  1. And don't forget to tip your waitresses.
  2. I've used these guys before with great success, and I know nothing about wiring.
  3. Early '90's, in college a Japanese exchange student friend of mine let me borrow his un-edited English dub with Japanese subtitles copy. I later tracked down a fansubbed copy for myself.
  4. If I keep having to continuously hear the song "Let It Go", I'd much, much rather it'd be this version.
  5. Club M. You can still occasionally find one floating around.
  6. Hey, someone else finally built a Vf-1J改, and they're putting up for auction. Maybe with the on-line resurgence of "Macross the First", we'll start seeing a few more around.
  7. Hmmmm, template for trying a cell-shading paint-job on an old Bandai VF-1S Battroid kit I have?
  8. I am purposely waiting on starting my Super VF-1A until you get the launch arm finished and available. Looking good so far.
  9. Change in jobs really opened up my modeling time. Thing is, with my current "to do" pile, if I build 1 kit a month (and don't buy anything else new), I'll finish up in about 4 years.
  10. Going to be starting this very soon.
  11. I think that was just the weapons, not the vehicles or ships.
  12. Old school kit, with new school tooling. This is the Bandai rerelease of Imai's old 1/72 Regult kit. Even though it has new tooling, it's still an old school kit. Be ready for a lot of puttying and sanding!! Since the Zentradi didn't know anything about maintenance, I wanted to make this look like it's been in action a few hundred more cycles than it should have been. More to be seen at the regular place.
  13. Well, just look at how many Japanese movies get remade by Hollywood. Why not go the other way? That was filmed in Hokkaido, by the way. Big news around here when they started filming.
  14. If you want to be anime-accurate, what you need to do is get an extra "S" head from the previous release, paint the Skull 1 markings (or, take the decals from the other kit, too), then you've got Hikaru's Super ride.
  15. Here's the first video I checked out on the technique. I still need a little more practice, but I think I did well enough for a first time.
  16. First attempt at salt weathering. Think it turned out pretty well.
  17. Hervé, good book. That's where I got the recessed verneer idea from that I showed you earlier.
  18. For me, it's not about price, I just don't like the Spartan design. Never have. So not everyone will be interested in this.
  19. Thanks! I'll check it out, and see what I can find.
  20. If I ever get a chance, I'd like to publicly display a few of my kits, yes.
  21. British comedian Rik Mayall, dead at 56. If you're a fan of 80's/90's Brittish comedy, then you probably know who this is. I'll dig out my "Young Ones" and "Bottom" DVD box sets in his honor. Sorry 'bout that. Looked before I posted, but didn't see the existing thread.
  22. Thank you! No, no specific problems at all. Main build went together very fast.
  23. Right now, my photo studio is occupying my workbench.
  24. Latest addition to my completed collection. A 1/72 scale VF-11B Thunderbolt, from Hasegawa, plus a 1/72 resin booster set from the Club M release of same. The Club M release also came with the Super Packs, so that's why I used the boosters on this one. As usual, more to be seen here.
