In the meantime if you haven't already seen it, check out Evangelion re-death for a few laughs on youtube. I especially enjoy the Kaji scenes. -
Macross 25th Anniversary! New TV series coming!

Maybe the SW-XA2 Scheegans? Or a VF-4/VF/14 deriviative... Maybe a revisiting of some designs Kawamori has in the Macross Desing Works that he never used in the series. I wonder if the new series is going to have any character ties to the original series or any of the other series. -
Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone

I just rewatched Asuka's time-attack on the eva series from End of Evangelion. I remembered why I liked Asuka, despite her constant pms. And since Shinji's hospital room scene, and you guys mention of yaoi... I'm really worried about watching this movie when it comes out... -
Well, I just plain old hate the Capricorn TV series helmet, they should have stuck with the mask from the manga. The mask is so much cooler! That's another reason why I love the look of his Surplice in the anime, it's got the mask on top of looking totally badass. I really want a new Shura head sculpt, because I know that a new sculpt would look just like in the anime, and blow the old sculpt away. To be honest, I'm kind of greatful Bandai is taking it slow. With all the Star Wars stuff this year (and I'm anticipating a brand new valkyrie after the sv-51 to save for), my wallet is going to be hurting.

You can't see them in the anime because they're stealth!

Saga and Kanon are really popular in Japan. Like, popular to the point that a lot of shops sold out of them on pre-orders alone. It's no great surprise to me that they put an appendix out of them. Bandai definitely needs to bring out Aiolia. No big surprise on Shun being made into an appendix either, what with what's been going on in the tv series lately. Camus needs a new head badly too. And I wouldn't be adverse to a Capricorn Shura so I can have a decent head with the Gold mask (I hate that helmet beyond words).
-
Yeah, Shun and Dohko are the next known Appendix busts. Good eyes at catching Aiolia in the pic!

A valkyrie that does not transform holds no interest for me. I'm happy for you other guys that want one though! Although I must admit, if they did make a VF-11, I'd pick one up just because.

Surplice Aries Shion/Renegade Aries Shion Hot damn that armor looks good. I prefer the Pope sculpt for his face better though from these pics. I guess I'll just pick it up for the new body and armor, then swap the heads.

Macross 25th Anniversary! New TV series coming!

It could easily take place on outer planets and colonies, or a distant fleet, using different valkyries in the post-SWI and pre-2040. I'm hoping for a good story, good music, and some badass dogfights. And badass enemies that reek of coolness like Miria did. -
I'm glad they put Vader's arms down in the final release. Having his small hands up and in your face, up by his face, looked really... Stupid. Well in the novelization of the movie, it goes into how Obi-wan and Anakin were first fighting Dooku with the sword styles they used when last fighting him in AOTC, to get him off guard. Then they switched to styles they hadn't used before that they were extremely proficient at, and started to put lots of pressure on Dooku. Which is why he busted out the force powers and took Obi-wan out of the fight, since there was a bit too much pressure. Then he started trying to piss Anakin off so he'd make a mistake, but it only made Anakin's attacks more ferocious. Dooku was getting way too tired, but was reassured that Palpatine would step in to stop the fight if anything went wrong (which is supposedly what Palpatine assured him). Of course we know how trustworthy Darth Sidious is.

No Asuka. They have Kaworu, they have Touji and his girl, they even have Kensuke. But no Asuka. They must have gotten sick of her and ate her. And there was much rejoicing. I have to admit to being curious about the movie though. -

Oh GAWD NO, don't Dragon Ball Z anything in Macross. Just what we need. Captain Ackahupikickick: Charge the Macross Cannon! Bridge-bunny-boy: Aye Captain! *nyu-nyu-nyu-nyu* (cannon charging up) Pilot-of-suped-up-valkyrie-bulky-as-hell-covered-in-weapons: NO WAY! I will charge and shoot my valk-buster before you can blow your load at me! *waga-waga-waga-waga* (buster charging up) -spend the next thirty episodes on this scene- (insert pointless retarded dialogue about power levels rising, pissing match about the power of their weapons, oh noes they'll destroy half the galaxy, all while cutting to equally pointless scenes of dialogue in stand-off situations) And as eugimon said, they already have valkyries take on impossible odds. All I have to point out is Operation Stargazer, impossible odds, and Max achieving on his own what the elite pilots of the M7 fleet couldn't accomplish as a team. -
Saint Seiya starting from the Hades Arc: Sanctuary Chapter to get people into the best part of the series and get them to go back and watch what they missed (releasing the earlier episodes at a later time). The US got screwed since the series wasn't picked up in the 80's like all the other countries. So when ADV released it, the animation was dated, and no one wanted to watch an 80's style story.

Only things I don't like about the 1/48: -backpack hinge (god damn thing broke on my Miria, I blame Gamlin ) -nosecone -low hanging arms in fighter -limp wrist -smearable Low Viz v1 paintjob Otherwise it's all good in my book.

IIRC Obi-wan is said to be Owen Larrs' estranged brother in the RotJ novel. Just goes to show how Lucas changes his original ideas. I remember going to swapmeets and toy shows with my mom when I was a kid and talking to Star Wars fans selling the old toys, and half of the people talking about Lucas doing Star Wars Episode 1, while the other half were saying that technology hadn't come far enough for him to do it the way he wanted yet (this was back in 1991). Of the group that did talk about Episode 1 being made, they were talking about how Obi-wan defeated Anakin in a volcano and threw him into the lava. The only major thing that really bothered me with ROTS was that we didn't get to see Vader in the armor hunting down any of the jedi. I wanted to see some Vader in suit with red lightsaber massacring jedi. Minor things that bothered me were the lack of a good space battle, although the opening was impressive, it wasn't as intense space-fighter wise. The cruisers hammering the crap out of each other were awesome. Other thing that bothered me was how fast Dooku bit it. I was looking to more Christopher Lee screen time. Oh and Aayla Secura's death blew.

Looking interesting at least. I prefer Fight Club the movie, to the book. Although I can't remember much of the book, I just remember liking the movie better.
-
I liked Palpatine's set-up for when Mace Windu and his posse came to arrest him, in the book. Much more sneaky and evil.
-
Wow, I can't believe someone is passing up the 1/60 YF-19 for the old 1/72. I skipped out on the 1/72 because I thought it looked like crap, although nicer crap than the Bandai 19s.

Dark Jedi, from my understanding, are Jedi that have gone to the dark side, but don't necessarily follow the teachings of the Sith. None of the KOTOR teachings of domination, the force is your servant (as opposed to letting the force guide your actions or whatever), and all that fun stuff that seemed over the top to me. As for the hiding emotions well, it seemed more like Yoda figured that poo was hitting the fan when he felt Mace Windu's back-up get owned, Anakin shishkebob-ing the younglings at the Jedi Temple, and jedi dying all over the galaxy. Since Palpatine was giving Order 66 one by one, he had time to feel all the death and put things together. The clones' emotions probably didn't factor into it that much.
-
The troops that did let Jedi escape (specifically some squads of Republic Commandos) had to answer to the Empire. And from what I remember reading in an article about it, some of them wound up answering to Vader...
-
Papercuts and lemon juice to death. And 67-100 are more ways to execute Jarjar. Besides he screwed everyone by initiating the vote to give Palpatine emergency powers. Everything is his fault.
-
Was it Republic Commando? Since I don't remember it going past prepping for the invasion of Kashyyk. Clonetroopers were trained for Order 66 with total loyalty to Chancellor Palpatine. Since it was just another order, done without hatred, anger, or any of those kinds of emotions to tip off the jedi, most jedi never realized anything was wrong until it was too late. addition: Think of it kind of like Robocop's directive 4, the jedi didn't know it was there until it happened. Oh yeah, and Shaak Ti probably survived Order 66, since it looks like she's going to be in the Force Unleashed videogame.
