Ooooh new Aphrodite pics, awesome sculpt! I'm definitely picking up Pisces when HE comes out. Funny to think that a number of Ranma 1/2 characters are Saint Seiya parodies. Ophicus Shaina = Shampoo Dragon Shiryu = Mousse Pisces Aphrodite = Kodachi Kuno There's probably more but I cant remember. My wife went insane when she saw te Saga figure. She's a big fan of Gemini Saga and Kanon.

Souls are cheap to come by nowadays, so probably something harder to come by... Morals?

So I'm Getting Married In A Month...
Sumdumgai replied to Zor Primus's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Congrats Zor. Feels good doesn't it? To finally marry your girl after that looooong loooong wait? My wife and I had a 4 year wait. Thankfully I don't need that remote. Because my wife is teh awesome! -
There's pics of Gemini Saga out. edit: there's also prototype pics of Pisces Aphrodite out, but I don't have them on this computer. Check out the whitezeta forums if your read French.

lol I'd rather be able to use the force. Lay around and make things float over to me. Make annoying people have accidents. Zap people. And dominate the weak minded. "You will donate your money to me." Although I still would want a real lightsaber... A collection of them. And a real blaster. And airsoft works well for me for some paper murdering fun!

A1 for governor! No wait, I forgot he can't take on Arnold because that's one of those things that he can't do... hmmm... Whoever gets put as admin should be a ninja and show ultimate power by flipping out and killing people.

It's a bad sign when someone keeps telling you to wait, and wait, and wait. It tends to be that they're trying to scam you by making you wait past the day limit thing so you're screwed if you file a complaint. At least with a MR lightsaber you can't cut yourself like with a real sword (like having an accident while cleaning the blade). Real guns make loud noise, can hurt your hand and wrist from recoil, covers you in gunpowder so you stink, and then you have to clean it. I prefer the toy world. Imagine if you swung your real lightsaber wrong and cut your hand off, or a chunk of your head, or something like that! lol

From a lot of stuff I've read about sour deals from other forums, paypal won't do much for you. All I ever read about is people getting the runaround, then paypal telling them that there's nothing they can do. Your best bet may be to get your money back through your credit card company. I won't buy from Parks. Besides the MPP incident, the idea of waiting months to get items is a big turn off. A number of people are still waiting for their ultimate saber kit from him. I hear lots of good things about him, but I've also heard a lot of complaints.

The wormy bugs almost made me puke and made me squirm. Good thing it wasn't some yaoi porno thing! I liked the movie. Didn't feel like 3 hours to me. It was plenty entertaining, and fulfilled it's objective of being an adventure movie.

Not all of the mental health industry is bad. Psychoanalysis, that's bad for treating problems. You dwelve into the past to try to find the origin of a possible mental problem, and it takes years of expensive therapy. If you only want to find out what caused you to have mental problems, then have fun. There's a bunch of different schools of psychology. Some are better than others. If you look deep into a crowd you will find some good people. If you look at just the mass, all you'll see is the crap. I'm certainly not going to become a pschological therapist. Too open to law suit, among many negative things. And as for MI3... What if it becomes one big thing about scientology? Bad guy persecutes Ethan Hunt because bad guy is a rich evil psychologist out to get his rival scientologist scammers out of the picture! Maybe they should change main characters for Mission Impossible, or at least change actors... As long as it doesn't continue down the path of the Bond franchise... Good god, I haven't watched the last few Bond movies they looked so bad.

Lucas Supports Charity With Lego Spaceship
Sumdumgai replied to Mr March's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I want a 1/1 scale Lego Death Star, that would stay floating in orbit above the earth by use of the stuff being worked by massive technic legos. -
Well, because of the MR contest for winning a gold Luke Skywalker ANH LE, there's been speculation that the Luke Skywalker item for 2006 will be a LE. To further back this theory is in the pic of the Obi-wan and Anakin costumes. The Obi-wan costume has a Luke Skywalker ANH lightsaber hanging off the belt, and apparently the activation box is screen-accurate... Meaning that it's on the other side of the lightsaber, instead of the way it was on the Elite Edition. Yep, Qui-gon Jin LE lightsaber is a certainty. Darth Vader might be his ROTJ lightsaber as a LE. There was confirmation a while back on the rebelscum forum in the prop section about a Darth Vader ROTJ LE being in the works. Boba Fett, there was something that brought people to thinking that there would be a Boba Fett blaster made. I think it was from some pics that were taken when MR was announcing some stuff at Comic Con, but my memory is really hazy on that. I only recall seeing a blurry pic of a Y-wing and Boba Fett's blaster.

From your avatar Dean, I take it you like Cloud. Draw him in a cool pose with his sword. FFVII counts because of that OVA that the name escapes me.

Draw a valkyrie. There's plenty of resources available so you can see how to draw any number of the different VFs out there. If you have some drawing skill, do a portrait of a character you like. Getting proportions right are difficult I find. Hands and feet are extremely difficult to draw. Practice copying an illustration of a character by eyeing the illustration (not tracing). Then do your drawing. I recommend practice copying some characters from a manga you like. Or, alternatively... Pick up a manga by Utatane Hiroyuki or Urushihara Satoshi, practice emulating his style, then draw a big boobied bouncy girl like Mai Shiranui.

May HG go belly up and all that is Macross go back to Big West, so that the gates of the west will be open for pure Macross goodness.

Looks like I may have to pick up the Patlabor movie again... lol Very interesting.

Curious. I shall reserve judgement until I see more about this movie. The first game scared the living crap out of me. Resident Evil got me to jump from crap popping out of windows and stuff. But Silent Hill scared the crap out of me. It was worse because I would only play it late at night.

Well, Master Replicas makes the Force FX lightsabers that have a polycarbonate tubing and a system of LED lights that light up and turn off in a way that simulates the activation and retraction of the lightsaber blade. The lightsabers that are out and available are: Mace Windu with purple blade Anakin ROTS Vader ESB Luke ROTJ re-edition (with the LED blade system instead of the old system). edit:past releases: Anakin AOTC (EL blade) Luke ROTJ (EL blade) Vader ANH (LED blade I think) Luke ESB (LED blade I think) These FX sabers have motion sensors in the hilts to play back the swinging sound from the movies, they also have clash sounds when you hit the blade hard enough (Anakin has 4, Vader has 1, don't know for the Mace and Luke). The Mace and Luke re-edition are older generation sabers and have 6AA batteries. The newer Anakin and Vader sabers take 3AA. They go for around $120 +/-$15. It's a good price for something that lights up, looks pretty accurate (except the Mace Windu lightsaber had to be fattened up for electronics, same with the Luke ROTJ), has sound, and you can hit stuff with it. The blades can break or get damaged, but that's if you mistreat it and hit them too hard. You can't remove the blade though. Otherwise there is Parksabers, owned by Jeff Parks. I've never done business with him and never plan to because of a little scandal that happened. Someone lent him their antique cameraflash (the one used to make Darth Vader's lightsaber) so that Parks could make copies and sell them. But he kept it longer than agreed, sent it back with missing and replaced parts, and acted like a jerkoff when confronted about it. Oh yeah, you can expect to wait months to get a lightsaber from him. His look a lot like the Star Wars lightsabers, but he has the details screwed up so that Lucas can't try to sue him again. His are electroluminescent. It's this film that's in this hollow tube that lights up. No power-up and power-down effect. His blades are famous for being super strong and not breaking. I've heard that people have utterly massacred and destroyed MR FX sabers in play fights, going hard. Some people say that they're unbreakable, but some people do manage to break them. They cost about $275, with removable blade so you can wear the hilt on your belt. No sound. There is the custom saber shop that popped up recently. I don't know about their reputation. They have simple looking handles. A handle with electronics and an electroluminescent (EL) blade is about $120. No sound. Don't know if it has an easy to remove blade. There's a couple other places that do EL lightsabers, but they'll cost a pretty penny as well. There's also other places that sell Parksabers. MR is the best bang for the buck I'd say. It's affordable compared to most of the other alternatives. You have sound linked to motion sensors. And it's officially licensed. Plus you have that nifty power-up and power down effect.

Here's the differences between the ANH, ESB, and ROTS skywalker sabers. The top is the elite edition ANH, LE/SE ESB, and LE ROTS. comparison There's a crazy auction going on for the Gold Darth Sidious LE lightsaber that someone won from MR a little while ago. Apparently they're selling it off. gold LE auction Someone I know on the rebelscum forums asked what the reserve is: $4000 he was told. Crazy stuff.
-
Well at least the Qui-gon Jin LE lightsaber will be coming out in 2006. A guy on the rebelscum forums visited MR and got to handle one of the prototypes. There's going to be .33 scale mini blasters. So if you can't a full size blaster up in Canada, maybe you can at least pick up a mini blaster.

50% Of Evangelion Movie Funds Raised
Sumdumgai replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
There was paperwork being done so that a live action Akira could be made. My wife was working in the manga industry in the west at that time, and all the companies that held the rights to the manga outside of Japan were having to sign some contract stuff related to the movie. But that was years ago, and it looks like nothing happened with it. So there were plans, but it looks like they went the way of the Macross Live Action, into the center of the galaxy, where they dissappeared with Misa, Minmay, Hikaru, and the megaroad-1. -
