Pre-ordered 2. Gotta have both the -F and -S! Now, what to do with my already built Bandai VF-25F.....

The VF-4 is up for bids now.

Think that's why someone is trying to unload theirs at a ridiculously low price?

question on Yahoo Japan Auctions
Jefuemon replied to Major Focker's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Works like any other auction site. Thing is, unless you live in Japan, you've got to go through a proxy bidding service, because a majority of the payments will be done through bank transfer (not Paypal), and over 90% of the sellers will not directly ship to a foreign address. Also, if you live in Japan, and plan on bidding on anything over ¥3500, you've got to have a paid membership. I'll leave it up to others to suggest a proxy service. -
1/32 scale F-4J Phantom II. Only changes I'm making from a straight OOB are Jolly Rogers decals. Updated waiting to be be built pic.

I won't do a step-by-step, but it is rocketing to the top of the build list when I get one.

I think she liked Ricky in her younger days, then switched over to the kids when they came out. My mom was actually a "soft" metal head when I was in high school.

Guess I'll be buying 2 kits when they come out, since you can make them as an F or an S. Coming in November, ¥3200 before tax.

Looks like the same respirator I've been using for close to 10 years. Just use the organic vapors filter. As I only use it for model building, and it was sitting in a drawer for 5 years, I'm still on the original cartridge set-with no paint smell coming in.

I don't know if they've been posted before (don't feel like wading through 18 pages either), but I just saw these guys on Twitter. Macrostech and their logo is set as Macros Tech

One of the hospitals I worked at was a major burn center for northern Minnesota, and the surrounding area. My major beef with the trailer was the "4th Degree burns over 80% of his body" line. Dude should have looked like a charcoal briquette, but instead he's got an unblemished face and hand.

This is the Yellow Submarine/Club M one, right? I've got their Super Ostrich kit that I'm going to be starting (relatively) soon.

Sent a little thank you letter to Evan Designs about their LED's, and they decided to put my video in the customer gallery!

Probably keep your eyes on Yahoo Japan Auctions.

Stayed on the 59th floor of the tallest building in the picture when we went last month (Swissotel the Stamford). No need to go on the Singapore Flyer, since our room was at a higher level!

Oh yeah, I saw ads for them being in town when I was there. Damn, when did Lars get so freaking old?? The one time I saw Metallica was in the summer of 1989, on the ...And Justice for All tour.

Took a little break after my major VF-1/hanger/launch arm build. Ready to dive back in with a 1/32 scale F-4J Phantom II from Tamiya, with a Jolly Rogers decal set, so I can kind of tie it into Macross.

Books Nippan/U.S. Renditions - A Blast from the Past
Jefuemon replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I think Books Nippan is where I ordered my "Artmic Design Works" book from. My very first anime book purchase. Don't think I ever had the card. Strictly mail order for me, since I was in Minnesota at the time.- 33 replies

Going for the Ultimate Detail look. I did debate a little bit, if they were too big; but you gotta figure that these are for space use only, so throw aerodynamics out the window. [Edited for my overuse of the word "only"]

After I posted the video, I did ask Miki what she thought of the BGM. She said no problem, and was also impressed with the build. (Miki is the lead singer of Galmet, the band I've got playing while filming) And to Sketchly, guess I should have been more specific on who I was calling out. According to this old thread, looks like everyone and their brother picked up a launch arm kit, but I've only ever seen two built- wmcheng's, and the recaster who shall remain nameless. Noyhauser, mine's got the brass rod in the end part, brass pipe in the base part. I don't think there's going to be any sagging problem. Seems really sturdy. Also, Wave does make an octagonal H-Hanger. That was my original idea for the build. I went with the H-Hanger base, because the person I had gotten the arm from had accidentally trashed the base plate (which is why I got a super deal on it!) If I ever track another one down, I will do it as a wall mount, with the original base and signal light.
