Well, I've read that based upon what was seen at one of the toy shows of the toys for the new movie (no pictures allowed), the "fleet" skirts are pretty damned short. Maybe even shorter than in the original series. That'll be interesting to see how the "fleet" uniforms turn out.

Awesome link Scream Man! I need to get that Kiki if he gets released, even if he's just a fixed posed figure. I've always liked that kid, he's awesome. That plain clothes Mu looks pretty good too. I need to get Scylla Io, he looks kick ass. Surplice Capricorn Shura I MUST GET!

Some people are into transforming mecha, some people are into non-transforming mecha, some people are into fixed pose figures, and others are into dolls. Some are mixes or all of the above. Unfortunately I know of what BoB referenced in the post that shocked Shaorin, it's not just an overactive imagination, sometimes you really don't want to wander around figure review sites when you can't read Japanese...

From now on, sumdumgai recommends that everyone reads MW toy section news while sitting on the pot, to avoid frequent pants washings. It would suck if Bandai made a VF-25, and a VF-25 w/armor that you can't take off.

pics from the shoot at Cal State Northridge Aint it cool news has pics from the shoot at Cal State Northridge. Pretty interesting. I like the starfleet symbol cut out of the blue plastic sheets attached to the lightpoles. I love the red uniforms too.

I'm not really digging the music in the newest CM. Something about it just rubs me the wrong way. -
That was good for a laugh.

Give me a good looking static pvc figure of a character any day, over an oversized doll with lots of ugly joints, cloth clothes that don't look right, and hair that can't properly emulate the character's hairstyle. That internal skeleton for the figure is interesting.
-
Oh nose! The figure was completely deformed! Interesting news in any case.

Sylia huh, not bad, but I never liked her or her hardsuit. Linna on the other hand...

I'm sold on a VF-4, VF-11, VF-14, and VF-22. But they'd have to be well done and very affordable.

The CMs Corporation Minmay collection Minmays look a lot better than this doll, without unsightly joints, and at a sliver of the cost. I hope they do a fixed pose figure sometime, like their Tandem Twin Animal Girls series, or like Megahouse's Excellent Model Core series.

I'm betting that Cromartie let Agent Ellison live because he has something to do with the creation of skynet. Alternatively, he analyzed the situation and found the threat factor to be 0%, like in the first episode when he passed the police to get into the bank. Ellison was at "brown trousers" moment. I thought it was always that the T-800 series is the endoskeleton designation, and "model 101" is the outer appearance that looks like Arnold teh governator. So Cromartie would be a T-888 model-???, as that other one that Cameron destroyed was a T-888 model-??? (not the same as Cromartie).

Naw, I think he means BGC 2043 by "new". Everybody looks different, everything is clean and bright and shiny, and the hard suits are designed differently.

Official 1/60 YF-21 News & Picture Thread (ver.2)
Sumdumgai replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'm not 100% percent sure. The VA-3 has engines in the wingroots area, and it's creation was prior to the YF-21. Dunno about the other valkyries we haven't seen yet either, like the VF-16. Not entirely certain on the VB-6 Koenig Monster either, since it has thruster ports all over the back. I'm loving what I see of the YF-21 toy, more and more. -

In addition to what Mr. March and Zinjo posted. The VF-171 could be primarily a colony fleet primary valkyrie, much like the VF-14 was heavily used in colony fleets (particularly fleets with lots of zentraedi). If it's weapons payload is like the VF-17, you've got a gunpod, multiple lasers to use in any mode, internal missile launchers, and the 171 also has missile hardpoints for extra firepower. It may even have the ability to use that beam-cannon accesory that Gamlin was so fond of blasting "grin man" with (forgot the name of "Mr beauty"). As the standard cannon fodder fighter, assuming it has the same weapons as the 17, it has a lot more firepower than the VF-11 had (gunpod, headlaser), and is able to use more weapons in more modes than the 19 (just try using the forward aimed lasers in gerwalk or battroid). Also there could be the problem of pilots not being able to handle something as powerful as the 19. I'm sure they ironed out a lot of problems before it went into production, but don't forget that they lost a LOT of test pilots to the YF-19. It wouldn't be Max and Mirias flying the VF-19 cannon fodders, it would be standard pilots. Just dont call me "brother Sum", Mr. March. My teeth aren't bad like that. Yes, Kung Fu Hustle reference. I love that movie. -
Yeah, BGC 2043 or whatever it's called was meh. The original was great. I didn't like how everything was clean, sleek, and bright in the updated tv series. Plus the original had Kenichi Sonoda charcter designs.

It could very well be that the VF-171s are the cheaper alternative to the VF-19s and VF-22s. Do some tweaks to the design to make the 17 more efficient and less costly, and you have a nice frontline fighter for colony fleets. The 171 might not be up to par with a 19 or 22, but if its cheaper and does it's job better than the 11s, why not? Of course this is all just guessing. It makes sense to go with a proven design if you can upgrade it. -
Famous Japanese swords: VF-25 Masamune VF-25 Murasame VF-25 Osafune VF-25 Kikuichimonji VF-25 Norimune Mythical swords VF-25 Kusanagi (the sword of Susanoo in Japanese mythology) VF-25 Durendal (the unbreakable sword of Roland from one of the oldest pieces of French Literature "La Chanson de Roland") VF-25 Gram/Balmung/Normung (the sword of Siegfried in Norse mythology)

Interesting... So I guess Athena in her dress with alternate Greek dress. Now the big question. Will she have the Nike staff and shield, and will they be die cast?

The first episodes of the Elysion chapters of the anime is out in Japan now.

VF-25 Breast Fighter (homage to the original design idea) VF-25 Crusader II (successor to the VF-3000 name) VF-25 Sabre VF-25 Cauchemar (French for "nightmare") VF-25 Brief Fighter VF-25 Reaper VF-25 Kamikaze (as in reference to the divine wind that stopped the Mongols from invading Japan, not flying suicide bombers) Oh yeah, I liked that suggestion of "VF-25 Pegasus"

Federation Vs Klingon/Romulans & Other
Sumdumgai replied to Roy Focker's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Some Klingon was probably smoking their equivalent of weed near the dilithium crystals and dropped something on them that caused a splodey chain reaction. It was their moon in ST:VI. Yeah, I'd like to be around during Kirk, Spock, and Mccoy's era.
