Ah, so the fin does fold in and there is a joint for the nose to slide along. I thought that was the case, but wasn't sure what with the sinking cockpit and there not being much space for the fin and cockpit... Hot damn I want a VF-4. Aw hell, I might just get one even if it is a partsformer. I'll just leave it in fighter mode. And as a partsformer, it better look damned good in fighter and battroid.

There's a diagram that shows the transformation in the Macross Design Works. But it's not as detailed as on the VF-1, Macross Plus valkyries, and Macross 7 valkyries.

Found the holding pin that popped out and stuck everything back together with the help of some needlenose pliers. I swear yesterday was not my day at handling valkyries!

From the sounds of the plans of the VF-25, it would probably be simpler for them to just detach the legs from battroid and plug in some fighter-mode only belly plates, that way you get a nice sleek fighter mode without having to worry about fitting legs into a tiny space. Same thing for the arms.

I like seeing the NUNS pilot suits. They look much better than the ones in Macross 7. I'm going to laugh until I throw up if it turns out that in the end we discover that Brera is an AI with some bits of Ranka's brother's memories, and it turns out that Ranka's brother is actually Sheryl who was reconstructed as a girl after being saved from the remnants of the 117th research fleet. It's not like this would be the first time that something like this has happened in a Kawamori work... That's why back in episode 7, Ranka says she knows Sheryl.

My YF-21 developed a problem with one of its legs. The ratchet knee-joint stopped being a ratchet joint and was just smoothly moving around (making in unstable to use to make the YF-21 stand). Be happy if you never have to take apart the legs of the YF-21, had to pry off the screw covers and dismantle the entire leg to get at the ratchet. It's only partially fixed now, but the important part is to keep pressure on the sides of the knee when you reassemble it, or else the disc that's key to the ratchet joint might slip and you go back to square one.

I only wanted one VF-0 for certain and that was the VF-0A, which I got before the news of cracked shoulders came up, and the shoulders disintegrated. I am not buying anymore VF-0s, unless a VF-0D comes out. It's too bad we can't get free replacement arms, because I'm not paying money to fix what shouldn't be broke. It's a VF-19A Excalibur, HLJ got the designation wrong. It's a nice alternate color scheme for the 19.

Well Yamato listened to the fans, who thought that parts-former transformation sucked. So they went 1/60 and made it perfect transformation and made it look damned good. The QC/engineering problem is the dark side of the VF-0. I'm interested in seeing how Bandai approaches the VF-0 in 1/100.

Bandai has the Macross Frontier license sewn up tighter than a fly's ass. Much like the Macross 7 license.

Sivil had an effect on zentraedi, but it seemed to be a proximity effect and not all zentraedi were affected the same way. I don't blame Exedol for being scared into the brown trousers state, considering that just one protodevlin wiped out an ENTIRE FLEET of zentraedi on its own. Yeah, I'd be rather unsure of the Macross 7 fleet being able to take on something like that and being on the flagship when it happens.

The death of the SDF-4 Global was pretty sad. Never pretty to see a Macross type of ship go.
