  1. I still have my old Yamato YF-19 Isamu and Double nuts on display to this day. I decided I would just keep them even though I have 2 of the Arcadia and 2 of the Bandai.
  2. Personally I like both of them, but for me the edge goes to the Arcadia. I like the YF-19 over the VF-19 Advance for display purposes. The markings on the VF-19 Advance are just too much for me and look a bit gaudy, but at the same time the YF-19's marking are a bit too little. I display my valks more than I play with them, I get that the VF-19 is a more poseable toy in Battroid mode though so It does look good in that mode with dynamic poses, but I think the other two modes are not as good as the YF-19. The gaps are what get me upset in fighter mode and the packs are why I bought it as I missed the T-rex parts but when you equip them they cause another gap with a tab showing, so the value of the packs for me are not really that great overall. I also think the boosters look really stupid in Battroid mode, but that is just opinion. So for Battroid mode poseability I give it to Bandai, but for line art accuracy and display purposes I choose Arcadia. For someone that does not have the cash to fork out on an Arcadia I would Bandai if price is a concern. If you can afford it Arcadia gets my vote.
  3. Mommar, I agree on the VF-0D blue comment. It can easily be demonstrated that it should be a dark blue color, now as far as the shade or tone as you said that is another debate.. Ithink in peoples mind they want a light blue color due to the weathering and paint wear.
  4. LOL. the debate rages on. I would also like to know if there is anything out there that shows this specifically. I know that they used CG for VF-0, but is there any concept art or finalized art that is hand drawn or anything that can be used for reference. When I look at the Hasagawa box art I do see a blue/grey shade used, but there is some sort of lighting effect present.
  5. Here we go again , I'm waiting until we know these are in fact the final production colors. So far I'm liking what I see, I think a good blue grey shade might satisfy the majority. We see it in both shades in the anime so why not do it In between both colors..
  6. I think the Ranka figure comes with other 25 series valks as well. They included her in a couple releases, just can't remember which ones.
  7. My problem is that I did buy a couple of the 19 Advance because I did miss out on these. One of the biggest selling points for me was that it included the frontier style packs for fighter mode, I don't care for them hanging off the wing in battroid mode. Once I the gap in the wing root and tab sticking out I was highly disappointed, I was already worried about the gap in the back by the shield. I wish my buddy did not stiff me on getting these parts.
  8. I'm voting that the VF-19 Advance's worst mode is Gerwalk . I think the battroid mode is it's strongest mode, has a ton of potential for very dynamic poses, I put fighter second. Back to Gerwalk, I think I would have preferred a swivel joint on the thigh area for a better "A" stance, even though I don't really prefer the 19's in Gerwalk.
  9. Still confused about the modex numbers on this release. On the Tamashii site it shows Grace as 102 and the Fodder version has 302. Is it interchangeable somehow? David if you have bought enough from them they are usually cool about a cancellation. I have lost a point or another for cancelling. Also Fiona seems to be the easiest to work with imo. *edit* Looks like I lost a EXP point, whatever that is good for.
  10. Of course it was, that is why I got one. At first I was skeptical, but then when I looked at the pics side by side there was no question they worked out some of the aesthetic issues I had with the first one.
  11. My contact "friend" stiffed me on these . He was supposed to go to WF, but he was being a lazy bastard and did not want to compete with the lines..
  12. Yeah Nightcastle, this is what I meant by "Museum pieces" They are usually scattered all over military bases.
  13. I don't really foresee the VF-19 Advance demanding Ozma prices like during the VF-25S drought. The problem back then was that Bandai was limiting the numbers, but once reviews came out everyone realized they fixed the VF-25 series. It seems that the 19 Advance has a bigger production run and is still available the last time I checked. I was able to get 2 without any hassle really compared to Ozma. I had to wait until the reissue to really get the quantity I wanted with the 25S. The reissue of the 25S really cooled down the aftermarket prices. As far as the VF-11C goes it was a limited production run that warmed shelves. I got mine on deep discount on HLJ, but once it ran out it seems everyone realized it was gone and then Yamato never ran anymore as far as I can tell. I wish I would have bought a fleet of 11C's but only have the one I got on sale and 2x VF-11B's. Most of the Yamato valks afaik that had that logo on the box (bottom right hand corner of the VF-11C box) were pretty limited in the runs. I don't remember all of the releases that had that logo on the box but some examples are the VF-11C, VFX, Angel Bird, Low Vis Roy, 1/60 Armor parts for the VF-1 with missile launch effect parts, VF-4G, VF-1A cavaliers, The VF-1S Roy TV and the Super VF-1S Skull 1 that came with the Hikaru pilot in the new box art style,DYRL VF-1A Mass production and the 1/3000 SDF-1 Macross. I am sure there are more but I would have to play closet Jenga to get to all of the product boxes that had that logo. As far as I know the ones with the logo never got a reissue. Although the Chronicles exclusive Angel Bird and VFX did end up getting sold at retail too shortly after the exclusives were in our hands, not sure if they ran more and then let them out to market or what, but the retail version angel bird did not include the Fan Racer, not sure if it got the sticker sheet for the head either but I had to request those for the chronicles version I own.
  14. Actually doesn't the VF-22 appear in Macross 30? Did Guld show up in that game? I never completed it myself. If not, they could make the other variants from the game.
  15. Guld was dead by the time Macross Frontier showed Isamu. If anything you would think it would be a VF-22, but they did not seem to exists at all in the frontier fleet. Bandai would have to buy the Macross Plus license and I honestly am not predicting they will anytime soon. They Sponsored this new show and I have the feeling they are looking ahead without looking back, but I guess you never know.
  16. I think Jenius is pretty much on mark with that, unless they lost the license somehow.. I hope they are not afraid to make it, Mr.K said in the past that he wanted to revisit the SV-51's so it looks like it could happen since they are on the Mac Zero toys atm.
  17. I used to live on an Army base with landing field and we had an Army airbase really near where I lived. I also used to go to the Ramstein AFB a lot when I lived in Germany. All of the fighters that flew around there were in matte. Anything that was shiny was usually a museum or display plane at the front gates of the base or what not.
  18. ^This, if Bandai would make the jump for all matte on the Macross toys I would sell all of my version 2's to get the matte versions. Time to get out the sand blaster and fix those molds I know some people like the glossy look, but I prefer the matte. It looks more realistic for some reason and makes them look more model like and less toy like.
  19. I remember a long debate where some users took the measurements and calculated the scale, but I am not sure if everyone felt it was accurate or not.
  20. I thought so, but needed a conformation. I was hoping he did not make some hair brain announcement on twitter that I couldn't read. Well they do have some pretty sexy molds to say the least and that matte finish does it for me . I just wish they would include water slide decals if they are not going to tampo print the markings instead of stickers.
  21. I remember him as being a calculated calm individual with great piloting skills, I would not say he was emo. But the getup he wore was pretty questionable
  22. It released in May. If you mean standalone armor parts then no they have not released those.
  23. Your joking right??
