  1. Once upon a time, someone posted a video of cyber-goths "dancing". Someone suggested that it would be better with a song change. I agree...
  2. I haven't even gotten around to finishing the filing of the original 50. Don't need another 80, and don't have the room for them, either.
  3. Saw these while doing some research on Tsukuda Hobby vinyl figures. Anyone know anything about them? City Fight. Dog Fight. Space Fold.
  4. One guy is trying to sell his on Yahoo Japan auction for between 8,000 and 10,000 yen, but no takers I saw another Minmay listed at 3,000 yen, again, no takers.
  5. Thanks! No rush to get one, but I do want to get one. Constant reminders so no one forgets.
  6. Any new news? Still having trouble with the base?
  7. Not tough for me. I'll pass. I'm happy with the original set.
  8. How about a small, car navigation case? Here's a shot of how big it is
  9. Back when rec.arts.anime.models was an actual alive newsgroup, and not a spam receptacle, I read about one guy who made a spray booth out of an old stovetop range hood, and some spare plywood boards. Made a box out of the plywood same size as the hood, and said it worked out pretty well.
  10. My current build is the VE-1, too. AHHHHH!! Race to the finish!!!!!!!!!
  11. Looks a hell of a lot better than my first kit... Good job on the seam lines on the super packs. That part always gives me a little trouble. For my personal preference, I don't like the big, blotchy shading on the strike cannons, but that's just me. All around, a very good first effort.
  12. A few of the Hasegawa VF-1's I've built in the past year or so. Currently working on the VE-1 now.
  13. Amazon Japan has a bunch.
  14. Small brushes, like Mr Brush Round 20/0, and a Seiundo 10/0, plus a magnifying lamp work wonders for your small modeling. In general, I'm really beginning to like Seiundo's brushes. I started out with the 10/0, then bought 2 different 3 packs, one for figures, and one for armor. So I'm pretty well set for fine brushes, and also big and dry brush brushes. (edited to change my link to the 20/0 brush) Oh yeah, and since I live in Japan, Hobby Search won't give me the English page, even when I hand type it in. Just slap the "eng" into the address, and you'll get the English page.
  15. Left over EVA Unit 1 light purple (eva blue-grey) from the Mr Color Unit 1 color set. Pays to hang on to your old colors!
  16. Working on Hasegawa's VE-1 right now. Some cockpit shots before it gets closed up, and the detail lost.
  17. The main part of the kit is the VF-11D Thunder Focus kit. The Jamming Birds super packs, and other markings, are scratch.
  18. G∀LMET!! Got to hang out with them Friday night (November 2nd) they all signed my CD Then saw them live the next night. Awesome show. 6 bands for only ¥2000. Got to be front row center for Galmet. They all smiled and waved to me when they came on stage. Then after they finished playing, Miki gave me her set list. Very awesome weekend!!!!! I may have already posted that vid, but it's worth another look.
  19. Pictures may not be the greatest, but it's the subject matter that counts.
  20. Yeah, it would, since I have no idea what I would do with them then! Yes, I know what you're subtly hinting at, but I have absolutely zero experience in that. I know a lot of people around here have been playing with 3D printing to make up their own weapon sets. I'm sure something will come up.
  21. The VF-1D's seem to be going for around the original, new price. The 1/72 Glaugs I've seen going for around ¥8,000 to ¥10,000 on Yahoo Japan (I myself bought one a few years ago for around ¥7,500). I have seen one guy trying to sell his for ¥25,000. Gee, for some reason there have been no takers.
  22. Hasegawa has these. Don't know if they'll have enough "umph" for the Yamatos, though.
  23. How about on my workbench stereo speaker? Stringfellow can watch every build from now on...
