutomu Nihei's manga I'm quite excited about the upcoming Knights of Sidonia anime. Check out the trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acc9H-gSE4Y
