I would love to see the VF-1 line updated with a lot of the transformation methods used in the VF-0 and details from other releases (just not the brittle shoulders and arms of course ). With the move back to the 1/60 scale, the VF-1 needs a re-do eventually. Not necessarily immediately, but as long as the non-VF-1 schemes continue to come out, I wouldn't mind picking up a DYRL 1A Max and a Low Viz version 1 (don't make it limited edition this time! You know it will sell without it being limited, Yamato.). -Use a cockpit method like the YF-19, to allow for easy two-seaters. Make a pilot seat and have three different peg positions inside the cockpit. The middle position allows you to put in the pilot seat with pilot, and have a removeable equipment piece behind the pilot, just like the YF-19. This allows for the normal pilot position in a single seater. Then for a two-seater like the VF-1D or the VT-1/VE-1, pull out the equipment piece, move the pilot seat closer to the flat-screen display, and put the second pilot seat in the back. Change the canopy so the center band is over the pilot. This would allow for at least the VF-1D with the expense of a normal head change and different paint scheme. For the VT-1/VE-1, they would of course need to modify the wings, backpack, and tailfins, but it wouldn't be as costly as when they had to use a new nose area. Well, they would need modified or newly done fast packs too... This of course would be done in factory. Or they could just provide the alternate canopy and second seat. -Shoulders and arms that are tucked away in fighter mode for a cleaner look. One of the only things that bothered me with the 1/48, and I thought was excellent with the 1/60 VF-0. Could probably achieve it by thinning the arms and backpack a bit, as well as shortening the peg that holds the ball joint. -Make the canopy less bulbous. It never bothered me that much, but in comparison to the VF-0, YF-19, and SV-51, it looks a bit pudgy. -Shorten the nose and keep it solid. No removeable nosecone. -Use a method similar to the VF-0 to make the head more integrated in fighter mode, with those flaps. They could be changed depending on the model of head, and not that much extra to do as long as the base stays the same. -Have the head transformation to battroid work like the VF-0, less steps required. -Have the turbines in the feet remain one piece rather than split, like on the VF-0. -A peg in the hand for a more secure gunpod grip. -Alternate TV series clown hands, or fixed-pose hands, in case you hate the limp-wrist skeleton hands. -Possibly some fold out tabs that make side covers in battroid (not sure if it's feasible or practical). -Keep the arm and leg fast packs the way they were on the 1/48, no need for magnets. -Make the booster fastpacks attach to the backpack using a mixture of shallow pegs and strong magnets, so as to reduce the use of force when putting on or taking off the booster fast packs. -Use a latch system to hold the top of the backpack when in battroid, especially for use with fast packs, like the 1/48.

LIVE ACTION ROBOTECH (WB gets the rights)
Sumdumgai replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That's only if they pursue going with a Macross arc adaptation. They could just as easily go with Southern Cross or Mospeada. "Giant humanoid aliens with greenish tinted skin, singing, kissing, and culture shock? Who would go to see that? We'll go with that Moss story about a human rebellion. That always goes good, look at Star Wars. And we have to change things to piss off the old fans while we're at it. We wouldn't be a big hollywood company if we forgot to do that." -
I hope that if Yamato is redoing the 1/60 VF-1 that including the best of all that they've learned since the 1/48 VF-1, they have a pilot that isn't cut off at the knees and isn't feetless. I would hope that it uses a swingbar method similar to the VF-0 rather than the 1/48 VF-1 since I hate those damned pegs. I always need tweezers to get them out. And use the exact same materials as used on the 1/48 VF-1, and not on the 1/60 VF-0. No need for crumbly arms. Well if the Minmay figure turns out good, and they do a Misa, the next logical step would be Miria! Yeegads, Yamato let Graham spill the beans already, the "saturation, penetration" riddle is driving me crazy! Is it even a Macross item?

All of mine are pointed up and back at a very slight angle, except the 1J, which points up up up. So the VF-0A, VF-1As, VF-11 and YF-19 up and back, and the VF-1J straight up. They just look better that way to me.

Dambusters taking out the Death Star

Wow, that was pretty amusing to watch. Nice find! -
You don't have to be able to do anything to critique stuff. I mean most people can't make movies, most people can't write, draw, sing, play music, or even wipe their butts properly. This obviously wasn't wiped properly. It smells like butt. If anyone wants a VF-1 redesign, go look at the VF-0 or SW-XA1. At least those won't hurt your eyes.

LIVE ACTION ROBOTECH (WB gets the rights)
Sumdumgai replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
If what you fear is true zinjo, then ew. Although I kind of doubt that any big studoi/company would be willing to dump money into a legal battle over one third of an old series that might not make that much money when turned live-action. And, what Azrael said too in the next post. Regardless, I somehow doubt we'll be seeing lots of multi-colored hairdos in the movie. edit: oh yeah, I should drink more coffee -

BW and HG play ball, the day that happens is the day that zombies walk the face of the earth, and I don't mean stupid people. addition: No, drug addicts don't count as zombies, they get their own special category although they're almost there. -
Display Your Collections...

Nice collection of Gundam trading figures/gashapon. I seriously wish I had more room to display stuff with minimal amounts of dusting needed. -
For the love of god, and all that is holy! His anus is blee~d~ing!

The 22 is the only valk that I prefer having a visor in battroid mode over a cyclops eye. Besides I like the belly plates better, and the internally held gunpods.
-
I'm sure Graham will let us know what it is in due time, when Yamato gives Graham the okay. Besides still need more YF-21 pictures.
-
Alright, with Grahams revealing that the M7 and VFX2 license being unclear at the moment, I think it's safe to say that Grahams last signature wasn't referring to anything from VFX2. Therefore: -No VFX2repaints: No VF-19A -No VA-3M -No VF-17 -No VF-22 (although I can still hope Yamato will do a VF-22 somehow, even if it's releasing the 21 with alternate parts) -No VB-6 Koenig Monster re-do (not that I would get one) -No VF-5000 (VFX2 international edition or whatever it was call) -No Macross 13 So my guess is back to a re-do of the 1/60 VF-1.

Spaceworms make wormholes or blackholes. Makes sense, sort of, not really. I really hope that they do something good with this, and not make it the super sentai vs monster of the day kind of thing.
-
If there are huge bioweapons, then I hope that weapons (reaction weaponry in particular) have some effect. Unlike the attempt at nuking the spacewhale.
-
Oh crap the situation with the VFX2 license is unclear right now? Damn, that's not good news, since that was a way to get the 17 and 22, plus the Ravens paint schemes. I hope the situation gets cleared up in a good way soon. Aaaand, that we get to see new stuff about that YF-21. Can't wait to see that sleekness we've been teased with.

From what I was reading, Lucasfilms wanted some changes made to what MR was doing with the X-wing. The factory in China couldn't retool in the amount of time needed, so they dropped it.

Well I'm glad I didn't try going for a job at Geneon, now that I think about it.

Sqidd that's awesome man. Enjoy it and take pride that you can do it. Nice looking neighborhood too. I'm not a car person, but I have to say "nice car!" I like the color.

Just avoid Hobbysearch. HLJ are godly compared to those asshats. Sent my Q-rau to the wrong address and wouldn't resend it when it got sent back to them, nor would they give me a refund, they just stopped replying to my emails. HLJ just takes forever to process and ship.
-
And the 1/60 Monster.
-
Those Space Monsters could be Supervision Army Bioweapons, like weaker more controllable versions of the Evil series. Or they could just be the zerg sucked into the Macross Universe through the black hole that the Megaroad 01 got sucked into. Megaroad 01 goes in, the zerg get pooped out the other side. I'm joking about the zerg.

Sorry I have no clue. I only had the normal MGS3, French release at that (although it still had the English dub audio track, and English subtitles.). I haven't played it since sometime last year...

Watch the transformation videos, don't force anything (particularly the backpack), be careful of the head laser especially while transformation to battroid, and remember that the heatshield can pop out of its rail (but you can put it back in). I wrote a step by step transformation for you, but my account logged out when I tried to post it and the computer ate it (and for some reason it didn't copy when I selected the whole thing and hit ctrl-c). It's more complicated to transform than the old 1/55 chunky-monkey, but you'll learn it pretty fast! It's a pretty solid design.

The bootleg VF-19S Blazer has the same wings as the Fire Valkyrie. The real one is supposed to have those stubby wings that the 19F/S normally have (the wingroot, or whatever you call it is larger).
