It happened 1 time, about 15-20 years ago. Everyone complained, and they got rid of it. I'm not saying you can't buy used panties, you just have to go to a physical (brick and mortar) sex shop to do so. (EDIT for clarification of physical sex shop)

Not really Macross per se, but it got me wondering if they took the Skull Squadron logo from the US Navy, or is this pilot a Macross fan? http://youtu.be/nw0gjw1XIIk

Just found one on Rakuten. Unfortunately, not really in the market for one now. Maybe someone here? Rakuten does ship internationally.

Macross related items on WonderFestival 2013 Winter (JAPAN)
Jefuemon replied to ahiachris's topic in Model kits
Problem with this guy, though, is that he's trying to sell at double the price. Look how long he's had that VF-171 kit for sale, 3 years! It retailed at 10,000 yen, and he started offering it at 20,000. If it drops a little further, I may have to finally grab it, though. -
So, is it going to be "Arcadies" instead of "Yammies" now?

Macross related items on WonderFestival 2013 Winter (JAPAN)
Jefuemon replied to ahiachris's topic in Model kits
Experten makes them, and yes, they're event-only. You can find them on Yahoo Japan auction, though, for around ¥30,000. -
Looky at what I just pre-ordered!

Yes, it will be. But with Hasegawa quality, that's the only mode you need.

It will remain a secret. But thanks for the image!

As some of you may know, I'm a big metal fan. And one of my favorite bands is an indie band out of Osaka called Galmet (I've seen them live, met them, and am Twitter friends with several members)(like being a twit-friend is all that important!) Anyways, Miki, the lead singer, has another band called Lujaneeza that you should check out. With this band, she uses her "clean vocals", and not her death metal growl from Galmet. Ordering the CD right from the band, and I'm getting a free poster to go with it. Cool!

Kicker, on your posters' pictures, why is everything mirrored?

Thank you. Guess I should have also mentioned I've been building off and on for close to 30 years, too...

A tool set would be a good start. Probably won't need to use the screwdrivers all that much, but they are nice to have. In addition to that set, go to your local drug store, and in the beauty section check out the emery boards for nail smoothing. Those work great for smoothing out excess plastic on your parts. Probably want to get yourself a paint brush set, too. Paints, that will have to be your decision. There are 3 mains types of model paints- acrylic, enamel, and lacquer. Also where you're located will have an impact on what you use. I use Mr. Color from GSI Creos. Lacquer based, so its fumes can be pretty nasty, but it dries super fast, and is pretty tough. Thing is, I think it's real hard to get it outside of Japan. I'm sure others will add their paint opinions. For the glue I use, I like Tamiya Extra Thin and Mr. Cement Deluxe Hope this helps! Oh, and here's everything I've built recently.

I really wish people would say "diorama" instead of dio. His music is awesome, though.

Kit is fully painted. I use Mr. Color paint for my kits, and before I would do a wash with very diluted Tamiya enamel paint, with no trouble (except for Bandai's VF-25, but I don't feel like going into that mess of a kit) with the plastic being eaten away. Right now, I use a product called Promodelers' Wash-black. I've been using it for about 2 years now, and really like it, and I'm still on my first bottle. What I like about using that is it's very easy, and you can apply it over a properly set decal, so you can get the weathering effect over the decals, instead of a clean decal sitting on a dirty panel. I have never done any preshading. Honestly, I don't like the effect it gives, but that just my personal opinion. Original Musashiya. Saw that color scheme in "This Is Animation:Macross Plus" and couldn't pass it up.

Oh. I've got the kits, don't worry about that! I just don't have the room for more display cabinets. (doublecheck my location to see why)

On auction, or people who will never build them selling them. Plan on paying around $400-600 for one.

Redid my model display a little bit. These are all but 2 of the Macross kits I've built so far. All are 1/72 scale.

What I was hoping to be the last kit completed in 2012 actually turned in into the first kit for 2013. Oh well! Pretty much a straight forward build. Used pilots from the weapons set, and a Jasmine Models PE set. And as an added bonus, 98% of the Macross kits I've completed so far.

I got mine at Macross the Design in Sapporo, and I'm pretty sure it didn't cost that much. Probably worth more now, though, since I managed to get Tenjin to sign mine.

question on Yahoo Japan Auctions
Jefuemon replied to Major Focker's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
最高額入札者 : なし means that no one has bid on the item yet. If there are bids, then the user with the highest bid goes there, such as on this other auction for the non-scale Meltrandi ship.. 最高額入札者 : tig***** / 評価:583 Don't know about the quantity part. Can you post a link to the original auction?
