Wrong paint scheme or not, it still makes me drool. Right when I looked at it, I freaked out because that damned space whale started screeching to Angel Voice (was listening to the Macross Dynamite 7 episode 4).
-
While it's not the same design as in M7, there's the Macross M3 VF-14 in the Macross Design Works book, which has a back shot in battroid.
-
LOL, Yamato can release the M+ version. Then Kawamori can go "DOH! That wasn't the cannon color in the anime, actually it's supposed to be all white, redo it." And Yamato releases a "cannon" M+ VF-11B in VF-11C colors. I'm not serious on that though. Does anyone remember if the VF-11B in VFX2 had the gunpod w/bayonet or if it had the VF-11C gunpod? Also anyone remember what type of fast packs the Ravens 11 had (M+ or M7)?

Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone
Sumdumgai replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I hope the fight scene between Eva-01 and Sachiel is as brutal (if not more so) than in the tv series. I remember the first time watching Evangelion, being blown away by the animation quality and the brutality of that first fight, which I loved. -
Macross 25th Anniversary and upcoming new TV series thread
Sumdumgai replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
If it's good, with cool, attractive female characters, I'll be looking forward to doujinshi by some good artists. Although I think I'll be disappointed. Some fan service is nice. Emillia. -
Oh baby. VF-11 love! List of color schemes possible for the single-pilot 11: M+ color scheme and fast packs M+ drone (I think the canopy is slightly different, besides the color scheme) M7 Canon Fodder and fast packs (they're different from the 11B fast packs) M7 Pink Pecker Squad (I refuse to by a Pink VF-11) MVFX2 VFX Ravens scheme M M3 Max M M3 Miria M M3 Moaramia Jifon (does she pilot a VF-11? I haven't played M3) Non-cannon Low Visibility Non-cannon Stealth (must have a red eye piece) I doubt Yamato would do a two-seater since they haven't done one with the VF-1 line since the 1/60 scale. Plus, the heatshield on the 11D involves lots of anime magic considering how bulkier it is than the normal 11 heatshield. Hopefully they'll be able to do a good heatshield method for the new one when they do it. Also, hopefully they'll avoid having the shoulder bars from the 1/72. Even if Yamato is limited to M+ and VFX2, that gives us 3 cannon schemes + any non-cannon ones, the fastpacks, and the protect armor with bfgp. BRING ON THE VF-11 YAMATO!

I like the YF-19 gerwalk alright, although it does look a bit weird. King of gerwalk for me is the VF-0, VF-4, or VF-11.

Putting the missile bay hatches would be a bad idea, IMO. It'll reduce the amount of space useable for more important things like storing the legs in fighter mode. If they made it so you could remove the surface plate there and replace it with an opened version with micro missiles, like the legs of the 1/60 Q-rau I'd be fine with it. I want that bird to be sleek and mean looking. addition: Remember the 1/100 VF-0 Yamato was going to do? Remember everyones' reactions to that idea? Yeah, a non-perfect transformation YF-21 wouldn't be very well received.

*wishes he could find Antartica Beer from Brazil, settles for budweiser* Truth to be told I leave my VF-0A in fighter mode most of the time anyway, because it looks best to me in that mode. But still... Irritates me to know that the shoulder is broken and so loose it can't hold up its gunpod.
-
It must have been Roy! The one-armed valkyrie did it!
-
*Dusts off VF-0A in fighter mode. Damned desk gets too damned dusty, too damned fast. Is afraid to transform it.*

If we got pics, people in Japan would get pissed that us foreigners got first dibs on pics before they did and would complain to Yamato.

Heh, I was just looking through the Macross Mecha Design book. It's funny looking at how the gunpods are attached to the YF-21 in fighter mode. I say it's pretty definite they'll attach by magnets for the toy. It looks really funny to me though, like the YF-21 has cancer or some kind of growth on its belly. I hope the hands aren't push-on like the old one. I remember reading that the 1/72 21FP version was a pain in the @ss to get the hands on and off of.

Yamato YF-19 Booster Pack already discontinued???
Sumdumgai replied to Thai Boxer 9901's topic in Toys
It'll come back up when they get more in stock. And they probably won't give advance notice, so you'll just have to check back every so often and hope they don't sell out instantly (like with the Saint Cloth Myth Saint Seiya figures...). -
That's the idea that immediately popped into my head. The other ideas I had were unrealistic. I just hope they don't do a heathshield like on the 1/72 VF-11B. That damned thing cracked on me when I tried cutting it free of the plastic it was formed with. Pissed me off since both got messed up.

I hope he's a scary intense Joker. Already in the trailer he's creepy, and I like it!
-
I can see where you're coming from. The back does look like it was influenced by the 19 (in particular the M7 -19s).
-
Well it has forward swept wings, but they're at the middle rather than the back of the fighter. Looks like crap to me.
-
Yes, Harrison Ford is Indie. No Sean Connery will not be in it (unless his whole announcement was a fake to throw us off).
-
Shouldn't that be: Part One: The Shadowed Menace Part Two: Shadow Rising (aka Attack of the Shadow) Part Three: Revenge of the Shadow
-
The -22 can eject the gunpod for use in Battroid mode, David. Max does it when he does his "I have to do everything myself" attack run in Episode 44, and goes into battroid mode. LOL 1/1 LowViz Lurker, I'll never be able to look at the VF-1 or VF-0 the same way again... Pin and nutsack dangling in fighter mode.

Holy crap, I'm glad I got a Joons VF-1J back when I did, when you could still get them easily. These things make me glad I never found them when I was desperate for a VF-1 valkyrie back in the mid-90s (if that's from when those knockoffs are from).

I left a bunch of stuff in storage since I moved from France back to the US, and had a limit to how much stuff I could ship to my new address. I prioritized things by how much I treasured my stuff. My favorite Myth Cloths I brought with me in my luggage (the ones I cared for the most came in my backpack, customs didn't flip out or even make me take them out at the airport). I of course brought all my Yamato valks. I brought Aries Mu, Capricorn Shura, Pisces Aphrodite, Pope Shion, and Dragon Shiryu. My wife brought Gemini Saga and Wyvern Radamanthys. The rest, Taurus Aldebaran, Cancer Deathmask, Leo Aioria, Virgo Shaka, Scorpio Milo, Sagittarius Aiolos, Aquarius Camus, and the first release 5 Bronze Saints all stayed in France. I brought Dragon Shiryu v2's armor for the v3 Shiryu though. Never bought Libra Dohko because I've never really liked him or his Gold Cloth. Didn't get anything after the Gold Saints finished except for v3 Seiya and Shiryu. Although I have to admit being tempted by Garuda Aiacos, but I've got higher priorities for Myth Cloths and other toys. I'll go back and get them or ship them to where I'm living now, someday. I hate moving, and internationally is even worse. Argh.

Good art of the YF-19 and YF-21 are in the Macross Mecha Designs book that has everything up to M7 Dynamite. M0 designs are not in it. The YF-21 and VF-22 gunpods are not field-reloadable. No extra magazines like the YF-19 or VF-19 series. But the 21/22 has two gunpods that attach to the bottom of the YF-21 (I think?), and are in a internal compartment on the VF-22. I want a dark red VF-22. Or a black VF-22. It's one of the few times where I don't like the cyclops eye on a valkyrie (the 21) and prefer a different look. I like that visor.

I'd be afraid of the head laser or uni-boob poking my eye out, holding the 19 above my head and all. It is the kind of thing that would happen to me.
