crap. Too far from CA. Sounds cool, as long as it's pre-FF7 music. FF7 and up didn't have all that great music in my opinion (with a few exceptional pieces).

The original Japanese one I stood around watching while I was standing around Yaohan in LA (now Mitsuwa and regrettably much smaller). I owe nothing to Macek since I ran into Macross Plus around the same time as I got interested in Robotech. Once I figured out and got confirmed the hackjob part, I stopped liking Robotech and continued to fall in love with Macross. VF-X2 was a sequel to VF-X and can only be found in Japan for PS2. I never played either one and heard that neither were all that great. If you want to play it, you will have to get an all region PS2 or mod a PS2. I didn't know it existed for PS2, I have mine for playstation. I remember back when they were planning to release it in the US... Then it got the axe. It kicks ass, beats the hell out of the first game, which was a POS. I only wish that they had included the VF-4 in VFX2...

I started on Robotech, but came to learn abut Macross. Along the way I came to realize that Robotech was hack-job trash and I stopped liking it. I hate hack-jobs and I hate low quality. Besides, this topic belongs in the "Other Anime or Science Fiction" section if I'm not mistaken. This doesn't even belong in the toy forums!

Max's VF-1S in DYRL extends the head during fighter mode and turns taking a shot with the lasers at Miria's Q-rau. I tried to get my VF-1A to do that, but it didn't work.

If they make a 1/60 resculpt VF-1 to have all the features of the 1/48 I'm damned well sold! As few die-cast as possible, lots of ABS plastic, some new pilots that have legs... Sell it for like $40-50. Till then though, although I still like my 1/60 valks, the 1/48s are my preferred.

I can't remember about in M+, but in the opening animation for MVFX 1, there is a scene where the pilot of a -19 transforms his valk into Battroid from fighter, and flips the throttle into an up position (bending it into like a joystick). Although I think they flipped the animation so the throttle appeared on the right... I can't answer your other questions though, sorry.

Damn that Q-rau looks nice! Can't wait for mine to arrive! To sum up for Haterist in my own words: Peasants! Looks like the Q-rau needs some red plastic plugs to cover up those screw holes. Otherwise, I'm perfectly happy with how it appears! And thank God for there not being any die-cast! Could you imagine this thing with die-cast legs like on the 1/60 VF-1?!

Oh, and here I thought it was gonna be some big problem like I dunno... Miria doesn't fit in the damn thing and you have to file down her sides or something. Or that Miria has a bulge in her suit... It's not like I was expecting a lot of posability. I'm happy with how it looks! The only thing depressing for me is that I'm gonna have to wait till the CMs Macross Figures series 2 comes out in April, to recieve my Q-rau I pre-ordered, since I choose to have the stuff ship together... (I'm impatient but getting butt-raped on shipping and most likely by French Customs twice I'm not willing to do).

I dunno about the abandoned city thing. I mean, there were cars everywhere still. The buses, all that kind of crap. I think it was an inhabited city, but they didn't bother to animate pedestrians in the street, the cars driving about, etc. I was always under the impression that the city was inhabited, and that Isamu and Guld were just too wrapped up in their personal conflict to really give a damn or take notice.

Graham had said this in one of the old Q-rau threads Does anyone know if the production version will have the visor glued in place or not? I wanna see Miria! Also, does anyone know what kind of figure it will be? Solid, gummy, movable... Graham already said anatomically correct, but I'm slighty doubtful...
