Looks like tonight's Macross Modelers show was all about the 1/20 scale offerings from Max Factory. Special thanks to Tochiro for the pics and info. I was at Zumba tonight, so I missed the showing.

Maybe that big "Exhibition Only" sign means they made just one copy to show off, not to sell. -

Never got hit with Customs charges. Sometimes the Amazon stuff can be insanely high-priced on shipping (for those that feel like shipping to Japan). Luckily,I've still got family in America, so they can ship on anything to me that's either too expensive or won't be shipped overseas.

I myself would like to see a VF-17 before a VF-4, mainly because I've already built a VF-4! And the only VF-17 I've got is the Wave Battroid. My guess will be the Macross 7 kits: VF-17, VF-19 Kai, and VF-19S, since they've already done Battroid kits of those, and may still have the license.

Also, the little box from Wave states that they're going to be doing 1/72 scale VF's, that have not had a model done in that scale before. Time for an injection kit VF-4? VF-17/171? VF-2? Something obscure like a VF-14 Vampire? Just have to wait and see!

I think this is just a one-off licensing deal for conventions. You contact Big West with what you want to make and sell, and they'll tell you nay or yay. And if it's a go, they'll also limit you to 20 kits, or something. That's why these event-only garage kits are so rare and expensive.
