I wanted DYRL Flightsuit Max. I'm saving up money right now and not spending on ANYTHING at the moment. If I really want Max that bad, I'll hunt for him for years if I have to and pay whatever I deem is a fair price. Just like I did to get the DYRL Minmay (which I got the LE version with Hikaru for under $30). Releasing him as a chase figure sucks hard. Having something neat and different as a chase is better. The Minmay doll was cool. The cockpit was neat. DYRL shower-scene Minmay would be fun. A non-central character would be cool.

If Mari Iijima sings We Will Win or Stagefright, the destruction of Macross will be complete.

ADV might be going in the right direction of getting Mari Iijima. But, who knows if she can act in English? This is interesting news, but ADV has had a lot of crap dubs. If Macross turns out to be anything like Orphen... Pfff, screw the dub, even if it has Mari Iijima.

OMG OMG OMG OMG WOAH! My wife started screaming, she's a big Saga/Kanon fan. Oh man. 4 Heads: Good Saga, Evil Saga, Black face to use with helmet, and Pope Mask 2 versions of hair Gemini Armor Pope clothes, helmet, and shoulder armor Throne The mail-in Pope figure should be coming out in November I think. It will come with tweve stands, for the twelve gold saints, plus a stand for the pope. It has the pope Shion robes, pope Shion helmet, black head/mask, Shion's head, green hair, and a necklace. And you can put the Aries armor on Shion. Now what makes me wonder.... Will Saga have a jumpsuit painted on him like all the other figures? Or will it be anime/manga accurate, and he'll be naked, like he is most of the time under that armor.

I'm still waiting for an A model, and for the fixes from the first release.

It's holy grail, not holly grail, unless it's the taiwan bootleg. Over the past few years a number of the forum members have been burned badly by other forum members in trading and the buying and selling of items. Coming in here offering to keep an eye out for holy grails is an admirable thing if you do have good intentions, but you must understand everyone's hesitance after there has been trouble with long standing members of the MW community. You currently have no reputation for us to trust in because you're new here. People will be hesitant to trust in you until we get to know you and your reputation develops. Being so defensive won't help you. As for holy grails... Uh, I already have a gold book and the psoter with it, but I don't care about the film piece. I already have the LE CMs corporation series 1 Minmay and Hikaru (although Hikaru is missing his hair *sigh*). My Holy Grails would be 1) Yamato 1/48 YF-19 (doesnt exist. Yet!) 2) Yamato 1/60 YF-19FP (its down the crapper for now) 3) Yamato 1/48 VF11 (doesnt exist, yet!) 4) Yamato 1/48 VF-4G (only exists as that picture) otherwise I've got everything I want that has come out. Unless there's another cd with a different version of M+'s voices. I already have the Macross Tribute CD, M+ soundtrack 1 and 2, and Original Soundtrack Plus.

If it's being shown at a high school, M+ the OVA is safe. Don't take Ninja Scroll, too many boobies, and too much gore. New Dominion Tank Police is fun, but too much cursing if it's the dub (haven't seen it subbed). Orguss 02 isn't to everyone's tastes, but I think it's a great story. Yeah go the M+ route. If they don't like it... Screw them, you're better off waiting until college and searching out people more like you. Heh, you should show them Goldenboy. Myung. She's the only main female character missing from all the different Macross series. DYRL has Minmay and Misa. II has Ishtar. 7 has Mylene. Zero has Mao and stick-up-her-butt-psychopath. We're missing Myung from M+.

It's possible to overload the brain with information. That's why people pass out when they recieve really good or really bad news. Isamu couldn't have kept up with the Ghost unless him and Guld had traded planes. Isamu wouldn't have been able to take it out. The YF-21 got it's arms and legs blown off during the fight, the YF-19 would have been finished with the loss of the legs. The YF-21 was still capable of flight due to it's different design. Isamu would have lost control at the high speeds that he would need to maintain to catch a fleeing ghost. He repeatedly lost control in the simulators and crashed. And again, his body would have given out at the high speeds and g-forces. Guld could continue to see using the BDI system, long after his eyes had popped. Roger that. In the OVA version. In the originally planned movie version, it was a hell of a lot more than that. Since the movie version is the original story, I regard the OVA as fluff. I saw Guld loading the YF-19 with ammo more as an attempt to get Isamu in trouble for shooting Guld, rather than Guld managing to get the gunpod and shoot Isamu. To take down a ghost: 1) Come in from above from very far away. 2) Use a reflex warhead, nuke the bastard. If it's not taken down by the blast, the EMP will take it down. or You and your teamate keep dodging until it's out of ammo. Then you unleash hell on it, trying to attack it together to make it harder to dodge, especially when there's two pairs of lasers going after it. Yeah try to get it near the ground or in a city setting where it's maneuverability will be hindered. And remember, your PPB system is your friend!

I think someone at CM Corporation should have their balls cut off for making DYRL Flightsuit Max a chase figure. Or if it was a woman, may they have heavy painful periods for the rest of their life. Sephiroth was beaten too easily. It took an entire group to take him down at the end of the game. That Cloud took him down alone was a big omgwtf hax! When he sprouted that wing, I thought that it was over for Cloud. Boy was I dissapointed.

There is the big thing in the west for devoted fans to dub themselves otaku, but the standard Japanese loath and fear the otaku for a reason. It has very bad connotations in Japanese, and after having met, real living ones in Japan, I can contest that I NEVER want to meet one ever again.

If you want a bootleg, I can't really help you there because I don't like supporting the bootleg industry. For a collection of songs, go for "ramu no besto serekushion"/Lum's Best Selection. It has the full opening and ending of the TV series, and songs from the OVAs and I think from some of the movies. There's also a medly of all the songs, and a remix version. Plus between each song is a drama track. I unfortunately bought the SM bootleg, but it was way back before I knew that the $15 cds were bootlegs. Go Urusei Yatsure Movie 2: Beautiful Dreamer! My favorite Urusei Yatsura movie, and one of my favorite Mamoru Oshii movies (along with the Patlabor 1 and 2, and Jin Roh).

P1 is my favorite. P2 I can't remember, but I remember really liking it (it's been years since I've seen it). P3 sucked, it felt too empty and lifeless. I did love the mini-pato skits though! The anime club at my high school got sunk after the local anime store pulled their support (because all the tasteless drooling masses there watched was Dragon Ball Z), and they tried to watch GITS movie 1, and they got in trouble for nipples at school. Join the self-hating anime fan club! You can point at the tasteless masses and mock them from your superior ground, because they like crap... Because if you do it outside of the self-hating anime club, we'll have to hunt you down and pee on the walls of your home.
