  1. From what I remember, Yamato had to send some employees to oversee the QC and build. I'm guessing that is not happening anymore.
  2. So, what would be the timeline on this? Trying to figure out budgets and whatnot. But I'm interested in a the 1/60 Painted.
  3. Well... That's exactly what I was planning on doing with it, so I will have to kindly decline.
  4. I have not cracked one out of it's box yet, but I do have a spare "A" Ghost that I think would look pretty good on the VF-0A. Has anyone posted pics of that set up? Mine has been sitting in my display case for years with nothing to ride on lol. I did not care to put it on my Yamato VF-0A CF, and my Yamato A/S's came with the grey ghosts in the box.
  5. That's nice to see, everything looks clean and in order. Looks Like they are practicing Kaizen methodology.
  6. Yeah I agree Xigfrid, this thing looks awesome but I don't build or paint. I would prefer a painted one but that is a bit pricey for me atm. Neptune, do you have completed one yet? I would love to see one next to a VF-1. I am guessing those are CG pics.
  7. So this does not include the decals needed to finish it off? Mainly the kite and the triangle shown on the finished pics.
  8. OK so looking at the pics, it looks like a lot of people have the angled head laser and I also notice in the pic above the backpack looks like it could be a problem too. We also have the problem of the leg socket part being glued in causing the leg to pop off during transformation.. C'mon Arcadia, I know they can do better than that. I wish they would have tampo printed the modex numbers on the wing and the vstab.
  9. I always compared these to say Matchbox cars which use diecast for the main body.. I think Vifam is wanting something made out of quality plastic but in 1/100 scale with great detail and gimmicks. I have been wanting something like this too for a while, like the Mig 29 and the F-14 from Mac Zero but in 1/60.
  10. I just meant toys in general..
  11. Nope, it does not fold in as far as I know.
  12. I wonder why Bandai did not try to do the VF-0D, didn't it show up in the episode of Frontier about the movie they were making based off of the events of Macross 0? So totally off topic, but I used to smoke cigs and back in 08 I switched over to electronic cigs (mods). All of the mods that are made in the USA and Europe are very expensive for the originals. Then came along China and they started knocking off the original designs, but could mass produce them using lower quality metals and cheaper labor and the means to mass produce them unlike the USA/Europe based original designers. In that scene people complain that the originals cost too much and then buy the clone stating they are cheaper. But what is actually happening is that the original mfg is actually making a way smaller profit due to the fact that they are using better quality stainless steel or copper and cannot do huge runs like China can due to the cost being more prohibitive and the higher cost of labor and not having access to these giant Chinese machine shops. It seems a lot of people don't get that and still support the fake versions whilst at the same time giving the Chinese mfg more profit based on margin. Personally I just buy the originals to support the creator of the product if I can't afford it, I don't get one.
  13. With the way the economy is going with China, I wish we could start having our toys produced in Japan again. I remember back in the day it seemed like the overall quality was better, and the Japanese are perfectionists. Well all of my family members and all of my friends that are Japanese anyway..
  14. For some reason this time around HLJ took my copies out of the original Arcadia shipper box and put them in another box, but it still has the tissue paper. Usually when I order multiples from HLJ that are the qty of the case, they just ship the case. Maybe Arcadia changed the case size to 4x units.
  15. Love the size of the 1/38 scale! I am wondering if Alter will release the Hammer head variants again. Could make a nice display of the last battle with a few of those. Been a while since I have seen that show, but didn't they call call them flip knight drones or something like that?
  16. Just stop it man We have faith in Jason!
  17. I thought Kawamori was with Satellite..
  18. Yeah I bought both of the Alter Yukikaze fighters the second time they released them. I wish they were bigger but they were the best I could get besides building a kit, which I have no skills or time for.
  19. Yeah I'm loving the "corrected" pic even more, makes me want to free one of my 27B's from the box.
  20. All 3 of mine arrived today from NY... then I left them in bubble wrap and set to the side. Just glad to know they are here for if or when I ever want to take one out to play with
  21. Hey Thom, there is a php tag for spoilers here. I think maybe you should explore how to use it. That said I gave up on this show by like episode 3, I knew it was not my thing back then.
  22. Hey Ridgebacks, I am not sure that they will announce them soon, but so far Bandai has released a matching set of parts for each color variant released.; My best guess is hang on for a bit and they will release a matching set.
  23. Did you end up getting the Alter one?
  24. Towards the end even Yamato stopped using the clear parts on the wings and started to just paint them in, I was disappointed back then. I think it may have begun with the VF-19 series of toys. All of my bandai toys don't have clear plastic parts on the wings either except the YF-29's. I wish both mfg's would go back to the clear crystal parts on the wings and then tint them the color they need to be. I think that is one of the things I really like about the Yamato VF-1 v2's.
  25. I thought it would be raining toys for me already, but maybe if all goes right all my stuff will land by Wed of this week. Mine say they left Osaka Int on the 28th, but I have seen no movement since.
