  1. Doesn't get much heavier than this, baby!
  2. I always thought it started with the remake of "War of the Worlds", that creepy sound the Tripods made.
  3. Oh, they're the ones who did the Metal Siren, too? I still see that floating around Y!A.
  4. No. you're not crazy. That's about the bidding price now. If you want to bid, contact either Celga or Rinkya. I myself have personally used Celga when I used to live in America. Only lost out on one auction (sniped in literally the last minute). I've heard others here who like Rinkya.
  5. Browsing through Yahoo Japan auctions, and I came across a Meltrandi ship, put out by a company called "Flat Factory". Looks like it was available for sale at the recent Treasure Festa. Pictures to be found here. Here's the auction, for the next 2 days at least.
  6. Good luck! In my experience, I've had failure at any of the electronic bits (lighting, moving motors, what have you) at around 97%. Even with something as simple as the PG Zaku II head.
  7. The Nora kits are still pretty common, and new they retail for around $32.00 USD (¥2800)
  8. Happy 2013 fellow MWer's! As this is the Year of the Snake, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use an older photo of me for my New Year's card. 新年あけましておめでとうございます!今年もよろしくおねがいします!
  9. Set yourself a goal, then stick to it. At least I start out the New Year (in 5 hours) with a clean slate! (not looking at the over 30 books I need to put away, or over 30 models I've still got left to build...)
  10. Finally finished filing it all away. Took me about 2 hours to do the 8 or so issues I had left. Still no interest in picking up an additional 80.
  11. Just got back from seeing it in glorious 2D. I liked it. I had reread the series (Hobbit and LOTR) a few months ago, so everything is still pretty fresh in my mind, and I never once said "Hey, why did he do that?", like so many other book movies I've seen. Of course, your results may vary.
  12. All the stickers are that bad. Yet another reason why I really don't like Bandai's Frontier line. So glad Hasegawa is going to produce at least the 25F next year.
  13. I'm making it public here now; My vacation resolution is to FINALLY get everything properly filed.
  14. Went old-school in Tokyo over Christmas weekend, and grabbed a 1/72 VF-1A Super and VF-1S Strike from Yellow Sub/Club M. Thanks to the Hasegawa kits, these old resin beauties are becoming dirt cheap. (around ¥3000 each for these). The Tokyo trip was the main gift, actually.
  15. Merry (late) Christmas!
  16. If anyone follows Tenjin-san's Twitter, he's posted a little info about the Macross display in Osaka, including a pic of the full sized Messiah.
  17. Slowly making progress. Hopefully I'll finish it before the year does.
  18. 1/72 or 1/48 hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  19. Yes, that's a very nice poster even nicer when you can get Tenjin-san to sign it.
  20. Much better than my first build! Are you using any kind of decal solvent/setter? They really obvious on the FAST packs. This is what I use, and really like. I sure as hell don't pay that price for it, though!! I've had one bottle last me about 10 years, now, and that includes accidentally spilling some if it.
  21. Saw Maverick (again) last weekend. Nice finding a local band that I like!
  22. Looks nice! You should start up your own thread over here, though, for completed kits. Might get more people to see it that way, too.
