While I haven't seen it in person, from what I've seen in photos it looks good. I've liked Shun less ever since his old seiyuu was replaced with that new one who's voice grates on my nerves to the point that my ears bleed and I begin shivering when I hear him. He's so damned whiny and pathetic sounding! The figure looks good though, both with the red hair and the black hair. The soft good clothes look decent. One plus is that it is Hades, thus he has Otsuka Akio's voice come to my mind (Naked/Solid/Old Snake, Jine Udo, Batou). I think it's so awesome that they got him to do a voice in the series, and Hades himself no less. I've skipped on it and have no plans to pick him up because as good as he looks, he's not that cool for me. Now, once the series is done being animated, if they make full adult Hades with his Kamui, then I'm picking him up. Just as I'll have to pick up Athena, especially if she comes with her Kamui.

We all knew which was Hikaru swung, it was clear when Roy, Max, and Kakizaki interrogated him after being stuck with Minmay and he didn't try to slip into the sack with her.

Dragon Ball movie rescued from dev hell?
Sumdumgai replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Live action Ranma! Oh god how it would be neutered. Besides I doubt they could find anyone hot enough to play girl-type Ranma, who would be able to do the choreography for the fight scenes and act. Might as well do Gall Force, live action. It's basically Alien anyway. -

I could easily see the Director/Actor from Kung Fu Hustle playing Yamcha. I can't remember his name right now, shame on me! -
VF-4 Lighting III, Ghost X9 and YF-21... When?
Sumdumgai replied to Isamu test pilot's topic in Toys
VF-4/VF-4G Lightning III- not announced but I'm hoping they'll do one. Ghost X-9 - not announced, I personally don't care if they do one. YF-21 - I believe first quarter 2008. We have nothing but CAD designs in fighter and battroid from online pics and magazine articles. We are all waiting to see a prototype. -
I wish that CMs Corporation had included a helmet just to have, even if he couldn't wear it. I find the toy transformation to be a genius design. I just get scared s**tless every time I transform the gullet area. The joint has some really big stress marks. It's super easy to transform now, but I keep fearing it'll break.

Yikes if it were an energy field, thing of what would happen if the generator or whatever got shorted out. Instant city decompression.

Figure out a way to shoulder mount the fold boosters. FOLD BOOSTER CANNON ENGAGE!

Sorry ruskiiVFaussie, it's been out for so long I forget that a lot of members did like me and took forever to getting around to watching it. It took me years to finally sit down and watch it. Sorry again!

It was the sword thrown at him by a tart in the lake. I'm just glad they dropped their original 25th Anniversary paint scheme. It was like Angel Birds gone horribly wrong.

My post was more into responding to BeterHans. I interpreted his post as meaning : "You're only hating it because it's Robotech, you would like it if it was called Macross instead. Rather than critiquing it, do something to make it look better and help them." A long time ago I loved Robotech. Things changed, for lots of reasons, and I wound up hating Robotech. So my reply was meant to say: "I hate it period. There would be no need to do such a fanwork if HG provided their Robotech fans with new stories. And I've seen a lot of Robotech fans attempt to adapt Macross Plus valkyries into the Robotech universe because they're lacking in new material. Macross does not need a redo. Doing what Beterhans suggested and changing superficial things like title, music, and language will not help the appearance of this fan work." My bringing up the licensing was part of my argument because there is quite a difference between Robotech and original Macross, and what HG and Big West have provided for their respective fans. HG left Robotech fans wanting. They got a video release of Robotech II: The Sentinels. Then skip a decade or so and they get Shadow Chronicles. In that time frame Robotech fans didn't get much and were left craving more, hence the bigger need to do fan works. With Big West and Macross, there's been a rather steady supply of Macross over the years with sequels, sidestories, backstories and all that good stuff. I am critical of their redesigned VF-1s (and other mecha) not because it is not Kawamori but because they are ugly. While I may dislike the valkyries in Macross II, they still looked aerodynamic and looked like they could be either a redesign or an evolution of the VF-1. This Genesis VF-1 looked like a combination of legos and corrugated sheet metal. I stopped going to the Macross World Fanworks section since activity there was low. If they redesigned everything again to look good and improved their computer animation I'd say : "great job, looks good, go you guys." Until then for me it's passionately done meh. They should keep it up though. They may look bad now, but with experience they'll get it looking better. I know you never start out great at this kind of stuff, and you have to work your way to being good. But, I'm not going to throw out praise about it looking good unless it looks good. And, yes, that the association with Robotech is possibly adding a bit of influence into judging it a bit harsher. I won't deny that, it's quite likely, although not consciously done.

Why would a Macross fan who is no longer a fan of Robotech want to contribute to a fan made thing redoing a hack series because HG neglected it? And, don't adapt the valkyries from the Macross sequels into Robotech, please, it's just disgustingly wrong. If HG can't provide Robotech fans with original new mecha, don't go continuing HG's butchery legacy by hacking other Macross things into the Robotech universe. Macross doesn't need a "Macross Genesis". For a retelling of Macross we have Do You Remember Love. Changing the music and audio still won't help the visuals (like the corrugated sheet-metal veritechs). My valkyries don't have toes to play with. Maybe that's what their veritechs need. Toes to play with... or... missile toes! Then we could make Christmas jokes!

I had a tad bit of difficulty at first attaching my fast packs to the YF-19, and was getting quite irritated with it. After I got used to how my 19 handles, I realized that mine is a temperamental B**CH at times. Mine has a loose above-the-knee swivel on the left leg, the left shoulder likes to pop up a bit in fighter (the right side can go pretty flush), and the left wing doesn't lock securely into the wingroot for battroid... Now that I think about it all the problems are on the left side... Hmmmm... The method I use to go at putting on the fast packs is to first choose a side to focus on first. Then I make sure the legs are set in the correct position. Third, I put on the shoulder fast pack and secure it to the leg. Fourth, I put on the magnetic leg fast pack, and swivel the wing root back into place and firmly push the tab into the slot on the fast pack. Now that one side is pretty secure and firmly attached, I do the exact same method on the other side and it attaches pretty firmly and securely. In fact, I find that my 19 holds together better WITH the fast packs than without. Contrary to what other members have reported with theirs. Go figure. Fold Booster is fighter only, although I haven't tried taking it off the mounts and having the 19 cradle it in battroid. The only time I can recall seeing a valkyrie use a fold booster out of fighter mode was in Macross 7 Dynamite, when someone used one in battroid mode and cradled it under the arm. Personally I think the fast packs look best on the fighter in battroid, because it makes it look more massive and less "anorexic" as some have said. In fighter mode it looks kind of chunky with fast packs. At least to me it does.

I have to disagree, for me VFX2, minus the underwater level, was pure awesome. Some BS with taking on multiple Ghost X-9s at the end of the game, but still awesome. I did like the VA-3s dual machine gun capabilities though. Nothing beat the VF-17 with battroid mode gunpod attachment though (like Gamlin). addition: response to noyhauser: I killed myself with the Nuke once I think... I was too close to the ship I was trying to nuke.

Minos is a sick degenerate who likes to inflict pain. I like him and hate him. Without the Surplice on Aiocos is very thin, but then again so are all the other ones. But he is particularly thin, probably looks worse because he's pretty tall.

I hated that level, and I hated the VA-3 being forced on me for that level. I wanted to fly the VF-4G again, not that ugly monstrosity that is the VA-3.

Red visor is a must on a black 19. I like the white stripes. I think grey would look cool too.

Congrats Scream Man! Shion is one of my favorite characters, ever since I got introduced to Saint Seiya through the Hades Arc Sanctuary Chapter. I couldn't wait for him to be released as a Myth Cloth once they started taking off. I think that Aiacos is the best of the three Judges for facial sculpt and appearance. Radamanthys is the first Specter they did, and I find that he doesn't look as great as the later face sculpts (the appendix fixes that). I think the Minos Myth Cloth looks a bit fatty-faced, but it could just be an impression.

Add to the exceptions the VF-4, VF-11, VF-17, and VF-5000. They're small too. The Macross Compendium doesn't list size for the VF-3000, VF-9, or VF-14. The VA-3 is pretty large, and well... The Koenig Monster is a monster.

I hate when the postman doesn't bother to deliver and just leaves the "failed to deliver" notice when someone is home. Or worse yet, when he leaves it in front of my door without knocking. I live in an apartment complex for crying out loud. I've been lucky enough to not have someone walk off with my package yet. YET.

Well I'd like to point out that there were a lot of members here on MW screaming bloody murder at the thought of 1/48 M+ valkyries. "Way too big!" was what they said. I wouldn't have minded, and still don't. But, now that Yamato is ditching 1/48, and establishing 1/60 as the scale they'll be doing things in, go 1/60!

Gamlin sucked the piloting potential out of all the other pilots. He just bled it off of them.
-
Once you pulled out the landing gear, did you cant them outwards? The should fold out a little bit. Unless you've got a non-FP 19 as PsYcHoDyNaMiX mentioned.

I hate putting models together, I never get them right. I just don't have the patience for it. Besides I like to play with my stuff, and models aren't very play friendly.

Personally I think gerwalk is its weakest appearance. Battroid and Fighter are pure awesome, its gerwalk is just... meh.
