What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v3.0
Marzan replied to wolfx's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I really like Elfen Lied. It's really a great story of unbelievably cruel humans can be to each other and particularly how twisted children can be. I find that it's a real "love it or hate it" anime. It's also one of the few anime adaptations that I think is superior to the original manga. Did you stop watching it because you didn't find it interesting? Or was it too graphic for your taste? Most people I know who quit it, did so after the very first episode so that's why I ask. -
Agree. The opening is almost identical, but it get's a bit different after that. I like Fire Bomber better. BOMBA!

Is Kawamori the guy standing on the right?? I only ask because although that really looks like him, there's no way that man is 50 years old! -
You serious?! Fukuyama sensei ripping someone off? Have to hear this song to form an opinion.

Weird Al's cover of George Harrisons "I got my mind set on you" is one of the best parodies ever.
-
LOL:D That's the kind of remake one can respect!

Up to chapter 7 of Gankutsuou. Finally gotten used to the art and animation style and have to say that is an extraordinary series. Not a single "filler" moment so far. -
2112 Overture has the one of the best openings in rock history for sure.
-
Yeah, that's why I was a bit confused. You see, the Velma I remember from my childhood was a slightly chubby teenager.
-
Is that Velma from Scooby Doo??
-
LOL:D Is that Ryan Phillipe on the left??

Infinite Arms by Band of Horses. Not as good as their first 2 albums.

There's a Patlabor 4? As far I know the last Patlabor movie was WXIII. Started watching Gankutsuo and I have to say that I find the animation styles and the background REALLY distracting. It's a real shame because it seems like it's going to be a killer story (how can it not be when it's based on the Count of Montecristo). -
In this "all is possible" world we live in I say it's not long before we see a live action "Thundercats" with Elijah Wood playing Snarf and the dude from Twilight as Lion-O

If they follow the same kind of timeframe maybe we can expect a trailer in july then?
-
Didn't the trailer for the first movie only appear a couple of months before release?

That's some sweet looking art. Is it possible to purchase this book online?? Sorry I cannot answer your question:) -
Not much of a jazzman (Yoko Kanno's stuff excepted) but I got John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme" as a gift and I have to say I'm really enjoying it.

Hi Pete, If there's such a thing as "balance" in this world you'll hopefully soon have a run of immense luck and good fortune... The thread had kind of slowed down the last couple of weeks, but hopefully we can pick it up this week were we had left off....

The Kakizaki pic is surely called "The Last Supper"?
-
Its plain disturbing if you ask me. Live action "Smurfs"... I mean, really?
-
The Misa pic is gorgeous in my opinion.

Splendid news item you have found for us. Kawamori should be recruited by the South Korean military to implement this daring project:D

And don't forget her killer voice!
