Brand new, it sold for ¥1890. Right now, there are 5 available on Yahoo Japan auctions. Hope those help!

First, push play. It may actually enhance your viewing pleasure! Finished up Aoshima's 1/48 scale Airwolf. Sometimes, have to take a small break from Macross kits. Made a few mistakes, though. Biggest thing, and this is the second kit I've done it on- DON'T THROW AWAY THE SPRUES UNLESS YOU ARE DONE WITH THE KIT!!!!!! It's always 1 or 2 small parts that you miss (such as the upper and lower collision lights) Anyways, on with the kit! Now, I just need to try and find Aoshima's Blue Thunder, and complete the set.

Awesome Freeware MMO realtime Strategy Game; "AIRMECH"

What's with the Front Line Assembly reference? Did they do the music for the game? -
(I honestly have no idea where my current avatar came from. I just saw "skull fighter pilot"; saving now!!) So, here's the pics. Like the box shows, this is #3. I guess #2 is just the fighter. Bought this on Rakuten the other day for ¥12,000, shipping included. Pretty good deal, I think. all the bits laid out The booster, and FAST packs 2 HMM's, and 4 missile pods (what are those called, anyways?) more bits Going to be building this one with the FAST packs (so, no need for the new Hasegawa release for me), using the boosters on another kit (can finally stop looking for the Seventh Moon kit), and using the missiles on yet another kit. And when will I actually get around to doing all these? Your guess is as good as mine!!

Ah, heck, I'll go ahead and post them here too, so people don't have to dig. Mikimoto-san Tenjin-san Got them both at the Macross the Design in Sapporo.

No problem! Give me a couple of days, though (probably have time Saturday).

Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
Jefuemon replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
Just looked. Still says "Coming Soon". I guess I'm one of the few who is not enthused about this release. After the disappointment I felt with their treatment of the Frontier line, I really have no desire for a new Bandai Macross kit. I do have some of the classic kits though, that I'll have fun building. -
In case anyone is interested, I recently bought the VF-11 #3 from Club M. In addition to the fighter, it comes with super packs, the booster packs, 2 high-maneuver missiles, and 2 missile pods. Oh, the things I'll do with you!! If anyone wants to see pics, let me know.

God, I love that show! Yes, I saw the Sky Perfect CM, too.

Finally found that banner. It's in the underground passage between Sapporo and Odori, right outside the Sapporo exit. Went though the display, too. Probably much smaller than Tokyo (unfortunately, no 1:1 Messiah), but well worth the ¥300 entrance fee. If you're in Sapporo before November 4th, check it out!

It was 15 degrees today. Practically balmy!! Didn't see any Banpresto stuff. The goods area is not all that big. They did have a VF-1 T-shirt I wanted to get. Hopefully they'll still have the XL size when I go back.

Stopped at Macross the Design at Sapporo Parco yesterday. Was #31 out of 100 to get a Mikimoto sign. Mikimoto-san, and I assume Sheryl What he was signing. He personalized each one, pretty cool! While Mikimoto was signing, Tenjin came out, and was signing random model boxes (featuring his art, of course), and putting them back on the shelves. He started his own little signing event, so of course I had to get in there. This is the 3-D poster he drew. Can't see it in the photo, but his signing looks like it's floating on top of everything. Mine was the first poster he had signed, and everyone was impressed at how cool it came out. I even saw several other people after me running to the shelf to buy and have signed. Trend starter? Got to talk with Tenjin for 5-10 minutes while waiting for a pen change. Nice guy. I was wearing a Macross World T-Shirt, and he mentioned that he talked with Graham a couple of years ago. I asked him if he was doing the artwork for the Hasegawa VF-25, and he said "probably". But, he also mentioned that he wasn't sure about doing the Bandai VF-1 art (if I understood correctly). Going back on Wednesday to hunt for that big banner (actually between Sapporo and Odori, not Odori and Susukino. Tokyo people know nothing of Sapporo! ), and actually go into the exhibit.

Just got Mikimoto's and Tenjin's autographs today. Going to post them here tomorrow.

One that you bought, and was just too much to handle. Like I said, I got the Technique Impossible, took one look at the instructions and parts, and knew there was no way I was going to be able to build that. @cobywan Ahh, wood model ships. Didn't even think about those!
-
I was thinking about that when I had to pass on picking up a Studio Halfeye YF-21 a few months back that I saw for around ¥8000. Awesome price, but I knew there was no way in hell I'd ever build it (I remember seeing a scan of the instruction sheet). So, what's the most difficult model kit you've ever actually bought? Mine was an Evangelion Technique Impossible from Kotobukiya. Picked it up on Yahoo Japan auction, soon as I got it and opened the box, I put it up on eBay. That was about 10 years ago, so I might be able to tackle it now, but I remember that thing being complex!!

Macross the Design just started at the Parco here. Wife was nice enough to go right at the opening (even after working overnight!), and she snagged me a ticket for a Mikimoto signing. Also got me a ticket to the talk show, too, but I can't make it to that. Yes, I love her, and I'll keep her! Guess there's a huge Macross banner down in the underground passage between Odori and Susukio stations. Grab some pics tomorrow.

Actually, you can't anymore, since I bought it yesterday.

Thanks. Didn't know there were 2 different versions.

What all is included in this kit? Of course it comes with the VF-11, but are the Super Packs, and booster included as well? They're on the instruction sheet in the Legacy Models sections, but the sheet scan doesn't have the parts inventory page. Anyone have one of these, and can tell me for sure what all is in the box? Thanks!

Yes, weathering would really take away from this particular build. Which kit was the base model? One of Valk009's, or a different one?
-
Mr. Thinner, of course! I like the Mr. Leveling Thinner a little better than regular Mr. Thinner. There's an additive in it that makes the paint dry just a little slower, so it levels out. For cleaning, I use regular old lacquer thinner bought at a local home improvement shop.

AWESOME!!!! I hated my Bandai, but love the VF-25 design. Can finally give it some proper love. Now, if they do a VF-25S, do you think the Bandai armored parts will fit?
-
Yes, they're recasters. Probably 95% of sites where you find a huge variety of various series' resin kits are going to be recasters. I will admit that I've bought from them before (a long out of production VF-2SS Valkyrie 2), and the quality was really good. My rule, if you can find the original kit, buy that. If it's long out of production, your conscience call.

Nope, not advertising for, warning against (please note I blurred out the address on the pic I stole borrowed from the site). Show what he's hawking, so that if people see it popping up on eBay or somewhere else, they'll know these are the ones to avoid.
