  1. You are correct Radd! He does wear a helmet. We've seen it multiple times. Which made me wonder about how the hell he was playing that harmonica...
  2. You guys are forgetting something. This is if Yamato made them. Bandai still has control over the Macross 7 license and Macross Frontier license. Therefore, no VF-19F/S/Kai/P, no VF-11C/D,MAXLkai, no VF-17 (unless it's the VFX2 version), no VF-25, no VF-27, no VF-171.
  3. Ah sorry about that. It does have arms, it's just in armless gerwalk mode, where the arms stay in place, like Isamu does with the YF-19 in the last episode of Macross Plus. I think it was done in SDF Macross as well, but I can't remember.
  4. Well that scene probably did make it into the show, but as Ozma's VF-25 with armored packs. Looks just like the transformation sequence in the asteroid field while he's hunting the red lobster. Or... Sheryl will get a VF-25. (joking)
  5. One color scheme I would be interested in is the plain white and black scheme on the VF-25 used as the VF-0 stand-in for the Macross Zero movie. I liked that much better than the baby-poop cannon-fodder brown... Not that I expect Bandai to even release a CF color scheme VF-25, much less a white-and-black scheme valk used in one episode.
  6. Sharon is in the lower-left corner. As for Myung, she sang only one song in the series. Twice for the OVA, once for the movie. Sharon was the singer in Macross Plus.
  7. What I say to all this is: Kadun! Seriously that's what those things that the Vajra drop, like chaff and flares, look like. Those tentacly things. It's probably all linked to everything in the series. We'll wait and see.
  8. Was watching DYRL recently and it felt sluggish during the battles, which surprised me. I still enjoyed it, but I've been rather spoiled with Frontier.
  9. For revised proposal, yes, I would be interested. If Yamato can visit other VFs, besides the VF-1, in particular some of the ones that haven't really seen a toy yet. VF-4, VF-5000, VF-14. Take advantage of the VFX2 license and give us a VF-17. Although I'm not keen on the VF-9, I'm sure there are a number of people who would love to get one of those. Hell, the VF-0D would be nice as a fighter. If Yamato could do the SW-XAI and SW-XAII in fighter mode, I'd definitely bite on those. An important thing would also be the ability to mount and remove the gunpod(s), if they have mounted gunpods. The VF-17, VF-22, and ones that either have internally stored gunpods or no mounted gunpods, it wouldn't matter.
  10. Doesn't sound like Kamiya Akira is doing Focker's voice from the commercials. That's a shame. I wonder if its because he's retired, was too busy, or if he wouldn't be paid enough.
  11. YF-21 arrived by EMS within around a week.
  12. Before Bandai's announcement of the 1/100 line I would have been more excited at the prospect of fighter mode only VFs. However, being at a similar price-point to the battroid GN-Us, completely kills it. It would have to be priced at least at half as much as a GN-U battroid to get my interest. Of course things would depend on how the Bandai 1/100 partsformer line turns out. If it turns out to be utter-ass, then I'll probably warm up more to a fighter-mode only line. The pricepoint of the 1/100s also gives you the other two modes. And to be honest, I have most of the valks I want in 1/60 scale already made by Yamato, and the fighter modes are fantastic. Once I get the 1/60 VF-11 my collection of Macross valkyries will almost be complete. All I'd have to wait for is a good VF-4, and some VF-25 variants that aren't pork chops. I don't care about enemy mecha except for the Q-rau. I would love a Q-rea, but fat chance of Yamato being able to make that anytime in the next few years... Then again, I don't know how I'd be thinking by the time Yamato made what Graham is proposing, and I might go out of my mind and collect them all! edit: I second a 1/60 VF-4
  13. The differences are probably like those between the YF-19/VF-19A and the VF-19F/S/kai/P, which would require starting over from scratch. Similar in appearance and transformation, but different enough in parts and fitting that slight changes would change how everything fits together.
  14. That sums up my opinion.
  15. SW-XAI Schneeblume anyone? or SW-XAII Schneegans?
  16. VF-171 in 1/60? Very likely need to get, since it won't matter as much if it's chunky, as long as it's not 1/65 M7 kind of chunky. So far Bandai could be doing better, but they're not.
  17. If it's the VF-4G from Macross Digital Mission VFX, then there should not be a fin on the head.
  18. I saw a California license plate "MACROSS" once while on the freeway. Was that one of you guys? I also saw a UN Spacy kite sticker on a truck while I was in line for the open call for "Corporate Headquarters".
  19. They are lasers. Not sure on the VF-19kai Fire Valkyrie. Check the Macross Compendium or the Macross Mecha Manual.
  20. That doesn't mean anything with the inconsistencies found in Macross Frontier's animation. They could have easily forgotten to animate the radome/disc/thing. Hell, we've seen one of the shoulder covers of the Q-rea disappear in the middle of a scene!
  21. I was curious about pilot swapping today so I tried it with all my 1/60 scale pilots. Isamu only fits in the YF-19. Guld only fits in the YF-21. Yang Neumann fits in the VF-0 and YF-21 (forgot to put him in the front seat of the 19). Shin/CF Pilot fits in the YF-21. I lack the SV-51 and new 1/60 VF-1. Has anyone tried putting their Roy or Hikaru into any of the other 1/60's or other 1/60 pilots in the VF-1?
  22. Total agreement here. Though I liked the fact that there was blood, death, and violence in the cartoon. That it wasn't completely dumbed down like all the Disney stuff.
  23. Hudson Hawk, though I'm not ashamed of it. "Bunny, ball-ball."
  24. Awesome comparison pics treatment! Really makes me appreciate the fighter mode on the new one.
  25. The HGIF are non-poseable figures.
