GO TO DMC!!! GO TO DMC!!! (check out my signature) Couple of notable omissions I noticed. There are no Itami Juzo films (Tanpopo, Marusa no Onna 1 and 2, Minbo no Onna to name a few), and no Kouki Mitani films (Radio no Jikan, The Magic Hour). Both of them are really good comedic film makers. Itami's are more satire of Japanese culture, while Mitani's have sweeping casts of big-name stars in farcical situations.

Cammo patterns aren't all that tricky, as long as you're not trying to do digital cammo. They're kind of fun to do, too! Start with your lightest color, then lay down the darker colors on top of that. examples done with my Tamiya set-up.

They're going to be at the Shizuoka Hobby Show, May 18th and 19th Argh, I'll be down south at that time, but I'll be seeing my favorite band in Osaka that weekend instead! Well, maybe next year.

Glad I could be of help! Going to be trying out that vernier technique on an old Imai Gerwalk kit. Looks simple enough, but I'd rather mess with an old kit I really don't care all that much about than a Hasegawa kit.

Was there any differences between the red box color and blue box color VF-1S Strike Valkyrie fighter kits from Club M/Yellow Submarine? I've got a blue boxed one, but I've seen red ones on Yahoo Japan auctions from time to time, and I'm just curious.

Is this the Roboblech film we're talking about, or are we already going into porn-parody territory?

Help? Any one with a spare part J23 & J24 for any of the Bandai 1
Jefuemon replied to wm cheng's topic in Model kits
No problem! Was never going to use it anyways. Got it sent out today after work. Use it in good health! -
Still waiting for the release over here....

Just got notice from Amazon that it's shipping. And once I get it, EXO has asked me to do a review for the front page, so keep an eye open in the next few days!

A quick build of the Cosmo Zero. I have to say that looks pretty nice right out of the box, with no detailing work done at all.

Help? Any one with a spare part J23 & J24 for any of the Bandai 1
Jefuemon replied to wm cheng's topic in Model kits
Shouldn't have to have the head out in Gerwalk anyway, right? If the pieces you're talking about are the ones I'm thinking of, I broke them too on my 25-F (yet another of a long list of reasons I don't like the Bandai kits), so I just permanently glued the head into the cavity it sits in. -
Help? Any one with a spare part J23 & J24 for any of the Bandai 1

I've got the same kit you're working on. I was planning on building it in Gerwalk mode only. Would those 2 parts be necessary for that? If not, I can help you out. -
Doing some hard-core masking. I learned from the 1/72 YF-19 to not bother using the small line decals on the legs. Painting them is much less of a hassle.

Happy 1 year anniversary of waiting! I can still wait, since I'm not really any closer to doing the Black Aces kit yet. Just want to let it be know that I'm still interested in buying one of these.

Does the booth's fan have enough oomph to push air though that long of a tube setup?

I'm seeding as well, when I remember to.

Basic for the Handy Drill, Fine for the pin vise. I've used all the bits from the basic set for various projects. Haven't had a need yet for the fine and the pin vise, but it's nice to have, just in case.

I think then you'll have the exact same set-up that I have. Use the Handy Drill a lot, have the fine pin-vise set, but haven't used it yet. Nice to have, though.

That's what I use. Everything is 1/72 scale, with the exception of the 1/48 VF-1J. Of course, I bought mine in Japan, so it may not be all that much help to you.

Bandai 15th Anniversary 1/72 Super VF-1A - worth it?
Jefuemon replied to Lorindor's topic in Model kits
I picked up a Super J a while back for only $5. Yes, it's worth it at that price. Compared to the Hasegawa kits, they're very dated. But, they're a nice beginner kit to cut your teeth on, as compared to the Hases. Bandai Hasegawa You will need glue and paint to put them together. I've actually still got a Bandai Super S waiting to be built. Gonna try my hand a doing some small modifications to it when I finally get around to building it.
