  1. He keeps on talking about the point he tries to make, but never actually gets to the point. It's rather amusing actually.
  2. Turn A Gundam getting a nice BD Box Set in Japan. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/05/09/bandai-visual-to-release-gundam-blu-ray-box-sets-in-japan The question on everyone's lips is if the Moustache will have english subs or not? Fingers crossed it will. Come on Bandai Visual!
  3. "Ai no FENIX kokoro no uchuu e "
  4. I love the Mospeada soundtrack. Blue Rain, Love Stone, Stop!
  5. Thanks so much for the recommendation. I'm up to the 3rd episode of Ping Pong so far and have to admit it's absolutely brilliant. The direction, dialogue and animation are all top notch and the "ugly" art somehow keeps on growing on you.
  6. I adore Kanno too but I agree. It'd be great to have someone else do a kicka*s Macross OST. I'd love a guy like Iwasaki Taku who did the OST for Gatchaman Crowds and Gurren Lagann. But I'm sure whoever Kawamori chooses will be plenty good.
  7. it seems so. That's what....20 grand or so? Wow. Macross has some commited fans.
  8. I've read Kizumono too and have to say that there's nothing really in the plot there that could ruin anything for anyone just watching the TV series. The reason can also not be financial since the Monogatari series continues being phenomenally successful and it's sales figures keep Shaft well fed.The only reason I can find for it being delayed is creative. Maybe they're not pleased with how it ended up looking? Maybe they want to tie it with a final movie? Questions, questions. Regarding Hanekawa
  9. I don't know about info, but at the moment Satelight has 2 shows on (Nobunaga The Fool) and M3 which is supposedly 24 episodes long and will not finish til around october. So while the new Macross series could very well be in pre-production, I wouldn't hold my breath for anything to come out anytime soon. Both series have been pretty poor BTW. I hope that they don't recycle too many of the creative staff for the Macross project.
  10. I know! And it's in gorgeous color too. Some kind of false prophet I am.
  11. Saw The Wind Rises in the cinema yesterday. What a beautiful film. The art and animation, soundtrack were just something else. About the only thing I didn't like too much was Hideaki Anno's voice as the protagonist. It was just too flat for my liking. Still a great movie though. A fine goodbye by Miyazaki. Also caught a short series "Time of Eve". Really good take on robots becoming sentient and a part of everyday life. What "I Robot" wanted to say, this did it with one thousandth of the budget, but ten times more imagination.
  12. LOL Yeah. In any case, I don't think I'd be giving them anything they haven't thought of before. If there's one part of their company were their imagination and intelligence is in full cry is in their legal department. Anyway, Macross the First looks great on the app. I really hope Mikimoto might be motivated to finish this baby.
  13. True. But they could ask for it to be geoblocked. It's done regularly with streaming sites were the content cannot be accessed in countries were there is a different license holder.
  14. Not FireBomber in itself, but you can find some Yoshiki Fukuyama playing M7 songs on Itunes. There's a pretty good live acoustic version of "Angel Voice" and if I remember correctly Seventh Moon as well. Different countries have different Itunes stores so do some searching and see what you can find,
  15. Love it. Macross content online. Yeah! I'm surprised the extraordinarily efficient legal deparment of certain entity whose name I will not mention hasn't made a move yet.
  16. There's a date of expiry to their license?!! I had missed that nugget. I'm gonna party like it's 1999 when that happens.
  17. Kill la Kill rocks. I cannot help but tell everyone to watch it. And wait to be fleeced with the inevitable high price special edition BD set. Finished watching the first season of Gundam 00 (very good) and for a change of pace I re-watched Angel's Egg. Oshii and Amano created an amazing film. The art, the soundtrack, the mood it creates. Extraordinary.
  18. Blast of Tempest sounds really interesting. Unfortunately Crunchy doesn't stream it in my location. Ouch. Anyone else seem M3? It's the newest production from Satelight (Kawamori's studio). The first episode was rather decent and lot less goofy than some of the other stuff that Satelight has done lately. The mecha were ugly as sin, so I hope Kawamori is just using this to put away all the designs that he's NOT going to use for the upcoming Macross tv series.
  19. Don't forget Suzi Quatro and my personal favorite Robert Edward O. Speedwagon (REO Speedwagon). Brynhildr is starting to resemble Elfen Lied now. The guy who wrote those seriously
  20. Spot on Azrael.
  21. Normally I don't really like sports anime, it's one of the few genre's that leaves me cold but I keep on hearing good things about this one. Care to share a bit more on how Ping Pong is a mindblowing experience?
  22. The disc is announced as Region free on all websites that sell it. In fact as far as I can tell, the entire slate of releases by Bandai of Macross on BD has been region-free. So the films should play fine on any BD player. I don't know about the game though.
  23. Oh, wow, a lot of foreign guys working on Space Dandy. This Bahi guys animations and layouts are truly great though.
  24. I didn't know that a French guy had worked on Space Dandy and is actually a full Satelight employee. The following interview with him actually explains what it's like to work with Kawamori so it's an interesting read for Macross fans. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interview/2014-04-14/the-space-dandy/part-i-thomas-romain
