    Actually NY had lowered the price and put the 171 on sale for a week or two after I have already got mine from the pre order. After release it was actually cheaper for that small window of time. I think it was due to it not selling out like they thought it would.

    Got my VF-19F today from Amiami. The box was in bad shape for a new product..... there is a tear and a huge crease in a half circle shape where the tab on the side is to open the product. Enough with the box though. I was supposed to buy a set, but feel like if I hold off a bit I can get the second one cheaper maybe. It all depends on what happens with the current flood of releases. I have one of everything on pre-order thus far between Bandai and Yamato, the 1/60 valks of course.

    Still no reply Graham? I just want to make sure I am buying the right thing at this point. If I have to buy the valk by itself and then buy a seperate set of super parts to get the Diamond force, I'm OK with that. I am still seeing white stripes for the version that includes super parts and blue stripes for the one that does not include the parts. I am using the Yamato site for color reference, when you zoom in using the zoomer you can tell one is white and one is blue. I hope it's just a mistake with the photos.

    Mine cleared customs last night (Sun), if it were not a holiday it would normally be out for delivery on Monday or Tuesday.

    I noticed they included grey option parts with new release of the SSP's. I bet they would go great with the VF-X, although mine has never left fighter mode..

    I am currently mulling over if I should get another version 2 Elint. I have never had it in Batteroid mode so I don't think I will even miss the option parts....

    LOL, I am with you man. The sad part is I skipped all the Yamato valks up until the 2006 releases and just thinking back 6 years is making me feel old

    I have both my VF-25's setup in the armor atm. Once I get the rest of the squad I think only Ozma will don the mighty armor parts and Alto will go back into his super parts along with the rest of the squad.

    For me none of the collecting Macross toys is really about "investing", it's the fact that the valks give me a warm feeling when I look at them on display. I really wanted this valk for a while now and am willing to pay the price for it.

    Paid for mine this morning also, the price was a bit higher than I expected with shipping incl, but I can't complain I guess. C'mon America, lets get our sh!t together and fix our broken economy, so my toys will be cheaper. PayPal give us a better exchange rate also, that would help a bit too.

    I know a lot of us actually prefer the matte finis on our Yamato valks, but these valks were meant to have a glossy finish to begin with. I also read that Kawamori-san said they must be in a gloss finish. If you watch the show really closely you will see that the VF-19 variants are actually glossy. I find it easier to tell in one of the later episodes the one where max de-folds close to the surface. Was the episode called Operation Stargazer? If you watch Emerald forces canyon run and look closely at the color you can see the reflection effect in the animation. I was kinda bummed initially when I found out they were gloss, but I am really impressed by the 19's that are in my collection and really can't complain.

    LOL, not really unless you are buying.... I only wanted enough for my skull squad and the Hikaru VF-1S, but ended up with an extra pair and that is on my dupe Roy VF-1S. I took them off my VF-1S Max.

    I find it so strange that so many people need SSP's I have 5x of the separate ones and 1x set that came with the VF-1S super strike plus bundle. I grabbed as many as I needed as I noticed they were always out of stock when I first got my Skull squadron together. Sorry for the horrible pic though That's exactly how I ended up with my current collection. I had to prioritize the releases I thought would disappear faster and buy the rest later, it worked out well so far.

    +1 I agree with this here..... If I passed this up and were not able to get one based on extreme pricing or no availability I would regret that decision hard.
