Speaking of banned... I'm thinking I'll get the ax for this one: Things you DON'T like about Robotech Thread magna_mozz69 Rank: Corporal Subject: HA!!!! Posted on: May 14, 2011 - 2:52:14 PM 1-Kevin McKeveer 2-HG Executive management for mishandling the RT franchise. 3-HG co*k blocking wall disallowing Macross into the states, so that RT fans can remain stagnate with this withering brand. 4-Tommy Yune's lack of muster when it comes to aggressivly push new designs, expanding on the RT mecha line. 5-HG creative teams lack of ability to meet deadlines with media productions. 6-Giving product to limited markets while the primary market clamors for revised material or new material. 7-The fact the HG doesnt listen to fans who live in the real world, who spend money on product. 8-For not being smart, and releasing Macross in the states as a seperate entity. 9-HG having nothing but complete and unyielding ammounts of fear of failure. Sorry but I've really had it with Robo-Tech.

Wow, I've been gone for a bit, but I see the discussion continues. Personally I don't think that Carl's ideas would reignite any flames for Robo-tech. I've just recently accuquired a DX VF-25F with all the different packs, and I've been watching a lot of Macross Frontier,7, 0, and Plus (Currently on eps. 11 of 7). Personally I feel a bit ripped off. There is so much material from all of these Macross storylines that blend together without annoying speculation of what's cannon, what's not. In Macross its just all laid out. Clear, clean, and direct. Robo-tech could be like that, but too many of the wrong people have had their hands in it. I think Robo-tech should be put to bed for alleast five to ten years, then attempt to reboot it. During that time, I feel that another Macross series expanding on the others, while going off on its own main plot should come stateside. Alongside this a MOSPEADA remake, with new designs and some more twist to the story. I may be rambling here, but I've lived under a rock too long. I like Robotech but since its not going anywhere with quality or quantity, let's put her to bed and keep the original series going.

I liked Invid War, and the Malcontent Uprisings. They seemed to have the best plot of all the series.
-
That was me again. I have an morbid curiousity that wants to follow stupid people like McKeever.
-
Gauging interest for 1/55 MOSPEADA FIGURES!!!

I want in on it. -
Honestly, I am shocked that higher ups from WB, License holders overseas, and any other operation that's tied to HG, don't look at what we speak about pertaining to Robotech and somehow jump in and take it over. Via buyout or whatever other means.
-
Yeah, I figured after I posted, I hadn't really grasped it. Its really frustrating. I thought side hobbies were suppose to be enjoyable. Thanks for pointing it out though.
-
In short, does that mean HG could release Macross Frontier on CN if they go through the motions to do it, if they wanted to?
-
LMFAO!!!!!!!

I'll translate that if you translate this for me: MEMO1DOMINION wrote: ps99041 wrote: RTX is about the fan perspective but according to HG you're not a fan if you criticize their actions. IF MANGA HER WOULD LIKE TO FOLLOW YOUR ADVICE ON YOUR PERSPECTIVE OF CRITICIZING IN HG REALM, HE WELCOME TO IT BUT HE WILL BE SHORT LIVE. FOR A WHILE THERE I THOUGHT YOU WOULD LAST BUT YOU COULD NOT HELP YOURSELF. WELCOME TO RTX. YOUR OTHER CHOICE FOR FAN PERSPECTIVE.

The Robo-Tech Shadow Squad who follow the ways of McKeeverism. Perhaps Agrama is a member.

When I first watched TSC, I wasn't overly impressed with it. Honestly I got to a point of where I'd nap to it because it wasn't stimulating in the least. The revamped PTSC book, I thought had some good points. HG could redeem themselves with the SR movie. But they choose to be stupid.

Sounds like someone is bucking for a promotion! Go get 'em Maverick! Btw, they've pulled down their own website for April fools. Wow, so funny and original. We can all dream can't we?

In my perfect world, Robotech would've happened immediately followed by a successful animated run of the Sentinels, during which time; some comics, novels, toys and rpg, and then the triumphant end of Robotech around 1990. Long live Robotech! In the '90, the other Macross and MOSPEADA series come to the states and they're widely received, reigniting an interest in Robotech. Because the production senario is explained earlier, and Macross is brought to the states without predjudice, Robotech is widely accepted by all and continues to florish alongside Macross and other related lines, in a seperate way. Again in a perfect world.

Hence why HG (Yun, Yune, and McKeever) have to go!
-
I know how you feel bro. Its such a waste to knock on someones door and say: you have something I want. Make more of it, and make it better, ill pay you. Just for them to shut the door in your face, as if you're bothering them from their new external hard drive. I am so sick of HG and people who swear that they're the greatest co. in the world.
-
Ugh Bendo. And you though McKeever was a name that brought shame to the Robo-Tech franchise.
-
Selective Racisim= McKeeverism. Remember, McKeever is a right-wing, conservative nut job. What bothers you and I on encourages him. Although with that, I highly doubt that McKeever can handle face to face, direct confrontation. He has internet muscle, and is at his strongest and most clever behind a PC. Get him face to face and he'll crumble. Meant not to offend other conservatives.
-
Spoken as a true McKeeverist would've done.
-
I was just curious as to what people would have preferred to see amongst the two. It would have to be coordinated regionally if we were to organize it. I would do it for the NC, SC, TN area, since that's where I am momentarilly. That's a real good idea.
-
Btw, for purposes of my own morbid curiousity, please take my poll. I'd appreciate any participation: http://poll.pollcode.com/ZM6X

Its something isn't it. Funny how the base has to go to pay for conventions to see updated material from Robo-Tech's supposed version of Love Live Alive. But we get the whole scoop on an external drive.
-
Btw, thanks go to RTsurfer at rtx for the heads up on the news. I just met him, but seems like a good lad.
-
More proof of why Robotech has now become Robo-Tech. It's just all broken down.
-
Yeah, but its getting worse, lol!
