Does anyone build Hasegawa Valkyries anymore??
Jefuemon replied to erikos0311's topic in The Workshop!
Thanks! My first resin kit ever. I'm very tempted to pick up another one to see what I can do with it now. -
Very nice! It's funny, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone build one of the Wave Destroid kits in canon colorization yet, myself included.

The Mr Color Twitter feed yesterday was full of images of random people lugging that bottle around WF.

65th Sapporo Snow Festival is going on now. Took my Canon Eos Kiss X-50 on Thursday night. Not my video, but they're doing projection mapping on one of the statues.

Yep, finished it last year. First completed kit of 2013. What I've got on Flickr is what I've got. What were you specifically interested in? -
Here's an interesting interpretation. Problem is, he put the feet on upside down.

The 101 with the open canopy? That's Hikaru's VF-1J Kai from "Macross the First". -

Great, now I'm gonna have to buy another Wave Tomahawk kit! -
If anyone is building an Alto or Ozma version, DO NOT use the decals for the tail and leg fins. They don't fit well, and you're better off just painting them to begin with, other than applying, and scraping them back off in order to paint. Yes, I'm speaking from experience here.

I took a closer look at my Bandai Tornado kit, and it looks like you could modify a Hasegawa kit relatively easy to make the armor parts fit. Looks like the only tricky part would be the leg armor, and when you build the wings you'll have to leave out the swing arm attachment, since that limits the amount the wings swing back, and to fit the Tornado parts the wings have to be all the way back. Of course, it'll probably be a total bitch when I actually get around to trying that......

Looks like it does.

It comes with decals for any of the Skull Squadron planes, Roy, Hikaru, Max, and Kakizaki. You can also build it as an A or an S. Of course, you're really only limited to your imagination with what could be built.

Why isn't anyone aiming for than unarmored hand?

Been here almost 10 years, and the worst I've had is people not sitting next to me on the train.

Mr. Hobby is their acrylic line. Mr. Color is their lacquer line. Different codes for each type. With an H in front of it, it's the acrylic line. Burnt Iron is actually H76. 61 is the number you need for the lacquer type.

I am so glad that Hasegawa provided an actual pilot figure, and not some under-scaled Timmy Torso that came with the Bandai kit.
