You guys do realize that the VF-11 is about the same size as the VF-1. It's going to be close to the size of the 1/60 VF-1. Hopefully, it will also cost less than the more recent valkyries... I would buy repaints, most likely.

Worthless without gunpods.
-
I want that 1/60 Destroid Monster that Yamato was going to do way back when... I could use it as a foot-stool or something at my computer. And this is an old picture, for those of you who don't remember it or didn't see it before.
-
Avoid rubber for the wings. That stuff doesn't age well at all. I want my YF-21 to still be in excellent condition 10 years from now.

Damn, and here I was hoping the toy could shoot lasers...

Little do we know, the Yamato ninjas have gotten to graham because of that thread a week or two back of fake release dates. They were like: "SUPER SECRET NINJA TRICK!" *Graham gets tied up* "Yamato Ninja Red!" *does ninja pose* "Yamato Ninja Blue!" *does ninja pose* "Yamato Ninja Black!" *does ninja pose* "Yamato Ninja Yellow!" *bounce-bounce-bounce goes the kunoichi* "Yamato Ninja SALMON PINK!" *kunoichi has less bounce than Yellow* "TOGETHER WE ARE THE YAMATO NINJAS!" *In unison, doing sentai pose* And Graham was like: "W. T. F." ... Just another post in the replacement parts VF-0 thread.

I want some small scale, not too expensive, transformable non-VF-1 valklyries.

Macross 25th Anniversary and upcoming new TV series thread
Sumdumgai replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Damn that sucks, poor Mari! I hate socal traffic. No one ever uses their turn signal. Or they use it only when they're cutting in front of you and slamming their brakes. Then again, I'm glad I never had to drive in France. They're a bunch of f@cking maniacs! And they drive slow compared to the psychos in Germany, from what I've heard. I hope that Mari makes a quick recovery. -
I think that a lot of people felt the same way you do Vic Mancini, and that's why we got the VF-19A in Macross Digital Mission VFX, and the VF-19A Ravens scheme in VFX2.

I believe the blue and white 19 is one of the Project Supernova color schemes that Graham said was being considered as a 19 repaint. BUT, I could be remembering wrong, so don't get your hopes up because of me. Hell, I'd be tempted on it.

Only 19 from M7 I'd want is the 19P with a gunpod or shockpod. I don't like the stubby 19F/S, or the gaudy fire valkyrie. I wouldn't mind a 11C, 17D, or 5000...
-
Hey that's close to this custom model someone did (I forgot where I got this picture). Looks pretty good in white.
-
Not just "parts" would need to be changed. They'd have to entirely redo the 19 to do any of the M7 19s. At least the differences between the YF-21 and VF-22 are minimal and would only require modifications rather than starting over from scratch. I would like a non-cannon 19 paint scheme like this soviet 19, or this camo 19. I don't like the stealth scheme you can find in the magazine section of MW, but I think a different stealth scheme would be awesome (must have red nose sensor and visor).

As much as I love the VF-0, I'll have to say go with the 1/48 VF-1 series valkyrie. I'm one of the numerous people with a broken VF-0 shoulder (0A in particular), and it's definitely not in play-with condition anymore. I wouldn't take the risk with that much money if I were you. The VF-1 is a design that's been all ironed out and holds up fine. Just be careful not to force the backpack to lock into place. I have three 1/48 VF-1s. One has a broken backpack hinge from being overstressed from putting on and removing fast packs, despite my being careful.

Only EU stuff I find interesting is Knights of the Old Republic I and II, which could have been better (like if they hadn't rushed to get the games out). I've read the Republic Comics covering the end of the Clone Wars just to know what was going on. Left much to be desired. It was licensed American doujinshi as far as I'm concerned. Although I did like some of the characters.

I stopped reading the books. The most memorable for me was Luke going back to Hoth and having an army of wampas stalk him, led by the big, bad, angry one-armed super wampa that wants reveeeeenge... Yeah. I don't remember which books I read, but I know I stopped reading them for a reason.

I'll say it to get it out of the way, even though we haven't seen that part of the 21 yet: "Itz hanz. They ahr tu smahl." Now that I think about it. Graham had mentioined that Yamato went through a few different approaches on the YF-19. I'm curious to know if they've had a few different approaches to the YF-21. Like "fighter mode too fat", "legs too thin", "ack it will break".

Well other than repaints (VF-19A) the only valks that haven't been done from VFX2 are the VA-3 Invader, VF-11B (fast packs, and protect armor), VF-17, and the VF-22S. You can also count the Pheyo Zentraedi variable fighter, but I think it looks like ass. If they can do VFX1 stuff, VF-4G Lightning III. I don't really care for the VB-6 Koenig Monster, I never bought the 1/100 version and wouldn't care if they did a 1/60. I still want that 1/60 Monster they were working on way back when... Man, I just can't wait for more pics of the YF-21! I'm expecting more interesting things to aide in the transformation from Yamato. I sure wasn't expecting the collapsible leg parts in the 19, or the elbow joints.

Well to be honest there are some detail differences on the belly plates between the 21 and 22, not just panel lines, but the 22 has some extra mass for internal gunpod storage unlike the 21. It would probably require more than just replaceable belly plates, since I'd like to see the 22 really be able to internalize the gunpods in fighter mode. Have the gunpod bay doors open and close. That would be nice. It would also be practice for them to get the VF-17 right, with its special internally held collapsible gunpod. Heh, and we could get a red VF-17 from VFX2, even if it wouldn't be Miria's it's damned well close enough for me. But that's getting off the subject of the 21/22. A Ravens VF-22S would be so cool. Even though I will get a 21, I'd have to pick up a 22. I'm not waiting on the chance that they will, in case they don't.

Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone
Sumdumgai replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I like Utada's FMTTM. Not only I had that song stuck in my head, but my wife's as well. I do know what you guys mean though about the Beautiful World song. Then again there was Komm susser todd (or whatever it's called). So it isn't that far fetched of a song to use in the movie. Then again it really should have Cruel Angel's Thesis somewhere in the first movie... I'm still disappointed that the Cowboy Bebop movie didn't have the tv series opening theme in it somewhere, even in a remixed format. -
Magnets are the way of the future dante. In fact the next Yamato releases will hold together exclusively by magnets! No more screws! Just joking with everything after the winky smiley.
-
I say VF-19A Low Vis with blue nose sensors. Or VF-19A Stealth with red nose sensors. Yeah, the VF-19F/S/kai would all need a complete resculpt to do them. Besides Yamato not having the M7 license.
-
VF-11B before any other new valks. I am even going to have to say, VF-11B before a VF-4. Oh man, just thinking about the M+ 11B with fast packs... It's the only valkyrie I think looks really really good with fast packs and without. But, I'm there with you on wanting a VF-17 uxi. That and a Ravens VF-22S... Maybe Yamato could include an alternate canopy, alternate belly plates, and an alternate face to switch from 21 to 22. I doubt it though. And to be honest I'd rather have them be seperate releases so we can get appropriate tampo printing on them.

LOL I brought up this monstrosity in the YF-21 thread. Just remember, this is what could have been guys. I love my VF-0A to death, it's just the shoulders that bug me.

Be extremely careful and gentle applying and removing the fast packs. My advise is to either keep it with fast packs and don't remove them unless absolutely necessary. My VF-1J Miria backpack hinge (BP8) broke from me trying to re-apply the fast packs, despite my gentle handling and care in putting them on. I blame Gamlin. Or Exo.
