I have transformed my YF-21 several times and have noticed the same thing, but it seems to be holding up. It keeps the belly plates secure in fighter mode, personally I don't think it will ever break unless it gets really brittle somehow.

Yes the Fedex option is the best, the last 2 free shipping deals that I used at the end of 09 had the free fedex option. It was great because they delivered them on a saturday and the shipping was lightning fast:D

Great work as always Kurt, this is a truly amazing piece of work!

1/48+fp's, 1/60, And 1/72 Picture Gallery Pt 4
Loop replied to VF-18S Hornet's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I broke down and bought the figure and the bike. They should be arriving tomorrow Akira is one of my all time fav feature length animes. I have the kaneda and bike that Tod Mcfarlane made, but when I saw this it killed the other in my eyes lol. I guess some of the Valk's I had on my list will have to wait now -
Is it just me or did they also raise the prices? I used to always order the 3 packs for a good deal and now they don't offer that option anymore

Please take some pic's of this when you get it! I finally just opened my GFF Metal Composite Limited MSZ-006A1/C1[bST] Z plus [bLUE], and it's a beast. I was not sure if I would like it very much, but it's a really sick piece on display. Although I am really more into Macross, I might in the future get a few more of the GFF series toys.

It's been a long time since I ordered anything non Macross, but I have a Project BM! Akira Kaneda's bike and Kaneda Shotaro figure coming. I decided to give BBTS a shot since it was a lot cheaper on shipping. I had to wait longer than most, but this will be a nice addition to my collection.

The Itano circus version was a web exclusive is how I understood it. That's the version I bought, which does not include the VF-1J with it. The version that most people got when it was first released in 1/60 scale came with the VF-1J. They are also releasing the armor as stand alone. AFAIK the only one with the missiles is the Web exclusive version. The only real reason I got the Itano version was that I have the 1/48th scale set and wanted the visors to match I bought the VF-1J seperately and it did not have the yellowing that some users were experiencing with the gift box version. I still should check it out for knurled shoulder pins though.

Hence your asking for pictures of the pilot in another thread?

Nice shipping times! My stuff used to float in and out of customs like your shipment, but they have been holding stuff that comes through SF CA.

Got my VF-1J today! Seems like lead times from Asia are speeding up. Seems like US customs has been the thing slowing me down lately. The box was packed perfectly and the box is in awesome shape. HLJ Japan has also been good to me. I still think some of the prices are crazy high. Also I hate how you never really know the total until they ship it.

My 1/60 GBP Web shop exclusive armor shipped amazingly fast! If it were not for US customs I would have had it earlier this week. The item was packed well, and the box is flawless. 1/29: Waiting on one set of 1/60 GBP Web shop exclusive armor. (HK Collectibles) 1/31: Also waiting on 1/60 VF-1J v2 (First order with Overdrive)

I only tend to use EMS, I thought there was no insurance on SAL packages.

I had this happen to me once, last year during all the crazy HLJ sales. I live in Seattle, but it went the opposite way around the globe........

Yeah I am enjoying the Stealth with the Stealth Super & Strike Parts. The Armor is for the VF-1J Hikaru. I contacted the vendor and they have a spare that they are sending to me

Update! . So I decided to open my 1/48 VF-1J Stealth to take a look at the gear. The mold looked very nice and smooth unlike the VF-1J. I think the reason for breakage was due to the mold being really bad or overused. Here is a pic of the gears I got on the Stealth.

How long does the overdrive parts replacement take?
-
I also like the 1/60 v2's, which is the bulk of my collection. I just could not resist the 1/48's though and ended up buying a 1/48 VF-1J stealth and fast packs. And then I decided I wanted a set of the 1/48 anime colored GBP armor and Hikkie 1J The Stealth is still in the box I'm kinda scared to open that one up for now....
-
I noticed the molding work looked really bad also, the part is not smooth at all like my other valks. A lot of raised up edges and seam lines.
-
Again, sorry for the large pic as I don't know how to reduce the image to a thumbnail I was looking at a replacement part chart and could not find the part that broke..... Would I be looking at replacing the whole R-L2 part?

3 out of 6 of my VF-1's have knurled pins including my VT-1

Honestly, I was very gentle. The left leg is fine, I can pull it back and forth and it holds. When I rotate that section of the leg I am very careful and do it one click at a time and hold both sections at the same time. It just seemed really brittle..... during the motion it just kind of fell off and did not take any kind of force to make it fall off. If you look at the break it is raised a bit almost like there could have been an air bubble. All of my 1/60 VF-1's are fine(6) and have held up greatly, I pose the legs all the time on those. I found the peg and attempted to super glue it back, but hopefully I can find a replacement for it.
