Could Sharon Apple have used SA tech to hypnotize Earth?

Interesting theory. -
Awesome custom!

What's with the lolicon in Frontier?
Sumdumgai replied to jollyreaper's topic in Movies and TV Series
Might I add that Macross is brought to you by the people that created the characters: Warera Rori Konda. That should say everything. And I think that this show is aimed primarily at teenagers, with a strong pulling of us old timers. Considering the touchy explosive subject matter, my thread lock sense is tingling. -
Why Alto must hook up with Sheryl *spoilers*
Sumdumgai replied to ssfsx17's topic in Movies and TV Series
Well Alto might not end up with anyone if Ranka decides to make him a pineapple salad, since pineapple cake is for Ozma... -
Before transforming the 1/60 YF-19 watch a few transformation walkthroughs on youtube, in particular pay attention to how to "break the neck" of it to transform it into battroid. It's a scary process the first few times through. After you understand what movements and how far to move parts, it gets easy. Addition: Glad to be of help Bowen. With the amount of money involved in getting these toys, getting as much info as possible to make a decision is always a good thing.

Please no art of this one.

Certainly looks like a 1/60 VF-1J, judging from the "neck" sticking out of the chest. Nice find Chowyunskinny!

While it would be awesome if CM's corporation made Macross Frontier figures, I kind of doubt that they will since Bandai has Frontier. And I've liked very few of Bandai's trading figures (some exceptions to that).

We don't see it because it's not shown, but when the camera cuts away from her, she activates her valkyrie backpack and takes off flying for where she needs to get to. Her early warning detection system goes off when it detects that the camera will come back to her, and she lands and continues to run.

Yeah the otaku probably would have peed himself and fainted. Or run off with the camera so he has extra pictures. I'm interested in seeing eventual pics.

Macross Frontier Episode 17 Talkback Thread *READ 1st Post*
Sumdumgai replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
As in Hikaru taking out a zentraedi that was heading towards the bridge of the Macross, and comes out of the explosion in battroid mode, facing the bridge. -

Gotcha Mr March, just wanted some clarification since it sounded like people were discussing reaction weapons as if they were radiationless. -

Yeah, but when was it ever mentioned that reaction warheads don't give off radiation post-2011 (as in after Macross Zero in the Macross timeline)? It sure seems like they're more powerful nuclear weapons, especially after reading the compendium entry. -
Newbie ANSWERS thread!
Sumdumgai replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
The VF-0 series (0A and 0S) should be avoided unless it is the VF-0S w/ghost booster combo. The VF-0A Shin w/ghost booster is supposedly hit and miss, some have fixes some don't. The VF-0 is a beautiful valkyrie, and was one of my favorite Yamato releases, up until my VF-0A's shoulders crumbled. And I refuse to spend money on replacement arms. The YF-19 on it's own, has an issue of crooked gunpod storing under fighter mode, and the rear landing gear doesn't cant outwards. The YF-19 w/Fast Packs and Fold Booster has these fixed. I don't know if any newer runs of the stand-alone YF-19 have these fixes or not. I love my YF-19. Just take care in transforming the neck portion. The first transformation is scary, but once you get the hang of it it's a breeze. It helps to watch some of the transformation guides on youtube. The SV-51 Ivanov I believe had some issues of reversed wing joints, which was fixed on the Nora and Cannon-Fodder versions. Other than that, the SV-51 seems to be good in the qualitcontrol department. The YF-21 has had glowing reviews, and I haven't read about any catastrophic problems. It's still to early to tell on the 1/60 VF-1 series. Things are looking good. In the thread on whether the VF-1s are good or have breakages, we've had only one person step forward to describe the problems. Other people have voted, yet didn't detail what the problems were, leading some people to believe that those votes were BS. A 1/60 scale VF-11 Thunderbolt is in the works, though we have no pictures or details yet. -
Woah, that's one hell of a wonky VF-19. The wings are HUGE, and the back is squashed, with enormous shoulders, and massive stubby legs. I kind of doubt we'll see any new updated Macross 7 stuff from Bandai. M7 came and went. Now is the time of Frontier.

Err, in Macross Zero Shin says that the the radiation from the reaction warheads would reach the Mayan islands. And he uses the same word as in Macross Frontier. When was it stated that reaction weaponry doesn't have radiation? I remember reading that they called it "reaction weaponry" so as to avoid calling it "nuclear weaponry", which was kind of taboo to have the good guys use. -
Mmmmmmmm, VF-22 Sturmvogel II.
-
Doesn't look as good as I was expecting. She also looks like she'll be a leaner.
-
Well Bandai had the M7 license "sewn up tighter than a fly's ass". I don't think there'd be much money to be made on the Fire Bomber valkyries. Honestly how many people would buy the VF-19kai, the VF-17kai, the VF-11MAXLkai? And before anyone says anything about modifying the mold for the YF-19, the VF-19kai would require starting over from scratch because of how the details of the shapes are completely different, a modification would never work. A VF-17 on the other hand... Be it from Macross 7, or Macross VFX2, I'm sure a lot of people would buy those up, including variants.
-
Well the katakana in the product information says "collection card". Plus there's the whole "10 card in 1 pack, Box set of 15 packs".
-
Bandai owns Megahouse though, don't they? I'm going with the wait and see approach, because the 1/60 VF-25 looks chunky and has wonky proportions from what we've seen. I don't have enough faith in their design team to plunk down my money without having seen anything. Just as I don't have enough faith in Yamato's first runs to put down money (though they have improved in my eyes).

Q-rea Klan Klan is a no brainer. A VF-25 Sheryl sounds fantastic! Ranka as a Koenig Monster or Vajra works for me too.
-
I'm a bit worried about the t-bar hatch transformation part. I wonder why they changed it. Other than the pegs, the 1/48 worked fine. And I really liked how the 1/60 VF-0 had removed the problem of fishing those pegs out.
