It would be interesting to see Papillon Miyu as a Myth Cloth. He's so damned thin even with his Surplice on, he'd be a skeleton without it. Plus the whole bug-eye thing. He was an interesting looking character.

Niiice. I have to pick up Aiacos some day. All I have to do now is wait for Ophiucus Shaina, Eagle Marine, Surplice Capricorn Shura, and I'm done with the main figures. Might pick up a Surplice Pisces Aphrodite, Aquarius Camus, Cancer Deathmask if they make them. Surplice Gemini Saga is a certainty that my wife will pick up.

Oh yeah, 1/60 VF-0A CF. I loved this baby until the shoulders exploded. Now, I am not a happy camper. Hell, I hated waited some months before getting it just to make sure there were no problems. Then a little while after I get it, people's shoulders started going kaput.

I second Lord of Tetris' suggestion.

Who is the best pilot in Macross universe
Sumdumgai replied to Isamu test pilot's topic in Movies and TV Series
Oh wow, I never noticed the other hand. Thanks for pointing that out! Ah, it's too bad we didn't know what the checks were. Yeah, according to the graph the 19 is beating the 21. -
Who is the best pilot in Macross universe
Sumdumgai replied to Isamu test pilot's topic in Movies and TV Series
The bar graphs we saw showed that the YF-19 was getting better results, and some worse results, with ups and downs all over the scale. The YF-21 was much more evenly distributed. As for the 21's arm breaking. It was two arms against one single arm. It would be interesting to see how the 19 would hold up one arm against two. Everyone favors one or the other, and if I'm not mistaken we've had countless discussions about the 19 and 21, over and over again. While I love the 19, the 21 seems so much more functional to me in how it can take damage and keep going. I just wish we could have seen how Guld flew in a conventional control valkyrie to get an idea of how skilled he was without BDI and BCS. And as JBO has pointed out, the pure amount of information directly available to the pilot thanks to the BDI system is truly awesome. addition: I can't remember, but does anyone recall if there were labels on the graphs? -
I swear you guys must be getting the mods saying at their computers "MOD SENSES TINGLING!"

Toynami 1/55 MPC Veritech, Toynami 1/100 VF-1 veritech/valkyrie, Toynami VF-1 morphers. I don't like the banpresto VF-1 that much either.

-Fourth to question about possibility of VF-4. -Possibility of a 1/60 VF-1 redo with a cockpit structure like the YF-19 for easy factory or custom conversion to a two-seater without having to retool for the VF-1D, just replace with a new canopy for lineart accuracy on two-seaters (and minimal work for a VT/VE-1). -Permission to show us the pics of YF-19 rejected prototypes, since you mentioned you have pics. -question possibility of a VF-22. -If VF-22 = NO, Suggest they include with the YF-21 the VF-22 faceplate and alternate canopy, plus alternate VF-22 belly-plate covers for an easy VF-22 conversion (it's just one more step than what they were going to do with the 1/72 YF-21 FP, including faceplate and canopy). -status on the decision of the Dobber Scheme SV-51. -permission to release details and status of the Minmay figure -what are they doing about QC? addition: Thank you very much Graham for doing this for us! You rock!

I like the idea of this mod.

Who is the best pilot in Macross universe

I think what gave Guld the edge on the X-9 was the YF-21 more than it was skill. The BCS allows for faster reaction time by eliminating the need for a manual control that'll take that much longer than a direct mental connection to the valkyrie. The YF-21 could keep on flying without limbs. Guld could keep on flying without eyes thanks to the BDI system. Isamu would never have been able to take down the X-9 in the YF-19 due to the conventional controls and no BDI system. Neither of the two pilots even came close to touching the X-9 with their weapons systems. It came down to ramming, and the YF-21 was the only one capable to allowing a pilot to ram the X-9 (I am going with the movie version on this, since that's the story that Kawamori originally intended). Yeah, ruskiiVFaussie, I was under the same impression as you. That the problems came from the zentraedi aggression. I also think that on top of that he probably had some mental problems, but can't exactly explore that possibility much since we don't know much about his past other than the incident and that he, Myung, and Isamu used to be friends. Miria looks great decades after the original series, and after how many kids? I like Miria lots. -
MKII Destroid Monster? Or VB-6 Koenig Monster? Yamato's the only deal, as far as I know, for the Koenig Monster. If it's a Destroid Monster I think you may be out of luck. There's the old takatoku 1/240 Destroid Monster.

I think paramount doesn't want ole George going all Darth Sidious on them.

If Kirk had the bridge filled with bridge bunnies, they'd be constantly knocked up.

Who is the best pilot in Macross universe
Sumdumgai replied to Isamu test pilot's topic in Movies and TV Series
Okay with voting now. Best pilot = Max Favorite Pilot = Emilia It was hard choosing favorite pilot. Max is awesome. Miria is hot. But, Emilia is hotter than Miria, therefore she is my favorite pilot. Max and Miria go together afterwards as a couple. -
In Voyager I liked the Doctor and that was more or less it. I liked Tuvok's actor because he liked to joke around and screw around a lot on set.

Pegg as Scotty is going to be interesting. I mean the difference between Shaun and Nicholas Angel... Two completely different people. Eric Bana in the movie as a villain. I'm really starting to look forward to this movie.

Ooooh, I get it! Graham was on Iron Chef as one of the judges on the tasting panel, and he was hinting at the dishes!

Some shots in the dark: 1/60 VF-11B Thunderbolt = Beauty 1/60 Armored Thunderbolt/protect armor = Beast -no armor in M+, so unlikely Between greatness=1/48 and a joke=1/100 (take apart VF-0 was a JOKE of a transforming toy) he saw perfection=1/60, the bastards=1/60 VF-1 redo. -maybe Between greatness=Minmay and a joke=Basara, he saw perfection=Sharon - a figure of Sharon maybe? Not likely. Argh, I dunno, I just keep coming back to Graham's riddle signatures, I can't help it. I wonder if they're even Macross related.

I just consider Gamlin's haircut to be a Wolverine attempt, or like Okina in RK.
-
Ouch, that sucks, miriya. Nice pose though. The pics where the heatshield is missing kind of makes me think that the VF-0A is tearing open its belly and chest to show its organs (the cockpit and lack of pilot).

Terminator Salvation, colon, Really Long Movie Title
Sumdumgai replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
"Stop killing Judas!" "But he will betray you." "I know that! Look I got a lot on my mind and you're really stressing me out!" The first version of Terminator 3 from madTV. That one had me laughing. -
The VF-4G, as mikeszekely said, is an updated version of the VF-4, much like the VF-1X in use during 2047. Kawamori didn't finish the VF-4 design for battroid until Macross Digital Mission VFX (VFX2 is so much better, it's not only playable, it's fun!).

I like Gamlin too. I felt sorry for him having feelings for the rather flighty, air-headed Mylene.
